Little Wins

I tend to overwhelm myself a lot thinking that everything I need to do on my to-do list needs to happen all at the same exact time. My life isn’t stressful at all, apparently I just make it stressful.

But one of the ways I help to combat my own stress is reminding myself of the things I have already accomplished and to remind myself that certain things can wait until later to get done.

My little win I keep reminding myself of is that I got my taxes done last month and all on my own. My mom has been getting my taxes done for me for the past 13 years, so it felt kind of good to get my big girl pants on to take care of it myself.

It’s been a little rough lately, so just need to keep celebrating and pushing for those little wins to get my big win in the end.

He makes me laugh

I’ve been stressing out like crazy trying to get ready for the tournament at the end of the month. So let’s talk about not that try to relieve some of that stress.

Jasper and I have been dating for almost five months and it’s been quite the ride. I seriously wouldn’t do this with anyone else. Long distance is fckn rough, but he’s so damn worth it. To be treated as an equal and with respect as a human being has been nothing less than short of amazing. I definitely get ansy about moving back home so that we can live out our future together that we talk about almost every day.

It does seem like we’re moving fast. But we’re in our 30′s and being in a long distance relationship, I feel like we’ve almost been forced to have future conversations together. At the end of the day, I want us to be both happy and not wasting each other’s time. And it’s wonderful to know that for the most part we’re on the same page about the goals and achievements we want to reach for our futures.

I still get lonely not having family or close friends up here in the Bay. But just trying to live it out one day at a time and hopefully not overwhelm myself with my own bullshit.

I’m going down memory lane via Notes on Facebook and that shit is rough.

I want to move back home.

I’ve been feeling extra lonely lately and the thing is, I’ve felt lonely the entire time I’ve lived up here.

I have no homebase, no circle of friends, no family. I’m tempted to move back as soon as possible.

But for work and Muay Thai, I’ve had more opportunities here than I have before. I know I will be able to find more when I move back home, but I definitely won’t be making the salary I’m making now. And I feel so fortunate to have the teammates who push me and genuinely care about my training.

But at the end of the day, it’s just me and Stella.
