...and there are some who dwell in forest-places....
Nightdeer ancestor-thing. Pen + ink on cotton rag paper. 12 x 30cm. Oct ‘15.
Time has been doing that thing it does, and a stack of ancestor-like drawings has happened between then and now. Lately I’ve been into drawing nightdeer ancestor-things. I think they tend the matter that the other ancestors gather and rebuild...sort of like maintenance gardeners...maybe.

28.7.15
The past couple of weeks have been filled with pairs of ancestor drawings...
1.7.15
24.6.15
Sneak peek: of underground forests and fiery hands..
17.6.15
Little people exploring slightly eerie places..
14.6.15
More little peeks: a disappearance, making magic, and a goblin king’s spindle-legs.
Forty-nine illustrations done for A.M. Henry’s fourth tale, and the end isn’t too far off (I think. Have yet to be given the final few chapters, so who knows?).
Ooo, suspense...
12.2.15
Little sneak-peak of an Ancestor-thing started last week during a taking-a-me-day (or three) moment. Now back to illustrating and it has been lurking semi-abandoned but very nearly almost finished...
1.2.15
Ghostly outline of ancestors (or are they the People Who Live in Cold Places, reenacting their history/mythology via mimicking the actions of the Ancestors...and by doing so are they trying to make sense of the void that surrounds the cold places in which they live?)
30.1.15
The past few days have been full of rather tiny foliage..
21.1.15
And one more done..
17.1.15
Icy lands and mysterious women...
10.1.15
And sometimes the narrative is an underlying unknown...
Bird-thing ancestor for a gift. Pen + ink on endpapers.
7.1.15
Little peeks: hands and fingers (and biscuits and wings and misshapen saucepans).
23.12.14
Finally bought a new scanner. Brain is breaking from playing around with settings.
2.12.14
Oh you furry-kneed devil (and this would be chapter twenty-six, very nearly almost done).
