“A simple healing spell to help with the scratch.” She shrugged, “Well, no, but I wasn’t long ago - uh, well I was tortured, and one of them was actually a vampire, so I’ve been researching on, well, what to do if I ever face another attacker, especially if they’re supernatural.” Cara mumbled quietly, chewing on her bottom lip, “Can I ask why your boggart is a werewolf?”

“oh...” he said, taking a look at it once again. It was somewhat deep, but it had managed to stop bleeding, which he was happy about. He paid close attention to her words, surprised by the way she spoke about it so calmly. “A vampire?” He wondered, not having been aware that there were vampires around, and shook his head. “Guess I’ll never stop being so confused and by all of theses creatures...” He mumbled, mostly to himself. “I uh- a friend of mine was a werewolf and...” He stopped, not sure if he was capable of continuing.

Kaya bit her lower lip before deciding to sit down next to him. “We don’t know each other, but I’ve heard that when you feel bad it is better to talk to stranger about it.”

He glanced at the girl and sighed as he was not expecting it. “I’m just still trying to process what happened back there.” He said, pointing over at the woods.

“I wasn’t going to say that. I wouldn’t exactly say being confronted by your biggest fear doesn’t matter.” Fiona pushed her hands into her pockets, “do you want to talk about it?”

Elijah remained quiet for a while, trying to process everything that had happened. “...I was so ready to get rid of it until it attacked me and then I just froze because I saw... I saw someone... I just relieved a bad memory. One that has turned into a irrevocable fear.”

Cara let out a soft sigh, pulling out her wand. “I know a spell that will help, if you trust me?” She offered, smiling weakly at the boy. “Then you would have had to deal, besides, I was only around the corner, and if it had been real, I would have gotten there in time for anything too bad happened.”

“What spell?” He asked, finally looking up to see who the girl was. “Have you actually faced a vicious werewolf before? I’m sure we both would have been done for.” He sighed. “I don’t know, maybe I’m just exaggerating and I should just get over this.”

“Trust me, I’m not about to say anything of the sort. It’s not easy facing those things. I just wanted to make sure you were okay, you seemed pretty shaken.” Cara chewed on her bottom lip, “But if you want me to leave, I can.”

“I still am,” he said, barely looking up. “I just don’t know how to deal with this stuff. I know the spell but that thing was faster...” He raised his hand to show a scratch mark. “It’s nothing, but what if it had been real?”

He nodded absentmindedly. “Yeah... I think.”

“Did it get you too?” He asked, glancing up at her.

“I’ve always heard that England is the most haunted place in Europe, so yeah I think you could find something around here. I don’t think they’re that exciting though.”

Her smile never seemed to leave her face as she talked with him, sliding back on her bed to rest comfortably against the wall. “I like to see both as well, Depending on my mood, I draw what I feel,” she nodded, understanding his words easily. “I never met someone the same way.. It always seems easier to let your talent speak for you, even if others don’t understand it,” she gripped her sketchbook tightly before letting out a laugh, “Well, if you are, there’s the door,” she teased. 

Elijah continued to awkwardly remained where he was, turning slightly to see her better. “So you’re a mood artist?” He joked, still smiling. “Actually I don’t even think that’s a ting but yeah, it really is much easier.” He laughed along with her as he walked over to the door. “Fine.” He joked, “...Just kidding, but maybe it would be best for me to go? I don’t want to overstay my welcome.” He said with a slight shrug as he placed his hands in his pockets.

“Why would you even go near a chimpanzee in a fit of passion in the first place? That would be quite an interesting site to see..”

“I don’t know, I could  encounter one at a zoo or maybe a safari. Knowing my luck it would most likely go after me.”

Headcanon - Ghosts

During the ride on the Hogwarts Express for his first year at Hogwarts, Elijah heard some kids talk about the ghosts that roamed the halls and caused havoc from time to time. He did not believe it at first, but when other kids kept commenting about the four main ghosts that were assigned to each of the houses, his heart leaped and his nervousness disappeared. What if he could finally meet his mom? The thought made him impatient and eager to arrive. 

His first couple weeks were almost a complete disaster but nothing kept him going than the possibility of maybe finding her mom somewhere floating gracefully through the walls, waiting for him in some peaceful corner of the huge castle. It was already hard for him having to grasp what it meant to be a muggle born and what it meant to be a young wizard, but nothing disappointed him more than not finding her there, or anywhere in the wizarding world.

“Oh, please,” she made a face, shaking her head at him before breaking out into another grin. “Isn’t it great to be surrounded by people like you? Makes the world feel less lonely, which is what I like to draw about,” she smiled a little. “Sentimental people are my favorite. I can’t stand jerks.”

He laughed once again, something that was now becoming so easy with her company. “It is yeah, but I try not to focus on the loneliness, if you do you never learn to live with yourself. I guess I like to see both sides of everything, but I always fail to put them into words so I draw them.” He said, stretching his arms a little. “Really? Well, I can assure you I’m not a jerk... or am I, dun dun dun.”
