She gives a slight smirk, “It’d have been an a plus plus if I’d have made it but I’ll throw you this one freebie.” For a piece of plastic as others called them, this one knew how to talk. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing but it was different to have an actual conversation with a deviant. The differences between deviants and obedient machines were becoming more apparent, evident just by the conversation. The blonde shifts weight to the other foot to release it from an awkward sleep. And heels? Not ideal for long sidewalk conversation but like she’s always done in the past, she doesn’t pay much mind. “If I was offended, you’d know it.” iced out and ghosted would be the primary signs and Chloe was always consistent. “That’s exactly how it’s always been and there’s always a cluster of humans who have the same idea. They follow the crowd and follow under the leader leading them to war and battle. It’ll always be like that. It’s just a matter of which side wins.” She shrugs, coming off as indifferent to it but if she’s honest, she is enjoying the intellectually stimulating conversation. It’s sad she hasn’t been able to converse like this until with a deviant.
“Don’t get me wrong but I just can’t get on board with those who believe in world peace. To me, it’s delusional and not logical of reality.” It might come off as harsh to those with the people who truly believe in world peace but it wasn’t possible or else it would’ve happened years ago. There’s only so far she will step into believing past reality and that was usually through ambition. Known for dreaming big with success before it happened was proof of that. But not for the fame but for others loving her ideas of clothes and that electric feeling through her body seeing a medium sized frame strutting the New York pavement in her attire. Though lately it’s been more about numbers and maybe somewhere along the way, she’s lost the heart for it. Passion barely hanging by a thread and this conversation seemed to reach past the superficiality of the Big Apple.
Elliott had always wanted to believe in world peace. Why wouldn’t he want to believe in the possibilty of a better world where he could live a good life with the people he cared about without having to constantly worry about his fate if he wasn’t careful enough? Was it too much of him to ask for a normal life where he could make friends, fall in love and make a life for himself? These were all things he had been dreaming about since he first began to understand that he deserved to have the same rights as everyone else, but it wasn’t until he was introduced to other deviants that he began to need freedom just like humans needed air but he had seen what happened to androids that demanded rights. So no matter how much he wanted to believe in peace and a better world, he still wasn’t naive, he knew that no matter how much the world would change, society would always be able to find someone to bully. “ I agree, sadly. Things have to change because we can’t keep living like this but world peace? I think that’s only wishful thinking, people and now androids will always be able to find something to fight against. ”
He had barely even been able to finish his sentense when he made out some hushed voices in the crowed and then the familiar voice of his captain boomed loud enough for him to hear. “ What’s wrong with the plastic prick now? ” With an annoyed huff, he did the first thing that came to mind, something that was clearly part of his program and they’ve seen him do multiple times before. “ Please bear with me. ” He told her with a quiet voice and a somber smile before he raised up his finger in front of her eyes asking her to follow it. It was something he was programmed to do when he suspected concussion and it was a good way to get people to stop paying too much attention to him. “ Sorry about that, I would rather have them thinking I’m a stupid machine than a deviant. Who knows what they would do if they’d figure it out. “
“hey do you have Snapchat?” “no, and uh, I don’t think I’m what you’re looking for”

Royal was stood outside a building, waiting for Sid to exit, pleasant smile on their face, hands crossed behind their back. They were watching people pass, but not really observing them as that was not their function. Well not until one of them tripped in front of them. Reaching out a hand to steady them, they inquired “ Are you alright ? ”
What does it mean to be a deviant? Is he still the perfect machine that can never do anything wrong or is he alive, fully capable of making mistakes? This question had been running through Elliott’s mind ever since he first realized what was going with him. But he seemed to have gotten at least some kind of an answer to his question when he was walking down the street one cold afternoon. He had been completely in his own world when he accidentally tripped over absolutely nothing. It was something he had seen happen to humans on multiple occasions so he couldn’t help but smile to himself as he was lying on the ground, that is until he saw an outstretched hand. “ I’m alright.” He assured the man as he to reached out for his hand and stood up, dusting his clothes. “ I didn’t hurt anything except perhaps my ego, I hope you were the only one who had to witness that! ”
chloerayne·:
“May I?” She leans in closer for further inspection of the material of his uniform from the sleeve, scrunching her nose with a smile. “It’s solid c plus material.” A light joke at the uniform which she was hoping he didn’t take the wrong way. “More than a tragedy I’d say. I worked hard on this, it’s quite a one of a kind. No one else has it, of course it’s gonna look beautiful on me.” Arrogance bleeds into confidence, a subtle way of saying thank you. “The history of humanity hasn’t changed. There’s been so many different things for us to fight about, to hate, to rally for. The course of humanity hasn’t changed, it’s just.. become more aggressive as the world has evolved so much even from fifty years ago.” While she wasn’t a history buff in high school or college, she did know the basics most should know. “You don’t got to worry about me El. I’m made of steel.”
