For the summer, I'm working with Fishers Island Club. As my administration and organization is based around tennis activities the club runs, they wanted a solid bio to show the members to know they have capable staff organizing their days of fun involving tournaments, games, and a few private lessons.
I’ve met some amazing people and I aim to create new and exciting opportunities for myself!
Below is they copy of my biography they used for the newsletter
At the age of three, my father first took me to play tennis at our local court. My passion for the game only grew from my first experience. I would do tennis camps and enjoyed winning the local tournament they held, thus igniting my more serious mindset for developing a career in the sport. I moved to Italy briefly to learn the language and play tennis on clay; here I made the conscious decision to play competitively at age 12.
I won my first real tournament at age 14 and became ranked 12 in my state (20 in my age for Australia). At 16, I was ranked 200th among all players in Australia. From here, I would focus more on completing my studies and do well in school. I trained each summer break in Argentina from 16-19yrs and developed my claycourt game. After a cumulative 2.5yrs, and some fluent Spanish skills later, I returned to serious competition back home. I started strong, winning the Special Men's national tournament in Bathurst, NSW, then making consistent QF and SF rounds in Open National Tournaments across the country.
Despite my good ranking and play, I quit tennis to focus on a career. I completed my Junior Development Coaching certificate at Sydney Olympic Park and became a certified coach at 20. Focusing on coaching for 2 years straight provided me with financial freedom and taught me valuable communication and business skills necessary for success in life.
I somehow ended up playing college tennis after going back to Argentina to find my game at 21 and played for a top DII school where I would go on to reignite my passion for the game. After 2 tries and 2 runners-up trophies later, we won the national championship. Achieving the pinnacle of my chosen craft was an amazing feeling and I honestly don’t know if I will ever enjoy a moment as special or emotional as that day with my best friends.
Tennis has taken me across the world and allowed me to meet amazing people... even hit with a grand-slam champion! Whatever the journey holds next, I’m certainly looking forward to it!
