gretacatch:
I’ve already got the kettle on. Greta couldn’t help but grin, ever thankful for Elizabeth’s unsurpassed kindness and general hospitality. “You know, a nice hot chocolate is rather hard to turn down.” A tired chuckle parted her lips, though Elizabeth’s smile did help to warm her spirits some. She’d let the door thud gently behind her, only to be wrapped in her friend’s reassuring embrace. It was nice to be on the receiving end when so frequently Greta herself was the hug initater. Perhaps that had to do with her tendency to over-hug people. The former badger’s personal space awareness was not always very well tuned.
The blonde returned the affectionate squeeze, a somewhat more playful grin soon sweeping across her features. “You smell good. I might need to bribe you into telling me your secret.”
“I think I might even have some mini marshmallows,” she smiled, glad to put a smile on Greta’s face. “You’ll have to bribe me with something amazing,” she joked as she pulled away from the hug. “It’s an expensive secret.”
She walked towards the kitchen, starting about making hot chocolates for them both. She took down the two largest mugs she owned and set them on the counter before turning towards her friend once again. “Do you want to talk about it or do you want to put on a movie and not talk about it?” She had learned that sometimes things happened that you just didn’t want to talk about and sometimes all you wanted to do was talk. Sometimes you just didn’t talk yet. Whatever Greta’s feelings, Elizabeth just wanted her to know that she’d be happy to go along with it.
