i know mermay is over but what's diavolo like in the mer au?
Mermay is over but the suggestions and ideas are not!! I usually don't post Doppio and Diavolo much here, but I actually like to draw them, so here he is!!!
I decided to use the Vampire squid, they are like super cool, but very mysterious in a way too, so it was fun to get out of my comfort zone again to draw that. Those guys are small cephalopod found in the extreme deep sea. They're so cool and there's sooo many cool facts about them, but anyway!!
I'm still testing with the colors lmao. So!! Doppio has those cool looking things that the vampire squid has and all, he has a little filament (that orange line on the right), and a mix of crimson and purple for the color pallet! I tried pink, but i thought that the colors looked too similar and busy, so, yk.
Those little things on his face and shoulders are marine snow! They are acting like the freckles in his original design, but since I have a little pet peeve about people drawing characters with freckles with like.... only freckles on the cheeks exclusively, I tried to give him more, I hope it looks cool enough lol. Those can also be interpreted as the little thing the vampire squids have that make them glow in the dark n stuff!!
For his clothes, those are literally trash again xd. Those plastic fruit sleeve things, covering him and having a similar texture to the original sweater. The thing on his chest are just lines, and those on his hips are just the accessories, yk, the little balls or whatever he has....idk..,,,
THEN!!!! there's the cool thing!!! He can do the "pineapple" posture, basically wrapping his own "arms" around himself lmao, it's so cute!!!! I love them...wtf🕊.... he also has those "spikes", not really spikes, but yo they look cool and scary af. I tried to keep it simple and cuter for my style but search it up to see how they look like irl it's cool.
I also tried to make Diavolo. Still thinking about it but idk looks cool enough ig. I rarely draw him but man... I'll admit that I love to draw his hair in a more messy way, super fun and looks nice af..... he looks so mean tho like cmon bro don't look at me like that😹😹
Without the shading n stuff. Also!! Those things in his arms and body are like marks of rubber tires n stuff, like the trash and stuff was pressing against his body enough to leave those marks, or those are like scars n stuff lol. Looks cool to me!! Reminds me a lot of his tattoos yk

ty!! also, another fun fact!!! Tiger sharks are often referred to as the "garbage cans of the sea" bc those guys will eat virtually anything when they're hungry... and every time I seek more info about those fishes and animals I can only think like "wait... that matches the character a lot wtf"

sadly that means that Tiger Shark will often eat trash by accident, and that's obviously very bad for the poor guys!!! sigh :(

Fun fact about clownfish
Clownfish are sequential hermaphrodite, meaning that basically the female dominant is the leader n stuff, and if she dies the most dominant male will become the new dom female or smth ykyk. Also they click their teeth to show dominance, especially when they're stressed, and since they're underwater the sound can be quite loud apparently.
I like to think that Narancia doesn't know why yet, but his body is reacting to the leader's (Bucciarati) death, now forcing him to eat a ton of food so he can grow stronger and stuff to be the new leader... naturally he gets bigger and very aggressive lmao
The Schreckstoff is strong today
Apparently the Schreckstoff is an alarm substance that warns other animals of danger, but since Bucciarati is a Moorish idol a bony fish, he would warn other fishes, but the cartilaginous fish like rays and sharks (Abbacchio and Mista) would think "mmh o yeah food nearby yummy"
I bet that when Trish returns Mer-Narancia to the sea, either pulls her into ocean(because he might miss her), or she trips and falls into the ocean, either way, she changes into her merform in front of Bruno’s gang.

I usually don't like to post vents or serious posts, but I just needed to express my frustration somehow, bc.... yk this whole age verification thing going on? I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!!!!! SO MUCH!!!!
even tho I'm like, already 18+, trust me I'm NOT verifying shit that requires my fucking face ID; first because I look younger than I really am I'm not trusting a face verification to get my age right based on my face😹😹
But also because?? my ID???? and you will delete the images right after or smth?? yeah right sure sure, whatever you say ig, it's not like big, insane data leaks ever happen right hahaha
And what pisses me off even more is when they say it's to protect children, like, no, you ain't protecting shit. my step mum always give me the biggest side eye when I mention a site needing ID or face photos for verification, and yea, she also doesn't trust this at all, for good reasons.

Some days ago I decided to drink alcohol for like the first time, since everyone my age pretty much can drink and stuff ykyk, so I thought i should try smth just out of curiosity and to see if I like it, and GOD dry red wine is SO SHIT😭😭 omfggggg how tf is my step mum drinking this poison with a poker face sometimes like be so fr💔 it tastes like shit to me tbh, no sugar obviously, and a veerrry dry taste in your mouth, and like, the alcohol made it taste like something I wasn't supposed to drink? Like poison almost lmao
But that's just because I'm an idiot and very sensitive to tastes and alcohol. I tried a very very small amount, alternating with some food and water to make it safer and better to me. At the end I thought I would be giggling or smth, but I felt so quiet??🤨 idk, it had the "opposite" effect you would expect, I felt like I was closer to moksha, nirvana or some shit like that, it was funny. I felt like... so calm yk🥹 like nothing could stress me.
Now I get why some people like to drink, it might taste like shit but god it can feel nice after a while for sure. Alcohol is a depressant so it made me sleepy and nice BUT!!!! Remember!!! If you wanna try it, for the love of god DON'T try a super high amount and don't go drinking a lot!! Wait for the effects!! It takes a while to appear, and it can cause some damage in your liver and body if you ain't careful enough 😤😤 ppl might talk much more about weed, cocaine, heroin and other drugs being very dangerous and bad, but remember that Alcohol can also be very dangerous if you don't know how to drink it correctly!! It can literally kill you!!! So take care my beautiful followers 😤🙄💋
