《Will it really ruin everything?》
Remark: I don't really know if I'm going to left it on one part or come back to it, but I just love the idea of Victoria having a casual bisexual panic over them. And I don't see that ship at all, so I decided to do something myself. Live, laugh, love polyamory mavadi&mcvadi.

Looking over patient's card, Mateo leaned on the nurse station, going over the symptoms on the paper. ER as always in chaos, but at least it is manageable right now, usually between end of day shift and start of the night is the time when this place chill a little. Of course no one calls it the Q word, even in mind, the world won't be merciful and immediately jinx it.
He him self came here just after his shift, Princess asked to cover for her, and as he has next night off, he didn't complain much.
But by the time nurse's gaze slid through the symptoms of the man in room A11, his eyes stopped on one word. Maybe it's already his second year in the PTMC, but he still has a lot to learn. And he probably knows the symptom's meaning, but simply forgot. Apparently having zero sleep in 28 hours and running only on MacCoffee and four chocolate bars wasn't good for his braincells.
So taping middle finger against the back of a folder, gaze immediately dropped on the good known doc that flashed past him in a purple zip hoodie. Probably faster than usual, not because she needs to be somewhere else, but apparently trying to avoid her mom or Trinity. And his feet go faster than his mind and mouth.
He calls out with that pure of a tone voice as he get in steps with her, with made her stop in one moment. Stopping by her left side, his hand dropped on her shoulder, leaning a little so to be on eye level with her.
- can you help me with this?
The girl looked confused at first, her brown eyes got bigger for a moment before she looked at the handed to her patient's papers. It wasn't an often thing when nurses didn’t knew something written on patient card, to be honest, most of the time they knew what to do not on their case more then interns.
She asks briefly, leaning her thumb and forefinger to go through a couple of papers, before really linger her eyes on the text. Hand on her shoulder felt grounding, the weight of a nurse who stood right next to her, waiting for her to look through the patient card. It was nice. Especially sines it was Mateo - from-the-first-day-fall-for-him - Diaz.

A cocky smile forms on his face, not too bright, just there with that sarcastic comment. He carefully taps a word "VATER" with a knuckle of his finger. But before J even got a chance to think about it, another a little lighter hand lands on her other shoulder.
Cassies chin is a little but an inch from above her hand, looking over the patient's card. She appeared sudden and quite, not that she was trying to be, but with a curiosity her gaze stopped right above Mateo's knuckle beneath the word, on with Javadi was looking a second ago before Mckay appeared so close to her.
- VATER is a a rare disorder with multiple birth defects including spine, anal, heart, and kidney anomalies– but in this case it's not even reveled to his throat, so you can ignore it
Probably she didn't even mean to interrupt Victoria. Most of the times, Cassie tries to keep her mouth shut, waiting for her to speak for her self, with an after pat on a back and some praise like - "good job" or "I couldn't say better", especially with cases with those young teens who didn't speak much much when their parents are in the room.
She probabky did it accidently, because that shift was a hell for her and everyone, she got a lot of a big bad cases, and just wants as soon as possible to go back home or go to a bar to chill with other colleagues. It's Friday after all.
Mateo didn't flinched, just patted Victoria's shoulder before his hand slipped of her, ready to head over back to the nurse station.

That "us", with his gaze lingering for a moment on Victoria too, felt like he was talking only about three of them and not all day shift hanging out at the park with a beer. And by trowing that last line he vanished behind a little crowd of nurses near station.
Victoria couldn't tell why she felt that way, well, no, she definitely could. She hated the way her heart still skipped a bit when Mateo was standing to close to her, or when his hand on her shoulders made her easily relax. But he stand his ground on the first day they've met - he doesn't date at work. Javadi maybe was a little disappointed, but it didn't meant they couldn't be friends, and that's why she hated that her pulse goes down only when Mateo disappears from her view. Even though that time it didn't happened.
That soft voice got Victoria out her head, reminding her that there is still a hand on her another shoulder. Warmer hand with a watch on her wrist, strap of with - old and when in places leather goes a little off, that Cassie probably had for a long time, slightly feels on her shoulder blade. Probably that's why her heart is still beating faster then usual. Even if she doesn't admit it.. for now.

And with one motion glows are left her right and then left hand's, before fly intro a trash. In fact, she already can go, her charts are finished, and it's already 7:35 PM, that's a miracle she avoided to be trapped here another couple hours...
