There was an attempt to look offended but it was too short lived to be believable and instead Holly leaned in, arm on the back of her chair as her chin rested on her palm. âWe donât have to get along to make out,â she said with a raise of her eyebrows. âYou think making out on this beautiful evening would do us any harm?â She countered with a wide grin. It was hard to tell whether or not she was serious at that point and though she thought of Chase Hastings as a friend and just a friend, she wasnât planning on saying no to anything that night.
"You're right. People far worse than us at getting along have done more than simply make out." He picked his phone up off of the table and slipped it inside his jacket. He gave a slight nod, having caught the raise of her eyebrow and the way she repeated his question back, verbatim. "I don't think it could hurt very much, not unless a particular ex of mine takes it completely wrong." He stood up, holding his hand out towards her before pulling her in close. As far as temptations went for him, Holly was pretty innocent - she was creative and fun but anything beyond friends was off the table. But a kiss couldn't hurt much and with all of the dancing happening around them, joining in there couldn't hurt either. He gave her a quick kiss on the lips before starting for the dance floor. "C'mon, show me just how you tear things up out here."
