Aemond never expected himself to be so taken by a woman after only one meeting, let alone a lowborn wetnurse. But you looked at him, with that gentle smile and those soft eyes, something hidden behind them that he so desperately wanted to discover, and greeted him in that sweet voice of yours. He never had a chance against you. He gravitates toward you, finding himself in the royal nursery more often than not, engaging you in conversation as you care for little Maelor. And you never dismiss him. He just stands there in the corner, admiring you as you care for his nephew. He learns that you have a child of your own, a little boy named Robin who you love more than life itself. He knows you must be a wonderful mother and that boy is very lucky to have you. He learns that your husband abandoned you and your babe while you were still with child, leaving the two of you destitute.
It was a miracle that Helaena happened upon you shortly after you gave birth when she had gone into town to visit the apothecary. She immediately took you on as a wetnurse for her own babe, fixing you up with your own quarters in the servant’s wing, cradle included for your little one. Aemond adores how kind you are to Helaena, always treating her with respect and care, always being kind to her twins. You are the epitome of grace, he thinks, the Mother in human form. A goddess among women.
He finds you in the nursery this fine morning, holding little Maelor to your chest, rocking him back and forth as he wails. You coo to him in a gentle voice, trying to calm him.
“Shh, little prince. It’s alright.”
Aemond leans against the wall, staring at you intently, his eye trailing over the swell of your breasts, the curve of your hips. He knows he should not desire you as he does. He will be sent off to marry some noblewoman of his grandfather’s choosing while you will remain in service to his sister. But gods, you are the only woman he has ever felt this way for. He watches as you place the babe in his cradle, pressing a soft kiss to his brow as he finally calms. And all he can imagine at that moment is your lips on his own as he makes you cry out his name in the bedchamber.
He stands up straight when you turn to him and smile, “Your Grace, what a pleasant surprise. Did you wish to hold your nephew?”
Aemond continues to stare at you, approaching slowly as he murmurs, “Perhaps I could hold you instead.”
You smile at him, shaking your head, “As always, you are very funny, my prince. I always enjoy our chats when you come to see the little one.”
He takes another step closer, running his fingers along your arm, fire in his eye as he replies, “You know, my lady, I find myself wanting more than a chat.”
As if on cue, Maelor once again begins to fuss and Aemond holds back his groan of disappointment as you chide him playfully, picking the babe up, “And you shall remain wanting, Your Grace. My loyalties are to this little one.”
He moves to rest his hand on Maelor’s head, smiling slightly as he stands by your side. It’s strange, he thinks, when he stands like this, he can almost pretend that the two of you are looking upon your own little babe. And his thoughts once again return to how beautiful you would look, laying upon his bed, your face twisted in ecstasy as he fills you with seed, your belly swelling with his child.
“He’s been fussing,” you comment, rocking the baby, “It is as if he can tell that King Aegon is hurt. The poor little angel.”
Aemond extends his arms, wishing to lessen your burden if only for a moment, and you carefully shift his nephew to him, your eyes locked on each other’s. Aemond feels awful for thinking it, but he wishes the babe would stop its wailing so he could just have a conversation with you. And yet, the wailing increases when he is in Aemond’s arms. He sheepishly hands the child back to you, watching as you giggle.
“I am sorry, my prince. Sometimes, a woman’s touch is the only remedy, it would seem.”
“You are not wrong,” Aemond says quietly before smirking, taking another step closer to you, “I think that your touch could very easily cure all my ailments.”
You roll your eyes at him, smiling, “You, my prince, are incorrigible. Now, it is time for me to nurse your nephew, so I must ask you to give the two of us some privacy.”
His hand moves to rest on your waist, squeezing gently as he leans in to whisper in your ear, lips ghosting along your skin, “Surely you can find a way to nurse him with me here. I assure you, I won’t be a bother.”
You look up at him, biting back a smile, “Oh, alright. But if your lady mother hears of this, it’ll be my head on the executioner’s block.”
Aemond chuckles, the heat in him rising to unprecedented levels. He can tell that you want this, that you want him as badly as he wants you.
“Perhaps she never has to know?”
“Perhaps you ought to let me do what it is your sister pays me for,” you tease, picking Maelor up once again and moving to sit in the rocking chair beside his cradle.
He watches, his breath catching in his throat as you unlace the bodice of your dress, freeing one of your full, round breasts. Aemond feels his cock twitch against his breeches as he stares at you, watching as you dote on his nephew. The babe suckles at you as you continue murmuring to him gently, smiling down at the little prince. There is something about watching you in this state that drives him mad. The way your eyes shine with adoration as you look down at Maelor, the way your body moves as you care for him. The desire he feels for you is unlike any he has ever felt before. And he finds himself envious of Maelor’s position, wanting nothing more than to be the one in your arms, held by you as he takes his fill.
Maelor soon falls asleep and you lay him back in his cradle, kissing his forehead. You turn to face Aemond, slowly redoing the laces of your bodice, taking your time, allowing him to admire you as you do so. You’re teasing him, he realizes, putting on a show just for him. The thought excites him more than he cares to admit. You give him a half-hearted little apology, your fingers ghosting over your nipples as he watches lustfully, taking a small step toward you. You are beautiful. Stunning. Perfect. Everything he has ever wanted.
“No apologies necessary, my lady,” he says quietly, “The view from here is… Quite breathtaking.”
You give him that smile, demure and yet so very coy, “Thank you. The other nurse will be coming to relieve me soon. I bid you goodnight, Your Grace.”
Before he even realizes what he’s doing, he gently grabs you by the hand, “I… I do not wish for you to go.”
“And yet I have my own babe to care for,” you say softly, “I apologize, my prince.”
“And who cares for you, sweet lady?” Aemond asks, moving his hand to your face, his thumb stroking your cheekbone, “Your husband, the wretched fool, is not here to tend to your needs. No one should abandon their wife so easily, especially not a beautiful and kind woman like you.”
“So my abandonment would have been acceptable if I were ugly?”
Aemond rolls his eye at your teasing, entirely charmed by you, “Your heart is as beautiful as your face and your body. So no, it would not have been acceptable.”
“You are kind to say so, Your Grace.” Aemond watches as you begin to walk away, his gaze fixed on you and you alone.
The prince suddenly blurts out, “Do you long for me? As I long for you?”
You do not turn back, only replying quietly, “You’re a prince. I cannot long for you. Goodnight, Your Grace.”
Aemond tosses and turns in his bed that night, consumed by thoughts of you. And finally, he realizes he can no longer bear it, crossing the Keep, all the way to the servant’s wing, knocking on the door to your quarters. And when you open your door, you wear a thin nightshift, one that hides very little from his greedy gaze. And yet, you do not seem shy of the fact. You look up at him curiously.
“Is something the matter with Prince Maelor, Your Grace?”
Gods, he loves how much you care for his nephew. He shakes his head, his gaze traveling from the crown of your head to your bare feet, taking in every part of you. He steps inside, closing the door behind him, just content to stand there and admire you for a long moment before he finally speaks.
“No, nothing is wrong. I… I simply wished to see you.”
You are silent for a moment before gesturing to the cradle beside your bed, “This is Robin. My little boy.”
Aemond walks over to stand beside you, gazing down at the innocent-looking little babe as he sleeps peacefully. He cannot help but smile seeing so much of you in this tiny little creature, a soft spot forming in his heart for the boy. He looks at you.
“Surely you have enough love in your heart to care for both of us?”
You laugh softly, the sound making him shiver with want, “You jest too much at my expense, Your Grace. It is quite cruel of you.”
He shakes his head, cupping your face in his hands, his tone serious as he leans in close, “I do not jest. I want you. I have since the moment I saw you. I have thought about you endlessly. My thoughts, my dreams, all consumed by you. And I know you want me too, my lady. Do not deny me. Do not deny the way I yearn for you.”
“You are a prince,” you try to reason, resting your hands over his, “And I am merely a servant. It is impossible.”
Aemond doesn’t care for your reasoning. The only thing on his mind is how much he needs you. His lips come crashing down against yours, one of his hands cradling the back of your head as his tongue explores your mouth, moving against your own. His free hand moves up to your breast, squeezing gently, loving the way you moan against him at his touch.
“We shouldn’t,” you say between kisses as the two of you move toward your bed, “I could lose everything-”
“I would never allow that,” he vows, lips moving to your neck as he rolls his hips against yours, his length hard against your thigh as he continues groping at your breast, “You will never want for anything. Everything you will ever want will be yours. I will treat you like the queen, the goddess that you are.”
“You cannot make me yours, I am not some highborn lady-”
Aemond cuts you off with a laugh, smiling down at you, his forehead resting against yours, “I do not care about that. I care about you. Your laugh. Your smile. Your heart. You needn’t be anything other than what you are.”
