my take on langdon x abbot:

- both are haunted by the big brown eyes curse™ (obviously) but this shit becomes an absurd. langdon is obsessed with robby for both reasons (unrequited love and friendship issues), so he's nosy as fck and tries to know better michael's closest circle, so jack found himself in a dangerous situation 👹

- also frank is curious freak so he haven't experienced abbot's softness (yet) but somehow feels that this man is one of a kind (same as robby and it drives him crazy). he figures out that jack is actually a nice guy with golden heart and lack of toxic masculinity and it brings him at a whole another level (of freackness, of course).

- i see him as overprotective (especially cause he's a boys' dad now), so he does deep (really deep) research about amputee and ptsd problems just to watch jack, standing in the dark corner, and be useful if something bad happens
