I'm starting to wonder...
I know… It just kind of worries me. Did I do something to make him stop talking? Did someone else?
Baby, it's not your fault. It's just how it is, okay?

I don’t know what to think either. Yeah, I’ll bring him over and see if any of us can get something out of him.
If he doesn't speak today, it's okay.
Let's Get This Right → Charlie & Eli
The blonde could only attempt to withhold a grin as she watched him slowly come to, his sleepy and slightly confused expression melding into a happy and loving expression as he realized who exactly was nudging him awake. “Hi,” She greeted him back, finding his scruffy bedraggled look and raspy voice incredibly cute as she always did in the morning. While they were on their break, Charlie woke up alone almost every morning, occasionally joined by Levi who would crawl onto the pull-out sofa to spend some nights with her, making Charlie suspect that the boy had recurring nightmares or just sorely missed his father. Waking up without his face to look at had given her a kind of numb heartache, especially since she grown so used to having someone to snuggle up to in the morning, both insisting that they needed to get ready for school, but neither making any immediate action towards doing so. It was nice to think that she didn’t have to go without this for the day. She loved how he looked at him with a sleepy smile and half-lidded hazel eyes, a warm arm moving around her waist to pull her closer to his warm body.
As he placed a slapdash kiss on her cheek, she gave a breathy chuckle and took a moment to make an amused but grossed out face and wiped it off before she reached up to run her fingers through his mussed curls, which seemed to grow more unkempt by the day. She only looked at him as he spoke and moved closer, easily molding his body into hers as she stroked his hair, hoping her presence here was relaxing as opposed to imposing. “Well,” She began, taking a moment to stare at the room they were in, looking to see if anything had changed in her absence. “Levi’s with his babysitter, and I was already up early for a glee rehearsal. So what better to do with my morning than to come wake you up and terrorize you?” The blonde gave him a small laugh, reminding herself that they were probably the only ones awake in the house at the moment. “I also wanted to see you outside of school and occasions.”
The movement of her slender fingers through his hair gave him a sense of serenity and peace, Elijah's body molding closer with the blonde's to allow their body heat to mingle together. A grin stayed plastered over his pink lips, her company always one he welcomed with open arms, even early on a Saturday when he felt like sleeping in and avoiding everything else. She was the exception to any rule nowadays, Charlie and Levi being allowed to bother him any moment of the day. Only because it wasn't bothersome, but purely welcomed. Pressing his lips softly to the column of her neck, he listened to her explain her reasons for being there rather unexpectedly, and grinned wider as she ended her sentiments. "Oh and what a terror indeed," he joked, clearing his throat again in a measly attempt to rid himself of that morning croak, twisting his legs with hers beneath the covers to get more cuddled up. It was cold in the room, which held little differences to when she first left it, just missing her things mixed with his, the dresser covered in documentation by the record company hoping to give him success. Other than that, it stayed very much the same. Just colder, without Charlie there often to cuddle and warm him. "Well I'm glad you came," he said softly, a yawn present in his voice. He yawned against his forearm before curling closer into her, his face nuzzling where her neck met her shoulder. He took in a breath of her comforting smell, melting happily into this serene little moment. "How's glee going? Your Sectionals is coming up, isn't it?" he asked casually, holding one of her hands between them and playing with her smaller slender fingers. They were kind of cold, chilled from being outside, and the boy pulled back to bring the hand to his lips, kissing each finger tip gently before squeezing her whole hand in his warm grip, moving his lips to trace her collar bone and neck, her skin so cold yet her body radiating so much heat as they tangled up together beneath his bedsheets. "Let me know when so I can go and cheer you on," he said softly, pressing a kiss right below her ear.
I'm starting to wonder...
It’s just he’s over a year old by now, he should’ve at least said his first word by now. I keep trying to get him to say things like ‘ball’ or ‘dog’ but he only stares at me. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him, I just don’t know what would cause him to not speak. Is he shy? A late bloomer?