You relax into his kiss, the two of you falling onto your bed, him on top of you, your lips never once parting. Your hands thread in his long silvery locks, tugging ever so slightly, enough to make him let out a low groan as he pulls you flush up against him.
“You seemed quite fascinated when I was nursing your nephew earlier,” you tease.
Aemond smirks, hands sliding up under the fabric of your shift, palming at your tits, rolling the soft flesh in his hands, “I will admit to it without shame.”
His lips are hot against yours, wanting, his breath heavy as the two of you continue kissing. Soon enough, he helps you out of your shift, admiring your bare body, your heaving chest, the stretch marks that run along your stomach, the patch of curls above where he wants to touch you the most, the soft flesh of your thighs… You are everything he imagined and more. And then? You ask him the question he has been dying to hear.
“Do you wish to nurse from me, sweet prince? I do not mind.”
He cannot help but moan, your touch on his face like fire to his skin. He closes his eye as you remove the eyepatch that covers his sapphire. He is still clothed, and yet he feels more vulnerable and naked than ever. But you just trace your fingers along his scar, pressing your lips to his brow as you whisper two words.
“Beautiful boy.”
Your words are music to his ears. He opens his eye and gazes up at you as you draw him to your chest. His breath hitches, lips ghosting across your skin before he takes one of your breasts in his mouth. Aemond’s lips wrap around your pert bud, suckling at you, his gaze locked on yours. The moment is so intimate it almost makes his heart ache, your milk spilling onto his tongue as you gaze at him fondly, your hand running through his hair.
You moan softly, the sound spurring Aemond on as you coo, “There you are, sweet boy, take your fill.”
It is as if he has died and ascended to the Seven Heavens themselves. Your taste, your gaze, your touch. He craves you like he needs air in his lungs. He moves to your other breast, loving the way you tremble against his lips, how sweet you taste, taking his fill of you as you asked. When he finally moves his lips away from you, you pull him toward you in a soft kiss, slow and sensual as his tongue moves against yours. You tug at his tunic, and Aemond does not hesitate to remove it, sliding his breeches off as well, leaving the two of you completely bare before each other.
“Can I taste you?”
You give him an amused smile, “Is that not what you just did?”
Aemond lets out an exasperated sigh, nudging your thighs apart as he stares at you pleadingly, “Please?”
You nod, your head falling back against your pillow as he begins lapping at your folds. Aemond grasps at your thighs, squeezing your soft flesh, moaning against your skin. He cannot get enough of you. Your taste is like ambrosia on his tongue, and all he wants is to keep his face buried between your thighs. He feels your body tremble as his nose brushes against your pearl, and so he repeats the action, grinning to himself at the wanton cry of his name you let out. Your hand threads in his hair as you grind your hips against his face, and Aemond is happy to give you exactly what it is you want. He continues fucking you with his tongue, moving to wrap his lips around your swollen bud, fingers teasing your folds over and over and over until you reach your peak.
He pulls back and gazes up at you, the evidence of your arousal on his lips as he presses them to your own. He is taken somewhat by surprise when you move to flip the two of you over, climbing atop him and straddling his waist. He grins up at you, letting out a groan of pleasure as you sink down on him, your cunt feeling so hot and wet and perfect around him. Aemond feels you squeeze around him slightly, the sensation almost being enough to make him spill himself right then and there, but he holds back.
“I want to make you mine,” he whispers as your hand wraps around his throat, moaning as you squeeze gently, continuing to roll your hips against his, “To raise Robin with you. To have a family with you. Do you feel the same as I do?”
“I do, my sweet prince,” you murmur softly, your breasts bouncing in time with your hips, his hands moving to cup them, squeezing them gently, “I do.”
“My goddess,” he rasps as you rest your forehead against his, sinking down onto his cock over and over, the sound of your skin slapping against his filling the air along with his moans and your own. Your hand on his throat feels nothing short of divine, the pressure bringing him closer and closer to his peak, “Marry me. My queen. My goddess. Let me fill you with my seed. Let me watch you grow round with my child. Let me love you for the rest of my days.”
“Then spill yourself in me, my prince,” you whisper in his ear, “Lay the foundation for our future together. Let yourself go, my sweet boy.”
And he does. With a low moan, his hands moving to grip your hips, he spills himself inside you, feeling your body tighten around him and relax moments later, making him realize you have reached your peak.
You lay down in his arms, pressing your lips to his jaw, and Aemond knows that you are the woman he wishes to spend the rest of his life with. He watches as you get up to check on Robin, moving to stand behind you, chin resting on your shoulder as he smiles at the sleeping babe.
He will never allow anything to keep the two of you apart. Not his grandfather, not his mother.

“Y/N,” James says, peering at you oddly. “What’s that on your shoulder?”
You look down, glimpsing the agitated purple spot before tugging your shirt back into place, covering it.
“Oh.” You wave him off, casual as you can. “It’s nothing.”
Remus makes a self-satisfied harrumphing sound, arm tightening around your middle to draw you even closer against his side. James' eyes pinch just slightly behind his glasses, and almost quicker than you can blink, Sirius is moving, brushing away your hair and pulling your shirt aside, revealing the mark. Well, actually, more than one mark.
“Fucking hell, Moons,” he guffaws, and James leans closer, gawping at your shoulder. “You’ve branded the poor thing!”
Remus swats Sirius’ hands away from you, tugging you into his lap and away from his curious friends.
“She’s fine,” he says, kissing the side of your head lightly.
“Y/N,” James stage-whispers. “If you need help, blink twice.”
You roll your eyes, relaxing back against Remus.
“Shit, how many was that?” Sirius asks, leaning closer. “It was too quick to tell.”
“Fuck off,” Remus says, though there’s a slight edge to his teasing. You turn your face into his, kissing placatingly at his jaw. “You want them to fuck off, don’t you darling?”
“I wouldn’t use those words,” you say mildly, and Sirius scoffs as Remus starts marking you up again, right then and there, his face buried in your neck. “Rem.” Your voice takes on a note of warning. “Not sure we should give your friends any more ammo, honey.”
“They’ll be fine,” Remus says, even as Sirius makes a half-choked sound and James averts his eyes. “They wanted to know what it was so badly, now we can show them.”

“Oh Merlin, here they go again!”
“For fuck’s sake, Prongs.”
“Somebody hex my eyes!”
“Gladly.”
The bespectacled boy let out a small shriek when he felt a sharp pinch on his ear, squirming in his seat as he turned to glare at the culprit only to find his mother standing behind him, a knowing look on her face that quickly shut him up.
“Stop being dramatic, James, and let your sister be happy,” Euphemia Potter told her eldest child, though it hadn’t been the first time she had said as much and it wouldn’t be the last either. It had been a common occurrence that she would find herself scolding her eldest child over his childish behaviour.
You and James had always been close, both growing up and in the present time. Despite the age difference—though it was not much at all—your brother had always stood by your side and you likewise. When you joined him at Hogwarts, that relationship didn’t change when your friends became his friends, and his friends became your own too.
However, James Potter wasn’t expecting that it would lead to this.
It had been over four months since you announced your relationship with Sirius Black to your brother and he had yet to get over what he called ‘the biggest betrayal of the century’.
“It’s off-putting,” James said with a heavy sigh, slumping back in his seat as he pushed his food around his plate with his fork. “I’m losing my appetite, mother.”
Euphemia gave him a blank look. “You’ll survive.”
“We aren’t even doing anything,” you pointed out to your brother but he just scoffed in response.
“He’s sitting next to you!”
You raised your brows. “And?”
“He used to sit next to me! You’ve taken my spot!” James exclaimed.
“Well, technically I just switched seats,” Sirius piped up, always one to wind his best friend up as he threw his arm over the back of your chair. “So, she hasn’t taken your spot, I just changed mine.”
James narrowed his eyes. “There was a time where we were on the same side.”
“You’ll always be my number two, Potter,” Sirius assured him, whilst you rolled your eyes as your brother did moments ago since you knew exactly where this was going.
“And who’s number one?” James asked with a huff.
“My darling Euphemia, of course,” Sirius said with a massive grin on his face. “My number one Potter always and forever.”
“Hm, you just want an extra cookie,” Euphemia commented, though she seemed amused nonetheless.
Sirius leaned his head back to look at her. “Did it work?”
“We’ll see,” Euphemia smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of his head before she left the room.
James let out a scoff. “And now you’re stealing my bonus cookies too—”
“I’ll half it with you,” Sirius offered.
James paused for a moment before he grinned. “I knew you were still my best friend.”
Your gaze shifted to your boyfriend as you felt a hand lay on the top of your thigh, turning to raise your eyebrows at him as he just flashed you an innocent look.
“What?” you asked suspiciously.
