Master Journal Assignment
This post month, I had had the experience to create an adaption script for a short story by Mark Twin called, “The Celebrated Jumping Frog in Calaveras County.” The story was very interesting and confusing at first because in the original story the narrative did not have a name. It made it hard for me to know who the main character was, and what was going on in the story. I decided to search online for different summaries to get a better understanding of the story. I wanted be able to adapt script. I learned that the characteristics of the original story was based in the late 80s early 90s and when you read the story it has a very older styling read based off the writer. The characteristics in the adaption gave a more modern feeling, but an essence of the originals style. The adaption characters gave a reflection the original characters ways by adding a little name and the same characters flaws and success. In the adaption I created a more visual and humor that gives the audience a better understating of the short story. The promotion of a trailer gives the script a bigger and better audience because they can actual see the visual of the story. This mesh with my goal as a writer by me opening up to different genres and a set of creativeness. It helps me strength into creating a new story line but sticking to the essence of the original that does not stray away from the main idea. This writing is different from what I write because I am more of a narrative writer and to step out of my way of writing is a little challenging but also awarding. I would love to adapt the story, “The Cask of Amontillado,” by Edgar Allan Poe.
This is an example of a ad game for people to play and catch the flies by teaching the frog to eat many flies.

According to Grade Leaders, “Marriott International built up a gamed called My Marriott Hotel to enlist recent college grads. It empowers possibility to run their own virtual lodging eatery and different tasks. Players plan their own eatery, buy stock on a financial plan, train workers and serve visitors. They're granted focuses for fulfilled clients and they lose focuses for poor client benefit. This fills in as an energetic method to screen potential new contracts.”

According to Josh Gertz, Business Development Executive, “Kroger has gamified the shopping experience. They offer $.10 off gas for every $100 spent to rewards members which can get fun once you’ve accumulated a few hundred dollars in spending. It’s not hard to rack up at least $100 on groceries, so this really adds up.”

McDonalds Monopoly is used for all consumers to win all types of prizes. Each win could either be a free meal or cash prizes. This gamification keeps the customers buying more and McDonalds making more profit.

Mastery Journal Assignment" for EWS
This month I was challenged to create a webisode. Now I say challenge because you have to think creatively and truly think outside and inside the box for a webisode. Given this assignment has really opened my writing creativity to a more enhance journey. I start to see things from the writer’s point of view. I truly love and had fun creating a webisode script for the first time. It inspires to continue to make more webisode scripts in the future. My title for the webisode is The Fairytale Life, this is a great name because it gives a more in-depth to my characters as the journey into adult life by saving people and themselves. I love everything about this script because I truly enjoy fairytale movies that are done creatively. This web series mesh with by writing by myself creating the script and enjoy writing it at the same time. My goal is to be a writer/creator and doing this is everything that I set to accomplish for my mastery. This month is different because instead of writing with mostly dialogue. Creating a 6-minute 3-act structure for a webisode really set the tone for deep thinking and creative fun. Writing a 3-act script can either be challenge yet rewarding or fun yet exhausting. It’s all for me because when you create the first episode it has to have a continuous and a next season that push the webisode stories further. I love the fact that I will have the opportunity to create and write my own webisodes or TV show for others to see. I can picture myself doing this for a living. I would plan my reality by first creating the scripts, using the people around me to video shot and learning how to edit. I plan to connect with other writers, directors, local film festival and etc., to accomplish my reality for my webisode. This month was very rewarding for my mastery journal.