Char, I'm sure he's just shy. You can keep trying with him, but he'll say something on his own time. I think as long as he says something before he's two then we're okay. I don't know. How about you bring him over today and we can both attempt to get him to say something? I mean, it might not work, but maybe if we're both talking to him something will click at some point. I don't know. I'm just pegging it on our kid is shy.
I'm starting to wonder...
If Levi just can’t talk yet or can and is just quiet.
I think he should be talking by now. I read him Tennyson and Shakespeare sonnets for two months, he should definitely be talking.
Ma said I didn't start speaking till later, and look at me now. I'm sure he's perfectly fine, Char, he'll start saying stuff on his own time.
I mean, he's gotta be perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with our kid.
Let's Get This Right → Charlie & Eli
It was the end of another long New Direction’s rehearsal in preparation of the upcoming competition, and Charlie was tired. She herself wasn’t a huge contributor to the club, being a bit meek when put into the spotlight, but she loved music and she loved the people in the group. She was proud of the talent and fearlessness of the group, and she didn’t mind being the supportive background dancer. Though some were heading back home and others were heading out to catch breakfast before they hit the 10:30 mark, the Fabray herself wasn’t sure of where she wanted to go. It was Saturday morning, too early for much to be done but too late to head back to sleep without feeling unproductive and she wasn’t sure quite what to do with herself. Levi, Avery, and Wyatt were being babysat while she and Quinn rehearsed and Gabe worked, so she wasn’t much needed there.
Without thinking through things much, she decided there was only one place she wanted to go. Lately, she’d been leaving trails from three places; McKinley, The Puckerman residence, and Quinn and Gabe’s. She was still sleeping on Quinn’s pull-out sofa and Levi was sharing a room with Wyatt and Avery in the little mother-in-law guest house, but Charlie and Levi had been steadily spending more time at their former home now that Eli was back in town. It wasn’t as if they didn’t prefer the Puckermans’ house, because they did, it was only that Charlie was tentative to resume hers and Eli’s relationship as it had been. Rushing into things and moving Levi around made her hesitant, namely because neither of them were quite sure if Eli would end up staying in Lima anyways. In no time, the eighteen-year-old was parked in the driveway and withdrawing her key to enter and then tiptoe into the house, knowing the triplets may or may not have been still sleeping. A smile tugged at the ends of her lips to find him still asleep and kicked off her shoes and shed her coat and other accessories before she climbed into the bed with him. Letting her chilly fingers press against his biceps, and her lips press against his cheek, she smiled. “Wake up,” She whispered to him, expression softening as he stirred in his slumber.
The sunlight danced between the blinds, creating thin orange lines against various surfaces in the room. However, not a single ray of light managed to reach the face of the still fast asleep Puckerman as he laid beneath his covers, breathing softly in sweet slumber. Elijah had been exhausted for the past few days, feeling as though he were shoved into a hypothetical corners with so many life decisions looming over him. He was always a scared little boy when it came down to it, and now, more than ever, he'd been reminded of that. California was breathing down his neck, that record label desiring to sign him throwing deal after deal in Elijah's direction, wanting him to return to the sunshine and palm trees and become one of their own. He could feel California rooting him into its warm soil, making him a part of the concrete jungle there, but something was keeping him from leaping for the opportunity of a lifetime. A little boy and his mother, grasping Eli's wrists and begging him with love to not go away from them. Charlie and Levi were the center of his universe, and he would be too far off orbit if he ran away to California, even if it was to chase the dream he had had since he was a child discovering an old broken guitar in the dumpster behind Sully's Record Shop many years ago. His heart was torn, a part of him knowing chances like that didn't come twice within someone's life time, and the other part of him knowing that he couldn't abandon Charlie and Levi when they would need him most. And yes, he knew she would support his decision, and they would try and reunite when opportunity came, but their relationship was fragile, even if still mending, and Elijah didn't want to ruin any chances he'd had left with the woman he wanted to share his life with and the son who was the greatest achievement of his life. It kept him up most nights, scared for what would happen in the future, and left him sleeping in on the exhaustion of it all.