“You know you’re my real number one, right?” he asked in a low voice, his head tilting down a little so his head was closer to you. “No one could replace you, doll.”
“First my mother, then my brother,” you mused, biting back your smile. “You trying to sweet me too, Black?”
“There’s a lot of things I want to do to you,” he murmured, a dark look in his eyes that sent a wave of desire and anticipation through you as his hand squeezed the fat of your thigh.
“Like what?” you asked, your voice a little breathier than you expected.
hi cece! how have you been? could you write something with Sirius being super shy with reader? I think it would be really fun and cute to see him getting all shy and flustered for once since he usually is so extroverted and flirty! I’m just melting thinking about saying “such a pretty boy” to him and he going mute and his cheeks going all pink and adorable!
hiya baby! i am good, thank you! this was so cute, thank you for requesting!🖤

Lily Evans had truly never been more baffled than she was by the sight in front of her.
She had known Sirius Black since they had first stepped foot into Hogwarts. She had seen him over the years, gotten to know him in the more recent ones and never once—not a single time in those years—had she ever quite seen him like this.
“How are you not shocked by this?” she hissed through clenched teeth to her boyfriend.
James lifted his head, catching what the redhead was looking at before he snorted and shrugged. “Because it’s nothing new.”
Her head spun to him. “What?”
“Sirius is always like that with her,” James told her with a laugh. “Always has been, probably always will be. His brain just stops working around her or something.”
“How come he doesn’t ask her out?” Lily asked, watching the two of you from across the room where you were huddled over the cauldron you were sharing for this potions class.
At that, James only laughed harder. “Have you seen him, Evans? He doesn’t even know his own name around her!”
And it was true. So unfortunately and pathetically true but Sirius couldn’t seem to actually remember how to talk to people whenever you were in a close vicinity to him, let alone his own goddamn name. The first time you had asked him, it took Remus holding back his own laughs to introduce him to you. It was an embarrassing moment that lived on a loop in his head.
“Can you pass me that?” you asked, your eyes focused on your potions textbook whilst his eyes were focused on you.
He blinked. “Huh?”
“The root,” you waved aimlessly in the direction of a selection of plants you had laid out earlier before you began brewing when he was ogling you. “It’s for the next step.”
“Right,” Sirius said and cleared his throat as he looked over the plants, eyebrows furrowed together as he tried to remember just which plant root you needed for the potion but he came up blank.
You lifted your head when you noticed the boy had fallen unreasonably quiet—more so than he usually was with you, despite what others insisted—and smiled a little at his confused expression. “Need some help?”
Sirius’ head snapped around, his face heating up as he flashed you a sheepish smile. “Yeah, I have no idea which one we need.”
“You’re lucky you have a pretty face, Black,” you teased as you reached across him, your arm brushing against his chest as you grabbed what you needed and plopped it into the cauldron.
“I, you…uh, you think I’m pretty?” Sirius spluttered out, his nose scrunching a little at how pathetically the question came out his mouth.
You raised your brows in amusement. “Fishing for compliments?”
Sirius’ eyes widened. “No! No, not at all! I didn’t mean it like that, I just—”
You placed your hand on his arm and the boy quickly fell silent. “Hey, calm down, I was messing with you.”
He was pretty sure his face, neck and ears were all red. “Right.”
“You do look cute when you blush though,” you commented with a grin before you turned back to the potion.
Sirius gaped at you for a moment before a massive grin broke out on his face, the giddiness staying with him long after the lesson ended and you waved him goodbye, his stomach bursting with butterflies as he eagerly awaited his next potions class with you.
everyone knows james as the "super cocky and loud guy" right?
well what about when reader (his gf/partner) is near him and he just gets all quiet and sweet with her like maybe she walks in as he's bragging or talking about (for example you don't have to use this ofc) winning a quidditch match and he doesn't notice until she's right beside him and he just stops the conversation with whoever and greets her and is just super soft
idk if this makes sense but i hope it does
this was so cute!! thank you for requesting!🖤

James Potter was a loud guy.
Loud presence. Loud voice. Loud personality.
You could hear him before you could see him. You would be able to locate him in a crowded room in seconds. You would know if he was within a mile radius of you. And he knew that, he knew that the spotlight had a tendency to find him and he loved it.
He was cocky in that way that was endearing. He wasn’t condescending or arrogant, he just acted like he was the best thing in the world because he was. He had the personality and the charms to back it all up, he wasn’t just all talk. But he was as kind as he was cocky, a balance that was hard to find but James seemed to personify perfectly.
James was undoubtedly a handful to deal with and everyone knew that. They expected him to find someone who would match his energy, who was as loud and vibrant as he was. So, it was a shock when they saw you hanging off his arm.
And it was a bigger shock when they saw how much you mellowed him down—not that you meant to at all. But it was just one of those things you had to witness to believe.
“Who’s your fucking daddy!”
The boy raised the trophy above his head, basking in the cheers and the applause as he walked into the common room with a wide grin plastered across his face. Gryffindor had just won the Quidditch House Cup and James Potter was over the fucking moon, having led his team to victory for the third year in a row as captain.
“Potter! Potter! Potter!” The crowd chanted as everyone slapped him on the back as he made his way through the crowd, standing up on the table to thrust the trophy in the air once again as the cheers washed over him and the stolen bottles of firewhiskey popped open.
He was three drinks in with adrenaline and victory pumping through his veins by the time you made it to the party. You had promised a younger student you would help them study after the match, and despite the guilt you felt, your boyfriend only kissed you on the lips and muttered how hot it was that you were so kind before making you promise you would show up after your tutoring session.
Now, here you were, pushing your way through drunk and cheery party-goers as you tried to locate your boyfriend.
“PADS, YOU’RE GETTING IT ALL WRONG!”
You could have snorted when you heard his voice booming over all the others, as well as the bass of the music blasting through the speakers you suspected Sirius had smuggled in from the Muggle World.
“I COULD SEE IT THE WHOLE BLOODY TIME! IT WAS RIGHT THERE AND—”
You flashed an apologetic smile as you pushed past a few more students before you saw him, standing in the middle of the circle of his friends and other students. His curls were unruly and his cheeks were flushed pink. His hands were moving animatedly as he loudly spoke, grinning as he recounted the events that led to Gryffindor winning.
“AND I SWOOPED DOWN—” But before James could continue his story, his eyes found yours and his smile instantly widened. Not caring about the others, he pushed his way out of the circle and made his way towards you, engulfing you in his arms. “Hey, princess.”
“Hey,” you laughed as you wound your arms around his waist, lifting your head to look up at him. “Enjoying the party?”
“It’s better now that you’re here,” he mumbled, long gone was the booming voice and boisterous laughs, and the others could have snorted at the sight. He lifted his hand to push some hair behind your ear before he cupped your cheek. “How was your tutoring session? Lil’ Jimmy give you any trouble?”
You rolled your eyes. “He was a delight as always. Told me I was practically dating a celebrity, you know.”
James grinned. “I knew I always liked that boy.”
“Oi, Potter, you gonna finish your story?”
But James just waved them off, muttering that someone else would finish the story before he led you towards a table where drinks and snacks had been set up.
“What do you wanna drink? Have you eaten today? Have you eaten enough today?” James rambled off as he grabbed a paper plate, beginning to pile a large amount of food onto said plate before you stopped him.
“I’m fine,” you laughed, shaking your head. “C’mon, let’s go celebrate your win, captain.”
“Hmm, they can wait,” he murmured as he tugged you towards him once again, this time dipping his head down to kiss you. “I think you need to properly congratulate me.”
Summary: Established relationship and angst: James still loves Lily, it's clear to you. You try to ignore the way your heart aches when you always seem to be second on his mind, knowing you will never compare to her and unsure how much more you can take.
Notes: Its happy ending again, sorry guys. I'd say no beta, we die like fred, but that feels too soon so anyway, spelling and grammar mistakes probably.

People have often told you that you need to toughen up and grow a spine. That your lack of backbone had everyone trample on you like you were a crosswalk, and you could definitely say that they were right.
Perhaps that's why you were crying in the middle of the night because of James Potter. He was laying behind you, pressed against your back with an arm draped over you. His face was hidden in the back of your neck, breathing steadily against it as he slept peacefully, unaware of the heartache he was causing you when he whispered Lily's name. Again.
When he'd done it the first time, your blood had run cold, goosebumps showing up and littering your bare arms. Tears had prickled in your eyes at his barely audible, mumbled confession. "Love you so much Lily."
You had turned around to face him and your rustling had woken him up. Eyes still closed, he'd groggily shifted and pulled you against his chest. “Everything alright, love?”
“Yeah, just a nightmare,” you had responded in a small voice. Your answer had him finally open his eyes, somewhat concerned. He had lifted his arm to yawn against it and then settled it back on top of you in such a way that his hand had easy access to your nape, drawing circles in an attempt to calm you.