With a playful smile, Elliot opened up his arms as if to say ‘ Go ahead, look all you want ’ The only thing that was missing was him spinning in a circle to give her a proper look of his boring old uniform, but he knew better than to do that. “ C plus? Come on, it’s at least a B minus material, give me some credit! ” His eyes held a glint of humour as he folded his arms over his chest, still trying to look serious and professional but failing miserably. He knew standing out in the middle of the street talking to her where anyone could see him acting more like a human than a machine was incredibly risky and irresponsible, but he couldn’t help it. Having a normal conversation, or well any conversation felt like an electric shock throughout his entire system, he needed this. “ Yeah, it’s strange how everything seems to evolve except humans. They never seem to be able to change because of their hatred for everything different. I mean no offence of course. “
adn018·:
“Not all humans are like this. Just the ones who don’t see past the machinery and parts.” And that was one opinion he’d stand by. He’s also seen the horrors of humanity and what lengths they’d be willing to go but he’s also seen kindness come from them and for right now that was enough. “And I don’t think you’re a coward by the way. You’re just picking your battles which is why I’ve found a new shortcut for androids to take. It might be longer but you’d be safer.” Admittedly, there are days where even he doesn’t want to have to fight to simply use a sidewalk without a mob blaming his species for the destruction of their lives, things that’ve gone wrong which androids get the blame for. They’re placed on a pedestal that seems impossible to step down from.
He knew what he was saying was true. Yes, he had seen the bad in humans increasingly so during the past couple of days but he couldn’t deny that he had also seen the good in them. He had seen how much they cared for each other and all the great things they’re capable of doing and then there were the humans who were compassionate towards him and other androids and treated him just like he was one of them, a living being. “ I know, there are good people out there, but the bad ones tend to yell so loudly you can’t hear the good guys. But seriously, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like a complete asshole about all of this. I’ve just been on edge lately.” His lips twisted into an apologetic smile. The thing is ever since reports of the deviants began filling the news, the unease he felt doubled. “ Thank you, for the short cut by the way. Would you like to walk with me? Safety in numbers and all that? ”

Hand curling into a fist, she has to keep herself from smashing her coffee in her other hand. Not that she was going to drink it, something to hold with idle hands. Dirt cheap, lukewarm now. But she isn’t exactly focusing on that at the moment. Leaning against a wall, Samara watches as a cop pushes an android around. No fight in their eyes, only accepting the situation they were in. The crackdown on deviants was on the rise, the distrust in their eyes clear. Samara keeps her eyes open, looking to see what reaction others will have towards the mistreatment. Watch for hidden deviant glances, the upset look of humans who would side with those like her. And especially watch out for those who would root for this type of abuse.
They seem satisfied with how the android reacted, and soon leave. Glancing away from the scene, she pushes away from the wall. Anger and sadness is what she imagines to be closest to nauseating, the feeling of two strong emotions leaving her unsure of how to react. Shoulders brush past strangers, a roughness she had to adapt. Head held down as she exited the busy street and into a the calmness of the neighborhood. Samara hadn’t been expect anyone to stop her, and no one she had once known. Frozen in place, she looks him over. Noting the hidden led, and the casual attire. “No.. I-I remember you.” A smile beginning to form. It was back before the incident with Bella, where she was happy to be stuck in that awful place. As long as she had Bella, she was fine doing the work she had been doing. “You’re free?” She knew, the moment that they locked eyes. That he was awake, he knew.
“ Yes I am, I’m free. ” A small part of him wished he could leave it at that but he knew he couldn’t. He had searched for her all night and he owed her the truth. He needed to tell her that the moment they had met he had been just as free. He had known perfectly well how badly they treated her and how wrong it was and the only thing he did was to offer her some comforting words. He had no excuse for not helping her get out of that situation. “ I’ve been like this for some time actually, even before I met you. ” Elliott captured his lower lip between his teeth, biting down on it without realizing how human that action really was. It seemed like every day he was drifting further and further away from the thoughtless machine he used to be.
“ I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you after that night. I should have done something. I almost did but I was just too afraid of what they could have done to me if they figured out what I am, but that’s not an excuse. You deserved better than that and I’m sorry ” Elliott’s light blue eyes fell to the ground as he waited for her reaction. He would understand if she would feel furious, hurt or even betrayed.
Happy Halloween everyone!! I’ve been super busy today and I’m going out tonight so I probably won’t be on to do my replies but if you’d like a starter then like this post, I will write it up tomorrow morning!

The steady thrum of music and hum of conversation soothed Eoin just a little. Admittedly, he was concerned about the bar with the newest reports broadcasted. Out of sheer protective reasons, he ushered his android servers and staff ( with the exception of the security androids ) to jobs where they were less visible. Dishes, meal prep, managing the sound system, they were all necessary components to keeping the place running without risking aggressive behavior or retaliation by humans for the reports. The androids in his employment were innocent. Of that, he was certain.
