“Wow, Eli, now I’m offended,” Ruby replied with a sly smirk upon her face. “It’s like you don’t want to be crazy with the rest of us.” She let out a small laugh. “Sometimes I find some people at the shop who’s car broke down from out of town, and they legit believe all the stories told here. I guess all of it goes with the theme.”
Ruby shook her head at his question. “I’m good, I gotta get back to work soon. Car parts and alcohol don’t exactly work well together,” she denied, hand up slightly at him. “It’s like trying to mixed drinks and drinking at the same time. It gets confusing after a while.”
as the clock hit the time his shift ended, he grabbed his keys off of the counter and threw the towel away from his hands. “yeah that doesn’t sound too good” eli walked to the other side of the counter next to ruby and leaned on it
“any plans for today, or are you up to save me from completely fucking up my sleeping schedule?” eli asked, yawning. he knew he was tired and would fell asleep immediately if he just laid down. but he was trying to keep himself awake, because he was a little too familiar with the feeling he would have tomorrow at work if he went to sleep now.