“I've got you, love. Nothing can hurt you, as long as I'm here,” he had assured you.
Ironic.
So now here you were lying down, your tears were freely rolling down your face and you were glad that the curtains of the bed were closed, leaving you in a private space, despite sleeping in the boy’s dormitory. It would be another sleepless night for you, it seemed.
When James stretched his arms to reach for you about four hours later, he frowned and sat up, confused at the lack of your presence. He pushed the red drapes aside and peeked into the room. Sirius was still asleep, face down. Peter was most likely curled up inside the pile of blankets on his bed and Remus was sitting up in bed, a book in his lap.
Even though it was the weekend, and you were anything but an early bird, you slipped out of bed in the early morning. You were sure that your eyes were red and puffy and didn’t want James to mention it.
He looked up when he heard James and raised his eyebrows in question when he noticed no one else behind him. “Have you seen Y/N?” James asked, sleep still heavily laced in his voice. Remus shook his head in thought. “No,” he whispered quietly, an eye on Sirius beside him. “I’ve been up since four in the morning though.”
James’ frown deepened. That meant that you had snuck out before that. But why? He got dressed impressively fast and descended the stairs to the common room. You were sitting at the tip of your chair, deeply engrossed into your transfiguration assignment, several books piled, some laying open, scattered across the small table.
You felt two arms securely wrap around you, almost melting in their designated position. “Morning,” James kissed your cheek.
You bit your lip, took a breath, and cast your hurt feelings aside. You turned your head and flashed him a smile. “Good morning, Jamie.” James took the opportunity of your head, tilted upwards at him, and dipped down to press his lips softly against yours, pecking you once, twice. “You’re up early,” he commented and nudged you. He slipped behind you, body fully relaxing into your back now.
“Couldn’t sleep,” you replied honestly and you leaned back into him. You laughed softly when you noticed his eyes drooping. “You’re tired, Jamie. Go back to sleep.” James made a sound but didn’t move, instead slouching even more against you.
“Hm, no, I missed you this morning. I’ll stay here,” he decided and drifted off to sleep. You didn’t doubt that he loved you.
“Go on a date with me next Friday,” James asked you while he was escorting you to your herbology class. You looked up at him surprised. “A date?” you dumbly repeated, trying not to be too excited about the prospect of a date. James usually ended up having things to do that he really couldn't get out of, so you would always end up canceling your dates.
James laughed and slung his arm around your shoulders. “Exactly. You and me alone. I was thinking of a picnic by the lake, no one else around, and maybe we could snog, but I’m also down to cuddle.” Your eyes crinkled up amusedly. “Don’t you have Quidditch, Jamie,” you raised your eyebrows. “You always have Quidditch practice after class,” you pointed out.
“Not next Friday. I already checked to make sure I didn't double book anything, and I warned Pads that I'm not taking on any new pranks until next week to avoid detention.” he grinned. “Friday will be one of those rare days when I have time to have my girl all to myself the entire afternoon.” His face then turned apologetic. “I know I don’t have much time to take you out, so Friday'll be perfect and I’ll make it up to you.” You threw your arms around his neck and hummed appreciatively in it. “I’d love that.”
James wrapped his arms around you and pulled you in for a kiss. “Prongs!” Sirius shouted from a distance. “Everyone is already waiting for you for Quidditch practice, how far are you going to escort her? I mean the greenhouse is on the other side of Hogwarts, mate,” Sirius complained but he blew you a dramatic kiss that James waved away with a sour look.
“Go on,” you laughed and untangled yourself from his arms. He quickly pressed a kiss to your lips and sprinted off towards the Quidditch field.
James dropped into the seat next to you. “Long time no see, love,” he said. You snorted. “James, I saw you two hours ago.” James shrugged, and flirtily smiled. “I said what I said.”
Professor McGonagall entered the classroom and class started. You were jotting down everything she said in a neat handwriting, knowing that James would end up asking to lend your notes, of course by offering kisses in return.
You glanced beside you and were surprised to find him hunched over his notebook, scribbling away. Impressed at the thought that he was actually paying attention, you couldn’t help but peer down at his notes and saw that he was sketching a girl.
Though he wasn’t the greatest artist, you could clearly see that the girl on the paper looked nothing like you, and instead had features that were strikingly similar to Lily. When James looked up from his drawing and glanced to his right where she was sitting, her eyes focused on Professor McGonagall, you felt your heart constrict again, but still decided not to comment on it. He was free to draw whoever he felt like drawing, you reminded yourself.
Jealousy is ugly.
You were sitting in the library, helping a third year with Defense against the dark arts theory, when James barged in, earning several disturbed looks and a threatening glare from the librarian.
“James?” you called to him quietly and motioned for him. James’ eyes spotted you and he slid over to you, wringing his hands together, biting his lips and his eyes darting around.
“You’re nervous,” You remarked while you eyed him up and down. “Or you feel bad. What is it?”
James let out a deep sigh at your bluntness, though he supposed it would be better to get straight to the point. “We can’t go on a date next week, I’ve got prefect stuff, gotta patrol.” You stared at him, your disappointment was visible on your face and James looked at the ground.
“But you already had patrol this week? Isn’t it every other week?” You asked, a bummed out look on your face.
“Well, actually, Lily asked me if I could do rounds with her next week,” he admitted. “Her usual assigned partner was injured during Quidditch practice apparently.”
“Oh.” You didn’t know what to say. You were pretty sure she could ask anyone else for next week or just do the rounds herself as you’ve seen James do it alone for two weeks too when his assigned partner had gone home for a family emergency.
“Is it really vital that you have to go?” You couldn’t help but ask.
"I already said yes." James offered an apologetic smile. “I’ll make it up to you, I promise. We can go on a date the week after.” There was a pause and then, “Actually that’ll probably have to wait for the week after that.”
'Imagine having to schedule a simple date, three to four weeks in advance and even then not being guaranteed that nothing would come in between,' you sighed.
You shrugged, a sudden wave of defeat and exhaustion crashing over you. Why did you have to compete for your boyfriend in the first place? 'How tiring', you realized.
You waved him away. “It can’t be helped, I guess,” you somewhat coldly told him, and turned back to the student next to you who was awkwardly looking away. James stood next to you in silence for a moment, still looking at you. You looked up at the lack of the sound of receding footsteps and looked at him questioningly, waving your hand in a ‘what is it?’ manner.
“I can tell her no,” James said, something that looked like a pout on his face. He hated making you feel bad, despite constantly but unconsciously doing it.
“You don’t want to tell her no,” you retorted.
"I would for you.”
“Well, considering that you haven’t told her no by now and are instead here telling me that we have to rearrange our plans, I think you should just go help Lily with rounds.”
James was taken aback by your bitter tone, eyes immediately wide, alarmed that you were really affected by his decision. “Love, I-“
You waved your hand again. “No, I’m sorry,” you apologized before he could. You rubbed your eyes in an exhausted manner. Jealousy was not a good look, you reminded yourself again. “Just really looked forward to that picnic with just you and me.”
“We’ll still have that picnic another time though,” James tried to assure you, but you were no longer looking at him. He realized that the conversation was over and that you wanted to be left alone right now.
“I love you,” James tried one last time and you sighed. " I love you more.” Your words resonated even after James left, knowing that they might be more true than you wanted to admit. You cleared your throat and when you faced the girl next to you, she shot you a sympathetic look.
The last drop was during Potions class. Potions was something you were good at. Maybe not better than Severus Snape, but you did excel in it.
So, if there was one class in which you expected James to want to be your partner, it was Potions class. Perhaps it was arrogant of you to assume such a thing, because when Professor Slughorn had announced that everyone would be paired up, and asked James who he wanted to partner up with, you hadn't expected him to glance at Lily first, which resulted in Professor Slughorn pairing the two together before James could say your name, which in his defense, was what he was planning on saying.
Without sparing you a glace, he left your table to take the seat next to Lily's. Sure, it was mostly a miscommunication issue on Slughorn's part, but did James have to skip over so happily?
“Love you so much, Lily.”
The words repeated in your head when you saw him look at her so fondly and before you could stop yourself, you scribbled a message on a piece of paper, in which you asked him to meet you in the tower, before sending it his way.
You had clung onto James because you were absolutely in love with him and refused to lose him. But it really was a futile battle, you would never compare to her. His first crush, first love, first kiss if you count that one time during ‘spin the bottle’ and his first heartbreak. You’ll always be second, even if he genuinely loves you.
James snapped his head up at you from his attempted conversation with Lily when he got your note, suddenly remembering you, but you were laughing, engrossed in a conversation with a flustered Peter who had almost set the two of you on fire by adding the wrong ingredient. When you left class, you saw James and Lily still talking while calmly packing up.