This Saturday was much like that. A long basketball practice--glad to have been back on the Varsity team despite his random week-long trip to California interfering with the season--and lots of homework followed by the hours of thinking from last night left him aching and tired, which mean he would be dead asleep well into the late morning hours. At it stayed very much that way for Elijah, though an unexpected visitor was well on her way to interrupt that. Sleeping soundly in bed, he hadn't heard the sound of the door opening and closing, the rustle of clothes and accessories as Charlie shed her coat and bothersome jewelry, or even the sound of her walking over to his bed. He had, however, noticed the creak of the bed frame and the mattress sink just a bit beneath him, as though someone was joining him. On first instinct, he pictured Sarah, that little brat, in his head, climbing into bed much like she used to with him on Saturdays to pinch his nose until he woke with a start and demand he be her chauffeur. That was something that rarely occurred since the pregnancy thing had started, though, so he wasn't sure why Sarah would intrude on her brother's sleep. He was surprised to feel slender and ice cold fingers against the heated skin of his biceps, and the softest of lips pressing into the scratchy surface of his cheek. He hadn't really bothered to shave or really groom much of his facial hair lately, his mohawk was slowly getting lost in the growth of hair on his head actually, which made him look less like a Puckerman and more like an older scruffy man. He viewed that as bad, but he was too exhausted to even care. Blinking as he heard the voice, one he immediately recognized as his love's, Elijah stirred just a bit before slowly opening his eyes. His blurry vision soon subsided to reveal the blonde laying in the bed beside him. A tired but all too happy grin took over his mouth as he closed his eyes momentarily, her comforting scent and the feel of her body so close filling his senses. "Mornin'," he croaked in that morning voice, clearing his throat in an attempt to get rid of it. Turning over so his arm wrapped around her slim waist, he pulled her close into an embrace, a sloppy but loving kiss being placed on her cheek, the wet kind that girls just hated but boys gave anyway. You know, because it was cute to see your girlfriend's nose scrunch up in disgust as she wiped it away. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this unexpected visit?" he asked, eyebrows raised though his eyes stayed closed, nuzzling into her neck as he relaxed into her.
I'm kind of in a good mood
The baby is doing fine, it’s a girl and we’re naming her Spencer. We’re very excited for her to arrive. Busy… so I have heard.
Spencer Evans? Cute. I'm happy for you guys. I'm sure you are. Yeah. I've had some big decisions I've needed to really think about and I pushed them off long enough, so I've been really busy dealing with that stuff. I just hope I made the right decision..
All of those suggestions sound great.
Especially the massage.
Well then let's get together and we'll go over Trig and then I'll give you a massage. And do anything you want to make sure you have a relaxing evening. Sound good?
I'm kind of in a good mood
I’m alright. What’s up, bro?
Not much, dude. Had a lot on my mind the past few days, but I'm feeling a lot better now.
I'm kind of in a good mood

Yeah? How's the baby doing? I've been... Busy. Very busy.
I'm kind of in a good mood

Charlie: That sounds the perfect and relaxing end to the week I've had. And I think I would love to stay the night and I know Levi would.
Eli: Perfect! So... See you both tomorrow night?
Charlie: Yes, you will.
Eli: Great. I love you.

Eli: How about a little family night? Even if it means cuddling and watching baby shows. Just the three of us. If Levi gets tired, he could even stay the night with me. You could, too. If it gets late and you're too tired to drive back or something...

Eli: What are you and Levi doing tomorrow night?
Charlie: Homework for me and Baby Einstein for Levi. I assume sleep will also be part of the plan unless you had something else in mind.

Eli: What are you and Levi doing tomorrow night?
Been home for just a couple days,
But snow is so pretty.
But sunshine is so warm.
