If Mike wasn’t someone who liked to fight, he was clearly someone who liked to protect the people he liked and the people he cared about. Elliot was one of those people he cared about, and he cared a lot. He was one of the friends he had, and so Mike was definitely trying to keep him safe, and even from himself if he needed to. So sure, he was going to Elliot apartment. In fact, he didn’t even knocked, he immediately entered in the appartment and looked for Elliot. He didn’t took long to find him on his couch and almost immediately took the bottle away from him, giving him a tap behind the head. “What do you think, you stupid ass? It’s no time for drinks, even less to get drunk. Go drink some water now, move your ass.”
“Fuck you.” Was Elliot’s immediate reply as he tried to grab the bottle back from him. There was no real heat evident in his tone as he reached for it, giving Mike a glare. He wasn’t annoyed at Mike, and he knew he’d be thankful that he stopped him from drinking when he wasn’t drunk; but that was neither here nor there. All he wanted to do was finish the bottle, and he couldn’t believe Mike would try and stop him. He was surprised to hear that his words weren’t slurred as he spoke with a reproachful tone, “I’m allowed to drink all I want, you asshole. Give it back.”

“ I mean- maybe the machine is just better ?? “ erik asked, raising an eyebrow before taking another sip of the coffee “ OR MAYBE i’m just better at making coffee “ the boy suggested, waiting to see elliot’s reaction
“Or maybe, you’re just an asshole.” Elliot replied to the others suggestion, rolling his eyes with a smile as he took another drink, “Don’t let your coffee skills get to your head; it’s already big enough as it is.”
From the moment she pulled away, she felt lost in how to act. Suddenly, she wasn’t sure if she should just walk away or try to continue the conversation. She wasn’t sure if, despite the risk, she should’ve taken him up on his offer to go inside. There was a feeling lingering deep inside of her that had been there ever since she met him and that’s the feeling of not knowing how to say goodbye and part ways. Her teeth sunk into her lower lip when his lips came in contact with her forehead. Sure, the feeling was barely there, but the knowledge was enough for her. ‘’How are we gonna do this, El?’’ she questioned before looking up at him. ‘’How do we go from loving one another, to not speaking for months, to agreeing not to be strangers and to be friends? I forgot how to be just your friend,’’ she admitted.
“I don’t know.” He replied to her question honestly, shaking his head. He didn’t know; already he felt himself slipping back into those feelings he had managed to keep down for the past six months. It was just so easy to give into the urge to pull her into his arms and never let ago again; but resisted, instead saying, “It’ll...take a bit. We were friends before we were anything else, we can get back their. Just...baby steps.” Like it was that easy, he thought as he sighed, glancing away from her too familiar face. “I don’t want to loose you completely,” He admitted, “But we can do friendship.”
Maybe…Maybe he was a little drunk. If he was honest, he had been drinking since he woke up; the bottle of vodka he kept for emergencies was already more than halfway gone. He wasn’t even old enough to drink, but the recent calls he had gotten from his sister was a good enough excuse; but now he was feeling the effects. All he could do was stare at his phone screen. If he was feeling like himself he’d almost be worried that he had basically challenged Mike to a fight; instead he sat down on his couch carelessly, taking a long drink of the bottle in his hand as he waited for Mike to show. If he was honest, he didn’t expect the guy to show up; he might consider them good friends, but he didn't expect him to actually care.

‘‘I guess that’s true, yeah,” Marzena agreed with a small nod, seeing as he was right. No matter what had happened in the past, there was no way for them to change it. All they could do is make the best out of the future, seeing as they’d definitely be part of each other’s due to them living next to one another. She slowly loosened up her grip, leaning up to press a featherly-light kiss against his jaw before she began to pull away from him - already knowing that maybe, just maybe, she’s gone a little too far with that. Though she didn’t think about her actions beforehand, it always came afterwards. ‘‘It had to happen at some point, right? There’s some people you just can’t avoid forever.”
It took everything in him not to kiss her. Elliot doesn’t know if it would have made it bad or if it would’ve made it worse; it didn’t matter, because before he could give in to the urge she was pulling away. In a way he was thankful; it gave him time to get his thoughts straight. Nodding his agreement to her statements, he gave Marzena the smallest smile, “I guess I’m lucky that I’m one of those people for you.” Before he lost the urge or thought to much of it, he pressed the barest of kisses to her forehead in return, preparing for a goodbye, “Don’t be a stranger, okay?”
Instead of letting go after Elliot agreed with her, she tightened her grip a little. She wasn’t ready to let go yet. Not only because she had missed the feeling of being this close to him, but also because she was scared of how she’d feel once she’d be back in her apartment. ‘’I am, huh?’’ she chuckled, though it was hallow, without any humor in it. ‘’I guess I just.. After all the fights, I never dealt with it.. And this feels like the start of me not being able to push it away any longer.’’ The confession came out quietly, though she wasn’t sure why the words streamed out of her mouth. Perhaps it was the comfort she still felt around him, or simply the trust that’s always been there. ‘’May sound weird after the past few months, but I’m here for you as well. Always, no matter what time, no matter how small it might be. If there’s something on your mind.. I’m only a knock away. If there’s one thing that won’t change, it’s that.’’
“The only thing we can’t change is the fact that we live a few feet away from each other.” It was meant to be joking, but it felt true at the same time. Things were changing between them; they wouldn’t be in that weird place of ignoring each other, they couldn’t be, not anymore. If he cared about his feelings he would’ve let her go now, gone inside his apartment and try to stop the onslaught of feelings that bubbled to the surface. But he couldn’t, he didn’t want to. He held her close, sighing, “I’m glad you came over...I’m glad we talked.”

Elliot: He's too cute for that
The feeling of Elliot also wrapping his arms around her felt like coming home after being away for months. Which, in a way, she was. She didn’t realize how nervous she had been up until that moment, or how tense she seemed to be before she melted into him. His question caused an airy chuckle to roll over her lips, followed by a small shake of her head, because she shouldn’t. There were feelings coursing through her body that hadn’t been there in so long, there was a yearning for him and just knowing that it wouldn’t be answered was enough for her eyes to start burning. ‘’I shouldn’t, El, and you know it.. God, I’m already close to starting the waterworks, can you imagine how bad that’d get if I’d agree?’’ she questioned quietly, because in all honesty, she did want to take him up on that offer, but she just wasn’t sure if she could risk it.
“I know. I know we shouldn’t.” He agreed quietly, trying his best to keep his voice steady. He had never been the best with keeping his emotions in check, especially around Marzy. He felt too safe and too comfortable with her; he still felt that, even after all this time. It was dangerous, and he knew he couldn’t stay strong for this long, especially since she hand’t pulled away from him yet. “Don’t cry, you’re supposed to be tougher than me.” It came out as teasing, shaking his head, “If you ever want to though, my doors open. I’m here for you Marzy, always.” It was too sincere, he knew; he was playing a dangerous game, letting his walls slip down, but it was almost impossible not to with her.
