Of course it had to be dreary and drizzling as she stood waiting for the werewolf boy. It was quite fitting for the mood, like she was some spider waiting for unsuspecting prey to enter her trap. Although the blonde had no intention on this being a trap, she did intend on it being an ambush of sorts. She needed him by himself, alone. Without his roommateâs prying ears. Just the thought of telling another person her deepest secret made her nauseous, even if it was an ailment they shared. She couldnât risk the Black boy finding out.Â
With a flash of lighting over head, Elise tugged the hood of her cloak down further to keep her face concealed. Come on, she growled to herself. You canât stay hidden forever. You must leave sometime. And then, just when it seemed as if the lone wolf would never leave, the door opened casting a light out that illuminated the puddles on the street. Her heart began to race as the boy stepped out into the rain. Elise hadnât thought too much of the possibilities of being shut out, what all could go wrong in practically cornering someone and laying her predicament at their feet. She was desperate, and this was her only real option. Slowly, the blonde followed him waiting until it was just the two of them before taking off her hood and calling out. âLupin? Remus Lupin?â
Rainy days were always his favourite. It was a good excuse for him to stay curled up on the couch all day watching the telly. Not that he didnât already do that almost daily, but at least he felt a little less bad about it when it was raining. Although he couldnât sit around all day, Sirius was out with Emma, but heâd left a note and some galleons asking Remus to go out and pick up a few things for the house. He couldnât refuse, considering he didnât have a steady income to pay his share of the rent, or for anything in the house, he didnât have any right to say no when Sirius asked him to do something. But it was raining, it was a lazy day, and Remus found he really didnât have the motivation to do anything.
The sky was getting darker as the evening rolled around, Sirius would likely be getting back home soon and he knew he couldnât put off his task any longer. So, with a huff, Remus finally pried himself off the couch and swiped the money from the counter, pulling his coziest jumper over his head before he took off towards the shop. He could have apparated, but it was only a short walk away and he liked the exercise, even if it was raining. Turning the corner, he had only taken a few steps before somebody called his name and he stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around to see who was trying to catch his attention.
âWhoâs asking?â Remus called, his hand inching towards the pocket his wand was in. He didnât recognize the voice, but it was definitely female. Hopefully an old classmate or something, he certainly wasnât in the mood to duel in the middle of the street.
Well now what? Perhaps she hadnât thought this all the way through, and it killed her to admit that. Noting how he reached towards his pocket, Elise herself wrapped her hand around her want that was concealed in the sleeve of her cloak. The action made her stomach drop. If he did say no, she wasnât about to Imperio him to force him. But after spilling her dark secret she would have to do something if he refused. The blonde took a few steps closer to him, weary of where his hand hovered. âI need your helpâ, she confessed, the words bitter. âYou are Remus Lupin, yes?â
