They pulled up into the carpark as Audrey looked at the Christmas Tree farm. Normally she would be overly excited about this but she felt a twisting in her gut. Christmas was something they hadnt celebrated in a while with everything that had happened. She had come a long was since then but it still felt off to her. Unbuckling her seatbelt she got out of the car and wrapped her coat around her saying nothing.
Elias could tell something was off with Audrey and he knew exactly why. Sure, it was difficult for them but he was determined to try and actually celebrate Christmas this year. Getting out of the car and locking it, Elias wrapped one arm around her.
Audrey snuggled into Elias and gripped onto him tightly as she bite her lip taking everything in. The pine in the air hit her sense’s making her powers tingle.
“Shall we find the biggest most over the top tree we can?” Elias chuckled softly to her.
“It has to fit in the house.” She frowned before realising that she would need to go shopping for more decorations because they had gotten rid of everything in there previous place.
“That would probably make sense,” Elias said as he kissed the side of her head.
Audrey shook her head at that. At least he was excited by the entire prospect.
Elias wanted to be the cheerful one if Audrey wasn’t really in the mood. “Let’s have a look,” he said to her softly.
Audrey nodded at that looking around
Elias was going to let Audrey pick whatever tree she thought was best; so he was mostly here for moral support.
They walked in and Audrey continued to look around her powers tingling as she tried not to use them. “See any that fit you big and crazy dreams.” She asked him.
“It’s not a crazy dream,” Elias pointed out with a roll of his eyes.
Audrey lent over and kissed his cheek at that.
“I just want it to look nice,” Elias told her.
“I know you do.” Audrey told him with a smile
“Anything look suitable to you?” Elias asked as he looked around
“Most of them. Depends what we want.” Audrey told him
“Theyre trees, there’s not much difference between them,” Elias chuckled.
“There is a lot of difference between them.” Audrey frowned at him.
“Which are?” Elias asked her.
Audrey didnt know how to explain it due to her powers. “I can feel the difference with my powers due to them being alive. But also you can see the apperances, some are busher some arent, some are taller some are shorter.” She shrugged
Elias found her being able to feel the difference interesting and he smiled at that. “Tell me about how it feels,” he asked her curiously.
Audrey frowned. “Its the same when we are in the garden, I can feel if a plant is healthy and when its dying. When its dying and i get close i can feel the pain inside of me, but when its alive and going great its like a tingling feeling.” She couldnt really explain it.
“You know I find that really interesting,” Elias said to her with a smile of encouragement.
Audrey blushed at that with a small smile.
“You’re adorable,” Elias smiled at her.
Audrey just buried her face into his chest at that with a laugh
Elias pressed a kiss to her head.
Audrey looked up at him smiling.
“I love you,” Elias said to her softly.
“I love you too.” Audrey replied
Elias looked around at the trees and pointed at one. “That one?” he asked her.
“Why that one?” Audrey asked him.
“It looks like a nice tree,” Elias chuckled. “Lots of branches.”
Audrey tried not to giggle at his description. “Is it tall enough for you?”
Elias tilted his head to the side as he considered it. “It is.”
Audrey watched him before giggling a little. “This is the one you want?” She asked him.
Elias nodded. “I think so.”