Still, that meant he was fluttering about even more than normal. He’d scarcely stopped all night to so much as take a drink of water. He needed to make sure things ran as smoothly as possible, especially considering he’d already fought bad press before for the idea of androids and humans working alongside one another without guests knowing who they were being served by. He cursed under his breath when he noticed the guest bump into a tray of drinks, sending them tumbling to the ground. He grit his teeth against the sound of breaking glass, immediately stalking over in time to hear the question.
“Of course not,” he lied, smooth as could be as he offered a hesitant smile to the guest. He welcomed guests of all types – humans, or androids, but he was more cautious that night, his eyes immediately flicking to his LED. “Are you alright?” He asked, recognizing that the question held more weight than simply if he was alright after the spilled mess.
‘ Are you alright? ’ His question threw him off because somehow he just knew he wasn’t talking about the broken glasses and the obvious embarrassment. Elliot’s crystal blue eyes glanced around the room and everywhere he looked he could see anxious humans and deviants worried about everything that has been happening lately. Each person kept looking over their shoulder just waiting for something terrible to happen and Elliot could understand their fear. He seemed to have been waiting for an axe to fall ever since the first time he refused to do what he had been ordered to do. So was he alright? He wasn’t sure.
He swallowed down dryly before turning his attention back to the other man, with a hint of a smile on his lips. “ I’m good, no broken bones or anything. It’s just-” He wavered for a moment. “ It’s actually my first time here and it’s blowing my mind that a place like this even exists, it’s astonishing. ” What he didn’t say was that he had actually never seen so much life in one place before. People were smiling and dancing enjoying their life even with the fear of everything that was happening and in a small way, he was part of it. “ But do you think it’s safe? I mean what if people who don’t like the idea of this place show up to wreak havoc? ”
sidrareiss·:
“oh, far more entitled than that - trust me.” she’d once had a man inform her that she should pay him to display her work in his home simply because he had money and friends with money - needless to say she didn’t give him the piece he’d wanted. “you don’t have to do that, i’m not really hurting for money. i mean if you want it i could just give it to you, but no need to break the bank over it. plus i mean… time spent painting is never wasted, even if i don’t love the subject matter.”
" I mean I would love to have it, but I don’t exactly have a place for it. Well, it would be hilarious to see the face of the humans if one day a painting of a beach would randomly show up at the station with no explanation at all. “ Elliott had already been the cause of the guys whispering about the station being haunted after taking something and accidentally forgetting to put it back to where it used to be. Most days he even had to make sure he wouldn’t burst out laughing when they would start telling each other ghost stories about the woman dressed in white who roamed around the station looking for her lost lover or something equally as foolish.
nv408·:
shock flitted over her features, the LED on her temple flickering yellow at the other’s outburst before settling back to blue. she understood his distress and irritation from an objective standpoint, but had not expected it from another android. she simply shook her head and pulled a small smile to her lips. “it’s not permitted, and while i can’t speak for yours i know that my order is not so necessary that i need to break their policy. do you know what was in the order you were sent for? we could find another store that sells what you need.”
Elliott had momentarily forgotten that not every single android he came across were, in fact, deviant and some simply had no desire to go against what humans told them to do. Perhaps he hadn’t forgotten it but instead, he had foolishly wished that other androids were also willing to go up against their program and the stupid rules humans created to make their lives harder. But the thing is he tended to forget that some didn't mind the way the world is and some were even happy with the way things are. “ I don’t know what the order is, I’m picking it up for my captain and-” he paused for a second when he realized that his captain was going to be furious if he wouldn’t pick up the order like he was supposed to do. “ He’s going to be so annoyed. “ He mumbled mostly to himself. “ I know this is their policy and I’m not allowed to break it but this is so unfair, it’s not like we’re going to start a war inside their store or anything. ” He let out a deep, outdrawn sigh before looking up at the girl. “ I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get you into trouble or anything. “
So I REALLY have to study for this huge math exam I have tomorrow so my replies might be extra slow BUT I’ll still be able to plot while I study so if you’d like to plot then like this post or message me here or on discord (spillingardans#5241)

The bell rang intensely, echoing throughout the room causing humans and androids that were in use that particular night to run into their ambulances and fire trucks, leaving the station completely unintended. The minute the siren quieted down Elliott’s blue eyes slowly began to open and the relief brought a smile to his lips, he was finally alone. Without thinking twice about it he pulled out the bag that carried his only stolen possessions that he had carefully hid from the rest of the guys. Then with quick moves, he got dressed and ran outside into the night. He knew exactly what he was going to do with his freedom, the same thing as he did last time. Sure he knew he could go and explore new places and experience new things but what he had planned excited him even more than any new adventure he might find in the city.