James entered the tower, holding the note that you had passed him during class. He was smiling cheekily and quickly skipped over, arms ready to wrap around your waist as he leaned in for a kiss, no doubt thinking you asked him to sneak away for a snog.
“We need to talk,” you stopped him, and his grin fell from his face, a serious expression now adorning it. “Everything alright love?” he asked, an odd feeling growing inside of him at your tone. He was suddenly rather unsure if he really wanted to.
'Nothing better than to rip the band aid off', you thought.
“I want to break up.”
There was a long moment of silence while James was registering your words, repeating them in his head over and over again to see if there was any chance that he could have interpreted that incorrectly.
“What?” He eventually said out loud in disbelief. Though he wanted to step forward, reach for you and hold you tightly as if to show that he wouldn’t let you go, his body was inwilling to move.
“Why are y-, I thought we were good?” The crack in his voice didn’t go unnoticed by you. Your heart ached for him, but you were determined to stay strong and say your piece for once. To voice your thoughts and go through with tough decisions that you knew would be for the better.
“We’re not, James,” you sighed. “I know that you know that.”
James shook his head in denial. “No, I don’t know that,” he insisted. His brain was racking through all the instances where he did something wrong and - with the exception of next Friday's date - came up blank.
“But you love me,” he stated, mostly to himself, but it came out more of a question. “Of course,” you confirmed without hesitation.
James’ body finally unfroze, and he surged forward, his hands fumbled to hold your hands. “And I love you,” he stressed, panic starting to rise up. “I love you so much, I’ll take a Veritaserum potion if you want. I just, why would you-, I don’t understand the problem-,”
“I know you love me, James. The problem is that I love you so much more,” you calmly interrupted him. James’ eyes scanned your face to look for answers because none of it maded sense to him.
“I want someone who loves me as much as I love him. Someone who gives me all his love, not just a part that he managed to set apart for me too. And I want to be loved first. Not second. I don't want to be a consolation prize because your first option didn't work out.”
James’ eyes flickered in realization, but his head was still shaking in denial. “I am that someone,” he urged, trying to convince you. He shot you a pleading look. “I love you first, I swear.” He pressed a kiss to the back of your hand, and you pulled it away from his grasp.
“Not first,” you shook your head sadly. “Not when you call for Lily in your sleep, and whisper that you love her.” You watch as James’ frown deepened, mixed expressions crossing his face in surprise, confusion and even bewilderment.
Would he not even admit it?
“Not when you have us rearrange our plans for her, when you draw portraits of her during class, or when you practically jump to be her potions partner. I'm not stupid, James. I see the way you look at her.” You continued to list off the things that happened just this past week, not even bothering to mention all the things that bothered you the past months. Your eyes looked sad and tired, and you took another deep breath. “So, I want to break up.”
James felt like crying, his mind thinking back to everything you said, and knowing that you were right. “I’m sorry,” he tried. “I’m an absolute twat, I know that. I promise you I don’t love Lily, she’s just still very important to me.” You offered him a sympathetic smile.
“I know she’s important to you, I just think that maybe you don’t know what or who you want. And I won’t share my boyfriend anymore, I’m selfish like that,” You joked halfheartedly. James didn’t react, save for wrapping his arms around you. You allowed James to embrace you and he buried his head in your hair, his eyes closed as if he wanted to go to sleep and forget this was happening.
“Okay,” James whispered. What else was he supposed to say?
You closed yours as well. James would get over you in no time, you were certain. You two hadn’t been dating for that long, and perhaps James could find a happy ending in Lily after all.
James had sort of avoided you after that. You thought he was doing it because he was angry, but in reality, he was just scared that he would burst into tears the moment he saw you, and he refused to watch you laugh happily, swatting your friend while he wanted nothing more than to hold your hand again.
His mind had completely become occupied by you and he stayed in bed over the weekend, mostly wallowing in self-pity and misery.
When Monday started, he had skipped all classes and only dragged himself out of bed for Quidditch practice and patrol with Lily. Walking next to her in silence, occasionally glancing at her, he felt his stomach sink again. How ironic that when he looked at Lily, all he could think about was you.
James walked through the corridor on Friday, on his way to the courtyard to meet up with Lily again to do rounds with her. He hadn’t been able to sleep peacefully without you. At first, he had been thinking about every instance where he prioritized Lily over you, and it had him curse himself out in his pillow. He missed you. It was so ridiculous, but he missed you to the point that he would curl up in bed with a stomach ache.
He had finally drifted off when at some point in the middle of the night, he had been shaken awake by Sirius.
“What?” James had asked, his throat dry and raspy. He’d looked around, disoriented.
“Thought you were having a nightmare Prongs. You kept mumbling her name. How much you loved her,” Sirius had handed James a glass of water.
James became wide awake and sat up straight in panic. “Lily?” He had asked Sirius, his stomach turning with nausea. He still couldn’t believe that he really talked about Lily in his sleep when you were lying next to him.
“What? No, Y/N’s name of course.” Sirius had corrected him. 'Of course,' James shook his head at Sirius’ words. “Figured you were reliving your breakup,” Sirius had explained.
James was looking through the passing windows of the castle where he could see the lake in the far distance. Suddenly something in his brain clicked. What in Godrick's name was he doing, avoiding you? Why was he giving up on you without a fight? You both loved each other; he was just the idiot who couldn’t sort himself out. But it didn’t take him longer than a terrible week to open his eyes.
James’ pace increased and he ran through the corridor. “No running in the corridors young man,” a portrait commented, but he paid it no mind.
Lily was already waiting for him and raised her eyebrows at his disheveled state and the basket that he was carrying. “I can’t do rounds with you today,” he puffed out. “I told Y/N that I would take her out for a picnic and then you asked me if I could help, and I agreed, but it’s so stupid because I should be-, I am choosing her,” James ranted. “I’m not letting you come first, or even second.”
Lily wasn’t really sure what James was rambling on about but gave him a kind smile, nonetheless. “Well, what are you waiting for,” she encouraged him. “Sounds to me like you shouldn’t be here, but somewhere else.”
“Yeah, I definitely should.”
You sat by the lake, skipping stones from a sitting position, not that you were having any luck. You hadn't seen James in a while because he avoided you, and you felt sadness wash over you. You were sure that he would get over you quick enough, but you wondered how long would it take for you to get over him?
You heard rustling behind you but kept facing forward. It was only when a delicious smell reached you, that you turned around, slightly annoyed that someone would really choose this spot to have an afternoon meal at when they could’ve sat literally anywhere else near the lake, as well as choose this moment when you wanted to act like a depressed main protagonist gazing in the distance.
You were, however, not prepared to see James stand behind you, out of breath and making his way over to you, a blanket and food spread out behind him. He didn’t really need to say anything. You understood from the way he showed up here, a hopeful expression on his face.
Your heart skipped a beat, and you got up, dusting yourself off.
"Hi," James breathed. An unsure smile formed on his face when you waved back. "I uh, I brought food." He awkwardly motioned to the picnic behind him and you couldn't help but smile at his adorableness.
“Shouldn’t you be somewhere else,” you couldn’t help but lightheartedly remark. James let out an airy chuckle, immediately relaxing at your open demeanor.
“100% sure I’m where I should be,” he affirmed. He considered his words and corrected himself. "Where I want to be."
His words had you take off in a sprint towards him and James opened his arms to catch you when you jumped, locking your legs around him. Ironically enough, it felt as if a weight had fallen off of James. His head fell against your shoulder and he shakily laughed while your blouse stained with tears of relief.
"I'm really sorry," he looked up at you, still holding you steadily. You leaned down to press your forehead against his, and your hands came up to his cheeks. "You made up your mind," you said, but it came out like a question, and James nodded hastily.
"And you'll make it up to me."
"Of course," he earnestly replied. "I want us. I'll fight for us." You closed the gap between the two of you.
“I love you,” he whispered breathlessly against your lips.
Not first or second, not more, most or less. He just loves you.
james eating you out under your hogwarts skirt in the corner of a corridor 🤭
this could literally have been a whole fic tbh bedjwwbkbf anyways thank you for requesting!🫶🏽
.
This wasn’t the first time one of the marauders’ shenanigans had gone wrong, and you doubted it would be the last.
But it was very, very different to their usual fuck ups.
A lot of the time when something went wrong, it was for one of two reasons: either they got caught long before they could even hatch a plan, or something didn’t work out in their favour. You had seen it time and time again in the years you had been friends with the boys, and it never failed to amuse you.
This had been no different. One of them had a stupid idea, the rest of them encouraged it and the planning began. Despite the close friendship you shared with the boys, they never disclosed any details with you, so you were left sitting with the others as they huddled in the corner of the common room discussing their next prank. And ten minutes later, they were out the door to play out the prank, or so you assumed.
