I think Ada is one of the most realistic characters.

Like I’ve known so many Adas in my life. At school, in the workplace, lit from my phone. I probably was Ada at some point.

It is so wonderful how human she is. She embodies the struggle of good-hearted people who make poor choices out of desperation for a genuine connection.

She tries so hard to be manipulative, believing it's the only way to get what she desires. However, this only attracts people she neither wants nor needs. She yearns to be someone she clearly is not at her core. She wants to be like Annabelle, to have someone or something she is devoted to, and to do anything and everything for. She craves that deep, undying love. In the end, even though she is capable of doing awful things, she is not inherently an evil person.

She’s especially interesting to me because of the classist, old fashioned era she’s from. She wants to be a great lady that others will admire, but it’s really just another way her want for love is manifested.

If you think about it, she really is a people-pleaser of sorts. Ada and Will are two sides of the same coin.

at one hand I'm always for the farewell letters and all that, cuz it makes a good dramatic scene. at the other – it's really stressing me out that there's now a letter where all the tea is written down, and it could be read by the wrong person.