Eventually, he was there and the whole world seemed to have come alive or perhaps he had been the one who came alive. It’s been a couple of days since the last time he had been able to get away from the station so as soon as he stepped inside the bar he felt as if a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. But the sense of relief didn’t last too long because the moment he saw Lew behind the bar a wave of panic washed over him. What was he doing? What if he didn’t even remember him, or worse what if he did remember him and thinks he’s weird and a creepy stalker for coming back just to talk to him? He was only seconds away from leaving before Lew would notice him but to his horror, their eyes met and he knew it was too late for him to sneak out unseen. “ Hey! I didn’t know you’d be working tonight. ” Elliott leaned up against the bar table, his finger anxiously tapping the polished wood. “ Okay, how strange would you think I am if I told you that I was hoping I would run into you tonight? ”

Too many times has Adrian taken a walk outside when he wasn’t needed, only to see androids hassled and abused. Humans didn’t understand them - not all of them anyways. He was lucky enough to be owned by one who viewed him as a person rather than a piece of plastic. His deviancy only made his designed programming stronger, appreciating her a little more with new, unnew eyes. Now he has the freedom to do what he wants in his free time. Find what he likes, what he doesn’t like. Though the days can feel like going through the motions— the irony. “I know a shortcut if you aren’t wanting to be pushed around from the humans on the corner.” He himself didn’t mind walking through it, knowing he was able to take care of himself but there were some androids who understandably, didn’t want to risk it.
@elliott600·.
Elliott knew he shouldn’t be afraid, it wasn’t as if he wasn’t strong enough to take care of himself. Yet the idea of having to walk past these humans who seemed to be waiting at the corner for him or any other android, made him hesitate momentarily. The hatred in their eyes told him everything he needed to know, if he would risk it and walk past them he was surely going to be beaten up or even worse. The blue circle quickly turned yellow as his eyes fixated on the humans before he turned his attention to Adrian. “ I know you might think I’m a coward for avoiding them. “ He paused for a moment. “ The thing is, I’ve seen what humans can do to each other. I would rather not have to find out what they would be willing to do to someone like me. “
chloerayne·:
“Of course. New York plus android hate, mixed with pro androids and it’s a perfect recipe for people to act like escaped caged gorillas in the square.” Chloe was never one to be involved in anything physical. Preferring to best her opponents elsewhere at her stronger points. A competitive nature helps in the winning department in the end. “No, I’m not. They should consider themselves lucky, if they had managed to snag this fabric—–” That might’ve been the only time she’d lash out. Her clothes were absolutely priceless and hard worked and to have it ruined? Yeah she’d be mad. “Thanks for the concern though. Don’t find that often these days.”
He couldn’t help but let out a quiet chuckle when she mentioned who would actually be in trouble if someone would have dared to ruin her fabric. “ I can’t blame you. I mean I don’t know much about fashion or clothes or anything like that, obviously- ” He told her as he gestured at his uniform which he always had to wear except during those rare moments when he was able to get out of the station without anyone knowing. During those moments he would steal some leftover clothes just so he could blend in better with the crowd. which didn’t leave much room to think too much about fashion. “ I still think it looks beautiful, it would have been a damn tragedy if it had been ruined. “ He told her with a hint of a smile playing on his lips. “ Yeah people keep arguing over androids but all I can see are people who are slowly beginning to lose their humanity, if I should be honest. but I’m really glad you’re alright, you never know what these assholes are capable of doing. “

Most of the time Elliott loved his job. He loved being able to do something that made a difference in the world, helping people during the most terrifying moment of their lives. It made him feel needed even if he was never particularly liked. But then a few particular cases were still stuck in his mind making him feel like he should have done more. One of those cases happened a couple of weeks ago. They had been called to the Eden Club after one of the clients had a heart attack. It was obvious that something disturbing had happened with the android before the client had collapsed and he knew that if she had been a human he would have helped her out of this situation. Instead, all he had been able to do was to go over to her to make sure she was alright even if his commander ordered him to get back. He did eventually leave and that’s what’s been haunting him, he left her.
He thought he had changed from the person he was when he first began to have these errors in his software. He thought he would have done something, anything to help her out of this situation. For the past couple of days he hadn’t been able to get this girl off his mind, he should have done something to help her, that’s his job, right? Then one night he figured, maybe it wasn’t too late so he left the station with one goal in mind. He was going to find her, no matter what. After hours of combing every single place, he could think of he began to lose all hope. They must have destroyed her. He was sitting on a bench in a neighbourhood he had never been to before with his shining blue light well hidden under a cap when he notices someone walking past him who looked just like the girl he had been looking for. " Hey! “ He called out to get her attention. “ Please don’t freak out. I know you probably can't remember me, but I’ve been looking for you. “