Instead, the boys had returned with sheepish looks on their face and a very fidgety James standing behind them, and it was all because the boys had tried to fuck with amortentia.
They fucked up the ingredients or the process—you still weren’t sure of the details—and it seemed James had taken the brunt of it all when he pushed the others away from the bubbling cauldron.
However, none of you would realise just what side effects the dodgy potion would have on your boyfriend.
“Oh fuck,” your head hit the wall with a thump as you fought to keep your eyes open. “James, baby, please—”
“My pretty girl,” he groaned as his palms massaged the fat of your thighs, squeezing and pulling as he tugged one of your legs over his shoulder. “Taste so fucking good.”
“James,” you breathed out, your gaze shifting down but your skirt intruded the sight of your boyfriend lapping shamelessly at your cunt. “Someone can see us—”
“Don’t care,” he grumbled, his nose nudging against your sensitive clit until you were almost keeling over him. “Wanna taste my girl, princess. Can’t keep me away from her.”
Your heart was pounding in your chest, your body was humming with white, hot pleasure and the mere fact that anybody—whether it be a student or a professor or even a fucking ghost—could turn the corner as see your boyfriend pressing you against the wall, kneeling between your legs as he ducked under your skirt to eat you out.
As it would turn out, the side effect of the dodgy potion made your boyfriend fucking insatiable. You had come more times in the last twenty-four hours than you probably had in the last few weeks, and it was all to do with the fact that James couldn’t get enough of you.
He had you sprawled across the bed until you whined about other people hearing during the night. He had you bent over the common room couch when the rest of the castle was asleep. He had you pressed against the edge of the tub in the prefect bathrooms in the morning. He had his cock down your throat in the quidditch broom closet. He had you up against one of the windows on the staircase up to the divination tower between classes.
James Potter hadn’t let you have a single break to catch your breath since he was hit with the potion, and it was honestly a shock you were still standing at this point.
“James, baby, please,” you whined, the noise was pathetic and needy, and something about the fact you could hear him slurping against your wet pussy between your pleas just made the coil in your stomach tighten. “We can’t—”
“Shhh, you can take it,” he murmured as his hands tightened around your thighs, pulling you closer to him until you were slumped against the wall with his face pressed against your cunt. “You’re still dripping, princess, can taste myself inside you.”
“Shit,” you hissed, your eyes clenching shut as your thighs squeezed around his head. “James—”
“Fuck, honey, need to fill you up again,” his voice was needy and whiny as he pulled his head out from under your skirt, his nose and chin and lips glistening with your arousal. Your eyes shifted down to see the way his cock strained in his trousers, how hard he was from simply making you come twice on his tongue. “You gonna help me out, princess? Gonna take my cock again?”
You were exhausted and you didn’t even know if you could stand up any longer, but the sight of your boyfriend pleading on his knees as he palmed his cock had your resolve shattering in seconds.

sirius/james introducing shy!reader to remus. and shes just like quiet and in awe, but remus loves it.
luveline's 40k party ☆
tysm for requesting! remus x shy fem!reader
James is used to your personality after months of being your lecture neighbour, unperturbed by your quiet. "It's going to be fun," he promises, handing you a cold glass of cranberry vodka. "They're nice, okay? I won't let anyone irritate you."
He's hosting a party and had the generosity to invite you round early. He's easing you in, so to speak. It took him two weeks of steady Hellos for you to work up the courage to say Hi back, another two weeks for small talk, a month before you felt comfortable speaking to him first. If you're that shy, a party is basically torture.
"It's not about irritating me," you say.
"I know, I'm messing." James lists his head to the left. A second later, there's a knock at the door. "Aha. Wait here, shortcake, there's someone I want you to meet."
"James," you say after him, wet from your glass leaking down to your sleeve, "what?"
"I asked him to come early and say hello! He's quiet and handsome and you'll love him, just don't stare at his nose."
What's wrong with his nose? you think, alarmed.
James opens the door. Two new voices emerge, one scratchy and a little high, the other smoother. "I need to pee so bad," the scratchy one declares, followed by bounding footsteps up the stairs.
"You alright?" the smoother asks.
You think there's patting, a hug, "I'm brilliant! You smell really nice, Remus, like a garden."
"Lovely."
"In a good way! Come and meet my Y/N, you remember I told you about her nice gel pens?"
James leads the smooth-voiced Remus into the living room. You hurriedly put down your drink and stand, wiping your wet hands in your shirt. You cringe at the darkening fabric but hide your grimace as they stop in front of you.
"Remus, Y/N. Y/N, Remus," James introduces you both.
Remus has a scar across his nose that seems cruelly cut. There's another beside it that starts in his upper lip, both of which end in his eyebrow. You know how self-conscious it feels to be looked at, so you manage to smile and offer your hand without too much of it. He's handsome with his scars, a nice nose with a ridge and brown eyes the colour of caramelised sugar.
"Hello," Remus says, shaking your hand. His is big enough to make yours feel small.
"I invited her early because she's more fun than the rest of our lot," James says, throwing himself down on the sofa and kicking his legs out on the coffee table.
Remus taps your elbow very gently as if to usher you to sit and sits down beside you, enough space to be casual but too little to stop the rampant nerves that blossom in your stomach.
Remus asks about your life. What you're studying, where you're from, if James is being nice to you. While James is touchy in the rough older brother way, scrunching your shoulder and shaking you when you're not expecting it. Remus is touchy in a different way, you find, almost as if he doesn't know he's doing it. His shoe bumps your shoe, his hand falls down between his outer thigh and your own, his knuckles touching your jeans very lightly. He spins in his seat to talk to you.
You don't notice other people arriving, nor the scratchy-voiced friends return. All you can do is look up at Remus with wide eyes. Your nerves meld to something warmer.
"And what do you do?" you ask him.
He smiles like you've wandered into a secret. "I'm trying to write a book."
"He's being a bit much," Sirius says to James, the two now loitering in the doorway with matching beers. You and Remus chatter on, unaware of their running commentary.
"It's a very strong reaction. I knew she'd like him, but I didn't think she'd like him like that." James takes a sip of his drink. Remus asks you a quiet question. You duck your head, playing with your sleeves, and Remus, the bastard, ducks his head to follow your gaze, smiling at you all the while.
James almost chokes, pointing his bottle toward you both as though Sirius isn't already looking. "He's eating it up. I forgot how flirty he is."
"She'll be nice to him, won't she?" Sirius asks, like it's a done deal. To be fair, Remus seems enthralled with you.
"Definitely. She's very nice. Oh, look, that's sick, she's gonna pass out." James winces as Remus takes your arm into his hand.
Remus wouldn't do anything cruel, but James wasn't joking when he told Remus that you were exceedingly, achingly shy. He's about to step in and rescue you, but you turn into Remus' touch and pull your leg up on the sofa to make yourself comfortable. Your voice is animated, if quieter than the average person's.
"Woah," James says, beaming.
Remus flirts almost as a defence, like he wants to get the rejection over and done with so he can move on. You've yet to reject; you're looking up at him in moderate awe, your lips quirked into an easy smile.
"Boo!" James calls, flicking his bottle cap at Remus, who brushes it away. "Took me three weeks to get a smile out of her," he mutters. "What a dick."
can we see a weird girl!reader hanging out with eddie, and joking that he only likes cheerleaders. after he comes down from his shock, he reveals his huge crush on the reader

Wc: 1.9k
Eddie watched as you picked up another rock, examining it carefully in your hand before tossing it towards the lake. The two of you had been out here at Lover’s Lake for close to 2 hours now after asking him to bring you here during lunch. Some of his friends laughed at him for how easy it was for you to get him to do anything.
You and Eddie had been friends since he moved to the trailer park, falling in and out over the years as you both went through the motions of life that got you to where you were today. Sometimes you two were inseparable, and other times you kept to yourself, choosing to be alone for weeks or months on end. Many people deemed you weird for your antisocial behaviors, but Eddie knew you would come back around eventually, and he always welcomed you back with open arms.
With his legs dangling out the back door of his van, he brought a newly lit cigarette in his mouth to chase the joint he had just finished as he watched you do…whatever thing you needed to get out of your system today.
He should have known you were going to want to spend the day outside with the overcast that had been looming. You hated the heat from the sun, preferring the shield of the clouds to cover you while you look for different bug or flowers or whatever you deemed worthy to be picked from the ground.
“Oh, Eddie!” Your excited voice had him jolting straight up, greeted by the site of your bright smile before him. “Look! This one’s got a fossil in it!”
Eddie opens his hand for you to place the rock in his hand, and, sure as shit, there’s a print of some old ass plant or something on the side of it.
