Poison is Los Angeles artist Elijah Noll’s first single of the year, an infectious alt pop song with massive hooks and bold clattering drums. Its play on shadow and light, as well as its expressive crooning evokes a bit of Yoke Lore, with more moody resolute flare and a meager injection of Opia or Two Feet’s burning riffs. The multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter explains: “Everything comes and goes in waves. If you’re going through some shit right now or feeling like you don’t have control, remember, this too shall pass. Love you.That look in her eyes drove me mad.
