let's talk about the physical affects of chronic anxiety because they're hardly ever acknowledged
upset stomach and vomiting
ulcers
muscle aches
chronic fatigue
hormonal problems
irregular menstrual cycles
insomnia
infections
lowered immune system
migraines
shortness of breath
dizziness
heart palpitations
teeth-grinding
rashes
it is a lot more than just “feeling anxious “
can’t reblog enough.

I hate when people do the whole “if the reverse happened…” bullshit. The reverse didn’t happen. You know why? Because that’s not how our society works. And actually yeah, someone beating someone up for no good reason is called ASSAULT AND BATTERY and is ILLEGAL and morally reprehensible no matter what. But if you want to ignore the role of male entitlement and misogyny in this situation, then just stay ignorant.
"what she was doing is illegal" it’s literally her without makeup she’s the same person since when is going outside without makeup on illegal — Misfitreindeer

Eric Portis
Russell Brand discusses Iggy Azalea and the appropriation of black culture (watch the full interview here)
“Hasn’t that always been the way with mainstream culture? Whether it’s the blues or rock n’ roll [or hip hop]. The re-appropriation of black culture into the mainstream? That’s always been the way. It becomes sanitized. It loses its original message without ever conceding any rights to non-white people. Take the best bits. Keep the fruit. And abandon the people.”
“The idea that black culture is constantly being ransacked is a powerful narrative, a powerful story that began with slavery, one of the great abominations of human history. That injury hasn’t been healed. The civil rights struggle is only 50 years ago and still racism is a prevalent issue in this country and all over the world.”
He gets it.
Why do I feel like he broke up with Katy bc of her culture appropriation.
Come on and preach
HE GETS IT

What's wrong with lime crime?
A very, very large number of things.Sit down kids, and prepare yourself for a long post. For starters, here is a good overview of Lime Crime’s/Doe Deere’s/Xenia’s history. Unfortunately, the original blog that made the post was taken down because of Lime Crime threatening legal action (? if I remember correctly, at least) so some of the source links are broken. That aside, in summary, amongst the things I do know concretely, I can say this:1) LC used to sell repackaged TKB micas at an extremely jacked up price. You can read the original article about it here, but all their photobucket images have expired. Still possibly worth a read though. (Some of the images from the blog post are still in circulation though. See here, and here.) 2) Mentioned in the above post, Lime Crime once threatened a girl with legal action for posting a less-than positive review of their lipsticks (wade through the added commentary and expired photobucket pictures and you can read the original review here). If you do not care to read the whole article, this is the snippet made publicly available about what Lime Crime had to say to her:"We expect that you immediately remove all posts pertaining to our company, its principals, and our products and issue a public retraction and apology on the [Blog Title] blog. Failure to comply by November 18th will result in the most strenuous legal action allowable under California law. Continued defamatory conduct will expose you to further, deeper legal liability.Guide yourself accordingly.Lime Crime”After the blogger complied, they were still unsatisfied and demanded she posted, verbatim, this scripted apology instead:"We appreciate your compliance in removing your defamatory posts. However, we consider re-posting a heavily edited version of our email with a cheeky "retraction" a bad-faith effort. Please post the below retraction and apology verbatim, or we will be forced to proceed with litigation:On several occasions, under the names of [removed at blogger’s request], and “Jessica L.” I published untrue articles and comments on various websites about Lime Crime Makeup, its proprietor, Doe Deere, and the company’s products. This includes my article “Lime Crime - A History”.I hereby unreservedly withdraw the defamatory statements made by me and apologize publicly to Lime Crime. I also wish to express my regrets that these defamatory statements were ever published and admit that there was no ground for these defamatory statements.”3) LC photoshops/photoshopped (I don’t know if they still do) their stock/modelling photos (1, 2, 3), making it so that lipsticks often arrive in different colors than advertised.4) The entire issue of cultural appropriation with the company’s China Doll palette and how poorly they handled the situation.5) The fact that Doe Deere dressed up as Hitler for Halloween one year. 6) Lack of professionalism, such as 1, 2, 3.7) Repeatedly claiming their products are vegan/cruelty free when they are not. (1, 2, 3).8) Lying about ingredients and breaking laws.9) Doe Deere once tried to anonymously accuse Sugarpill of repackaging cosmetics. She was traced via the photo/camera details that she took the “proof” photo, and one of her selfies with, to prove it was her.10) Frequently using other people’s images without credit or permission, and justifying their actions with this.11) I’ve also seen/heard reports of them claiming people are wearing LC makeup when they are not, but I cannot find any concrete sources for this one. 12) Biggest of all, especially right now, is that they had a breach of security on their website, apparently because Lime Crime let their security certificates expire, making them more vulnerable, and tons of people lost money because of it. From hundreds to thousands - it has absolutely destroyed some people. Apparently they have been deleting comments where people are sharing complaints and their own experiences involving the breach. (1, 2, 3, 4.)And yet, in spite of all of this, especially the last point, they have posted this ridiculous attempt at deflecting on their various social media accounts. After an extensively shoddy history, and the most massive screw up with their website’s security, they have effectively ruined peoples lives, and yet they still have the audacity to sit there and quibble over those big bad internet meanies ruining their “positive spaces”. Lime Crime is a sordid excuse for a makeup company. Please consider boycotting them if you have any interest in being a customer of theirs in the future.