“Woah, thats fucking cool,” he says, matching your energy for your find. He hands it back to you and you hold it in both hands, face beaming at your discovery.
But after a moment, your expression falters. A crack in the joy of the moment that Eddie clocks right away.
“What?” He asks, looking at you even though he knows you wont give him eye contact back.
“Eddie, why do you hang out with me?”
Eddie reels back at your question. It’s not the first time you’ve dropped heavy questions on him before, but he wasn’t expecting you to hit him with that one.
It was complicated, why he liked having you around. Or at least that’s what he hells himself.
Because the truth is that Eddie is completely head over heels for you. Ever since he’s known you he knew you were it for him, even telling you when you were younger that he would marry you someday, reveling in the way your nose would scrunch up at the suggestion. Wayne had to tell him to not be so forward or else he was going to scare you off.
Little did Wayne know that it would take a hell of a lot more than Eddie’s strong personally to push you away. He eventually realized how well you could match Eddie’s energy, calling the two of you a match made for trouble. And Eddie wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because Eddie loves when you would barge into his room without knocking to show him a painting you’ve finished, or when you would tap on his window at 3 am because you couldn’t sleep, knowing he was probably still awake, too. He loved when you would join the Hellfire Club at lunch, telling Grant to move so you could sit next to Eddie’s spot at the end of the table. He loved that you wanted to be around him, and he wanted to be around you just as much.
“Because we’re friends,” he says casually. Because he can’t tell you how he feels. He can’t risk giving you a reason to run away from him. “It’s been like, what, 10 years now since we started hanging out? Why do you want to know now?”
Your eyes shift down, avoiding eye contact with him. You must be worried about something he thinks. He wishes he could read minds just to see what you’re thinking.
“I was just wondering. Don’t want you to think you’re obligated to hang out with me.”
“What?” He shakes his head incredulously. “I don’t feel obligated. I like hanging out with you. Promise.”
He sticks his pinky out for you to twist with yours, something you’ve been doing since he pinky-promised to be your friend when the other kids said you were too weird.
But you don’t accept it, crossing your arms over your chest and curling in on yourself. Your boot shifts as you nervously roll a rock under your heel. It’s quiet for a moment, and Eddie drops his hand slowly, not liking the way the air is shifting around the two of you. Something feels off. Final.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea for us to hang out anymore, Eddie,” you say matter of factly. Forced. He can tell you’re putting on a front, like the one you put on for your mom. He wonders if she’s got something to do with this.
Eddie’s throat feels dry, breathing in through his nose to keep himself together.
“I don’t know why you would think that. Did I do something—”
“No,” you cut him off, looking at him in the eyes for a few seconds before averting your gaze again. “It’s not you Eddie. I just…”
Eddie stares at you with his big brown eyes hoping you’ll give him something, anything to try and fix whatever has you feeling this way.
“Don’t you want a girlfriend?”
Well that was the last thing he expected you to say.
“I’m sorry, what?” He blinks up at you, confused at where this conversation is going. You take a sharp breath through your nose, and huff, brows pinching as you become visibly upset.
“Well you and Jeff and Gareth were talking about how hot the cheerleaders uniforms are, and — and you said that if you had a chance you’d like to see what's under their skirts—“
“Okay, hold on, I didn’t say that,” he says defensively, but you give him a look that makes him back track, “Or, even if I did, I only said it because it was Gareth and Jeff. I didn’t really mean it.”
“I’m not mad that you said it, Eddie. I just…I hear what those girls say about me…about us and…I just feel like…I—I,” you sniffle, “I don’t want to be the reason you can’t get a girlfriend.”
Eddie tries so, so hard not to laugh. Like, he’s really trying to hold it in because you’re clearly very upset. But he can’t suppress the open mouth smile that slowly creeps across his face at your suggestion that you are why he doesn’t have a girlfriend.
“Sweetheart,” he finally says, “You don’t really think that do you?”
Your only response is a silent nod and Eddie’s heart only grows more for you.
“Trust me, you’re not why I don’t have a girlfriend,” he says with a tone of self-deprecation. It’s not the full truth, because technically you are the reason, just not in the way you think. “Those cheerleaders wouldn’t want me whether you’re around me or not. And it’s not like there’s a line of girls dying to date me or whatever.”
He twists his rings around his fingers, waiting for your response. When he looks up, you’re looking at him like he’s got three heads. “What?” He laughs.
“Are you joking?” You ask him.
“Joking about what…?”
“That you don’t have girls trying to get with you…”
“Oh, no, definitely not.”
A smile finally cracks on your face at his words, and an immediate relief washes over him. The tension in your body visibly washes away and you take a step closer to him.
“Okay,” you say with a soft smile.
“Can I ask why you’re so worried about me getting a girlfriend anyway?”
“Well, my mom said—“
He raises his hand, stopping you mid sentence, “That’s all I needed to hear.”
It warms his heart when you laugh, melting all the worries away. Though, he still can’t help feeling like he could lose you forever at any given moment. It would gut him if you really did decide that he couldn’t be in your life anymore. He already gets sick at the thought of you meeting someone else, someone other than him, and moving on to leave him in the dust.
“Why do you hang out with me?”
He likes the way your eyebrows shoot up when he turns your question back on you. He thinks that he’s got you just as flustered as you had him, but you look at him with a shake of the head as you speak very matter of factly.
“Because I love you.”
Eddie has to catch himself before he can get too excited. This is you that he’s dealing with. You could mean that in so many ways; as a friend, a brother, a lover. And, god, did he hope you mean the ladder.
“Love me how?” He asks carefully, trying his best not to sound to excited.
“Like…well, sometimes, when you do stuff that’s, like, really cute or makes me happy, I just want to—“ You bring your hands to his face, something you’ve done many times over the years when he’s going on about D&D or music or even just when he’s reading. He always assumed it was your way of expressing that he was being a bother or overstimulating you, so he would usually stop or change the subject. “—just grab you and kiss you.”
Eddie knows his face has to be as red as a tomato. His heart is going a million miles a minute and he can barely keep his breathing steady.
Holy shit is this happening?
“You want to kiss me?”
You nod, “Yeah, like, a lot.”
“Why haven’t you?”
Your eyes practically bug out of your head, dumbstruck at his words.
“I can do that?”
“Please?” It comes out breathy, meant to be a joke, but almost as a beg.
And so you do. Your soft, mint chapstick covered lips hastily meet his, head tilted ever so slightly so your noses don’t bump as if you’ve done this before. Have you done this before? Certainly not with him. It makes his blood boil thinking that someone other than him has ever gotten a chance to do this with you.
The feeling of your fingers gliding across his scalp, nails skimming in a way that sends goosebumps down his arms. He takes the opportunity to bring his own hands to your hips, pulling you closer to him to deepen the kiss.
When you finally pull away, Eddie leans in to chase after you. When he finally opens his eyes, he feels sick—lovesick at the sight of your pleased smile. The way you’re looking at him with a sparkle in your eye makes him feel like he could do anything.
“Wow,” you breath between the two of you.
“Likewise,” he says with an airy chuckle.
“Can I do it again?” You ask shyly.
“Sweetheart, you can kiss me whenever you want,” he says dreamily.
“Really?”
He hums in response, cut off with a hmph as your lips meet his again. And again. And again. And again.

Sirius Black x fem!reader ♡ 1.1k words
Remus opens the front door, sees Sirius on the other side, and promptly shuts it in his face.
Or he would, if Sirius weren’t so quick about wedging his shoe in the crack. The door closes on his toe unkindly.
“Ow! Moony, what if I was here to see you?”
“Doesn’t matter,” Remus says primly. “We’re not speaking to you.”
“We?” Sirius sputters, trying to get his knee in the door to further wedge it open. “What’d I do to you?”
Remus ceases trying to close the door, but won’t let it move an inch in Sirius’ direction. “Don’t. We both know what you did.”
“I didn’t think it’d be that bad!”
“Guess you should have thought harder.” Remus shrugs indifferently, before giving Sirius’ knee a shove with the butt of his palm. Sirius reels, and Remus doesn’t wait to see if he hits the pavement before shutting the door and bolting it. He turns to find your head peeking out from your room down the hall.
“It’s him?” you ask quietly, as if afraid he’ll hear you. Which he most certainly can’t, not over the pounding he’s begun on your front door.
“Remus!” He’s shouting loud enough that Remus knows he’ll be hearing from the neighbors, but he doesn’t care. “Remus, let me in!”
“Yeah,” Remus answers unnecessarily. “It’s him.” You chew on your lip, and Remus’ heart turns heavy and made of mush. “Want me to get him to go away, love? I can take him back to his place.”
Your chewing worsens. Remus worries you’re going to tear the skin off your bottom lip. “I don’t want it to be a big deal,” you say, unsure. “God, I’m really sorry I let this happen. I never meant to make things weird between you and your friend.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Remus says, and he means it. He and Sirius will get past this eventually, no matter what happens between you, but for now, he’s alright with letting Sirius sit with the consequences of his fuckup. “Listen, I’m sure Sirius wants to talk, but he’ll leave if I tell him that’s what you want. Do you want me to tell him?”
You think for a second, then swallow. “No. No, I’d better talk to him. Thanks, though, Remus.”
Remus nods, your thanks far from necessary. “I’ll be in my room, then.”
You give him a grateful smile, strained as it is, before you head in opposite directions down the hall.
Remus hears the door open, and despite every nosy urge in him, he puts his headphones on before he can catch even the beginning of your conversation. He spends the next hour trying to study while actually just glancing toward the hall every five minutes, waiting to see if you’ll come talk to him. When the knock sounds on his door he all but hops up, a bit too eager, perhaps, to be updated on what’s happened. But when he opens the door, it’s not you on the other side.
“Oh,” he says to Sirius, deadpan. “You’re still here.”
“Always happy to see you too, Moons.” Sirius lets himself into Remus’ room, sitting on his bed. He’s trying to look relaxed, leaning back on his hands with his ankles crossed in front of him, but Remus can see the tension in him. His hair is fluffy like he’s been running his hands through it, and half the polish has been chipped off his nails. “Listen, Y/N’s forgiven me, so do you think you could too?”
Remus isn’t surprised; Sirius is charming, and you seem to really like him. He obviously really likes you too, which helps. Still, Remus has to consider it for a while. “Fine,” he decides. “But I’m not going to refrain from saying I told you so. You were an idiot.”
Sirius sighs, both relief and resignation in the sound. He lies back on Remus’ bed, hands resting on his stomach where they fiddle with his rings. “I was an idiot,” he admits.
“I told you it was too early to do pranks.”
“You told me.”
“Even James told you, which is how you know you were being extra thick.”
“I know.” Sirius brings a hand to his face, eyes squeezing closed as he pinches the top of his nose. “She said it’s alright, but I’m going to spend forever trying to make it up to her.”
“Good,” Remus says, sitting down beside him. He looks down the hallway, noting your closed door and the light that seeps through the crack beneath it. You’ve left them alone so Sirius could make his amends with his friend. You’re a sweetheart that way. Sirius can be a sweetheart too, but it takes a tender hand to bring it out of him. From what Remus can tell, you bring it out. When he next speaks, his voice is a bit softened. “She’s bolder when she’s around you, but that’s really the only time I really see her acting like that. She’s usually quite shy. You embarrassed her, Pads.”
“I know,” Sirius says again with a sigh. “I guess I just thought…” he cuts a wary look towards his friend. “Alright, don’t give me shit for this, but I thought I knew her better.”
“I am going to give you shit,” Remus decides. “You’re a prick for thinking that, and you should know it.”
Sirius groans. “I know it.”
Remus hums. “So how’re you gonna make it up to her?”
A sigh. “It’s gonna take awhile.” Remus nods, pleased that he’s at least bright enough to be aware of that. “I was planning on starting tonight. Do you know where she gets those pastries she likes from?”
Remus eyes him. “I do. But there’ll be a tax.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Sirius says, rolling his eyes. “You’re covered, I’ve already got a pain au chocolat on my list. If she lets me, can I stay here tonight?”
Remus arches a brow. “You’re laying it on a bit thick. Think she’ll want you here?”
“I don’t know yet,” Sirius shrugs, and guilt hits Remus like a truck at the look on his friend’s face.
He keeps his tone as nonchalant as he can when he says, “Fine. If she lets you, you can stay. Just—” he grimaces “—nothing while I’m home, please.”
Sirius makes a face, and Remus scoffs.
“Oh, please, as if you’re so far above that. We used to be roommates too, don’t forget.” Sirius’ grin turns sheepish, and Remus rolls his eyes. “The bakery’s at the end of the block. They close soon, so hurry.”
“Thanks!” Sirius says, already halfway down the hall. He grabs his jacket from across the back of the couch and is gone.
Not five seconds pass before you’re peeking out of your room again. “Was that him leaving just now?”
“Yeah,” Remus answers you.
“Do you…do you know if he’s coming back?”
You’re all quiet hope, timid in Sirius’ absence but already lighter than you had been when Remus had last seen you. He smiles. “Yeah, he’s coming back. I don’t think we’ll be able to get rid of him for a while.”
Tim joins the family early/Jason Todd never dies fic
I figured since I’m coming up on nearly a year of reading far to much batman fanfic, I might as well share some it with the rest of y’all. Doing this by trope because I was in the mood a week ago when I was tracking all of these down. Anyway, if you got any favorites in this genre that aren’t on this list, add them on! I’m always looking for more good fic to read.
Latchkey by goldkirk
55k, complete. This fic is one of those fandom classics and one of those central touchpoints for the genre. I don’t know enough to say for certain but anecdotally, I’ve seen a lot of fics drawing on it’s combination of baby-stalker!Tim, Tim befriending the Waynes, and getting adopted.
5 Times Tim Spends the Night at Wayne Manor + 1 Time He Comes Home by motleyfam
50k, complete. What it says on the tin. If you like sickfic, this is the one for you. Tim manages to get himself sick and/or injured in just about every chapter of this baby.
Belonged Here All Along by Raberba girl
25k, wip but the main story’s complete. Tim bluffs/gaslights his way into getting the bats to adopt him.
birds fly in every direction by distracted_dragon
170k, wip. Plotwise, in broad strokes this was inspired by and is pretty similar to Latchkey. You’ve got your baby-stalker!Tim, Tim befriending the Waynes, and Tim getting adopted. It does put it’s own spin on everything though and is definitely worth checking out!
Brother Wanted by Vamillepudding
10k, complete. A 13 year-old Jason does his level best to adopted a 10 year-old Tim after Tim puts an ad in the paper for a big brother.
Like a Hinge, Like a Wing by Ultrageekatlarge
25k, wip. As of the time of the post, this fic is still updating on a regular basis so the stats will probably become outdated sooner rather than later. Anyway, Jason doesn’t die, but Tim’s parents do and the family member who gets custody of him afterwards is slowly murdering him so Tim goes to the bats for help.
In this Town We Call Home by Vamillepudding
20k, complete. You’ve got your standard mix of baby-stalker!Tim, Tim befriending the Waynes, and adoption now with the added spice that the Drakes used Batman as a boogeyman and now Tim is kind of scared of Batman. Robin’s fine though!
On the Way Home by ignesfatuis
130k, complete. This one’s a little different than the rest of the fics in this list in that rather than taking place in a vaguely canon-ish universe, it takes place in a AU where there are wolf-shifters. Tim gets kidnapped, stuck in his wolf form, and is eventually rescued by the bats (who are also wolf-shifters).
Runaway Robin by DangerBeckett
10k, complete. Robin!Jason keeps running into baby-stalker!Tim on the roofs of Gotham. Very funny.
The Power of Family and this Stalker I found by JackHawksmoor
25k, wip. Technically, Jason did die in this one, he just came back at the earliest possible opportunity. Anyway, we’ve got baby-stalker Tim, we’ve got a Tim & Jason friendship, we’ve got a Dick and Bruce who’re dancing around each other and majorly miscommunicating. In other words, we’ve got all the good stuff.
These Were their Crimes by Moe64
55k, complete. Unlike most of the works on this list, I haven’t finished reading this one yet, but from what I’ve read so far, it’s good! Jason doesn’t die, but Tim’s parents still do and now Tim and Step wander around Gotham at night to fight crime (Tim doing more of like a stalker/detective thing).
Tim Pennyworth by April_Ace
10k, wip. Tim becomes Alfred’s foster child during Jason’s robin career. While this fic hasn’t been updated in a couple years, what there is now stands on it’s own quite well.
two against the world by carolinaa
35k, complete. Tim adopts a dog while out being a baby-stalker. Things escalate from there.
Fics that don’t quite fit the brief but that I still really like:
If I’m being honest, what goes on the main list or not is based almost solely off of vibes. Take that as you will.
Fairy Godbrother by envysparkler
30k, complete. The Tim joining the family early component of this is mainly in chapter 2, and is part of a larger plot where just about all the robins join the family early due to meddling from another dimension.
Surveillance by smilebackwards
7k, complete. Jason doesn’t die, and at the time this fic starts, Tim is seventeen, running around as a teenage stalker, and picking fights with Lex Luthor until he ends up tangled up in the Batfamily. Not on the main list mainly because Tim is nearly an adult.
The Man and The Nothing by Souliebird
5k, complete. 10 year old tim is being haunted by… something, and is just not doing well in general, so he goes to Batman for help.
