A few thoughts on how specters give characters opportunities that they could not have had in life due to their environment, circumstances, and personality:

While alive Duke was a famous artist, always in the spotlight of the crowd. After his death he gained the ability to become invisible.

Pluto's luck was always against him in life so after death he brings bad luck to others. He couldn't escape his father? His spectre gave him the ability to move in the blink.

While alive Eulalie failed to fulfill her dream but after death she acquires the ability to embody any fantasy. Her friends abandoned her in favor of their own dreams? Well now Eula uses her chimera powers to absorb other people's dreams.

Berenice spent her life in drunk parties and her fondness for alcohol was blamed for her death. So after Berenice intoxicates her victims with her bites making them act drunk.

While alive Morella couldn't defend what she believed in but after death she has a shield and a sword.

While alive as a servant Ada was always forced to remain silent but after death she has a piercing scream. She did not dare to raise her eyes until asked? Well her spectral gaze is both mesmerizing and terrifying.

Will was nobody in life. After death he can be anything.

While alive Montresor was completely controlled by his mother and church but after death he subjugates others' wills through deals. The church brainwashed him? His spectre can get into people's heads.

While alive Prospero was a hypochondriac doctor. After death he is accompanied by an army of rats, known carriers of disease, and he can cause others to feel ill.

While alive Annabel was forced to get married so after her bride's kiss brings death to the chosen one. She was forbidden to cry in public? Lady in White spreads an aura of longing and loneliness, causing everyone to cry out of despair.

Lenore blamed herself for surviving while Theo died. After death she gains the ability to take the suffering of her loved ones upon herself.

Now that I think about Pluto's bad-luck power and how it intensifies when he’s hurt and how he’s able to control it, it really fits with the fact that he was abused and couldn’t do anything about it back then. Now he has the power to turn that hurt back on the people who hurt him.

Although it's very sad to see how Eulalie`s friends refuse to support her dream, technically she doesn't support their life choices either. If they were such close friends Eula couldn't help but know they had their own careers, families and goals but she obviously thought that all this was frivolous idle nonsense that they would give up as soon as they took the first step towards meeting their ACTUAL dreams. It seems this is exactly how Eulalie`s friends and father treated her own hobbies!

I see a miscommunication here, in which both sides underestimated how serious they were in their words. Eulalie's friends were probably delighted to share with her what was happening in their lives while she was barely listening. However if Eula had dreamed of a paranormal agency for so long she couldn't help but discuss it with her friends all these years. And since she was sure they would like the new office, they never said a clear "no" to her, never indicated they had not been interested in it for a long time. I can easily imagine how they perceived Eula's dreams as meaningless, absent-minded chatter that she would never fulfill. Something so obviously preposterous that there's no point in talking about it out loud.

None of them listened to each other. And it probably went on for years until they found themselves _here_ realizing how much their life priorities had diverged.

It is much easier for us to empathize with Eulalie because firstly we have known her for a long time and these girls are just NPCs, and secondly Eulalie's vulnerability in this situation is highlighted by her socially disapproved interests: while her friends have the support of their families and partners, Eula has to lie to her own father. She is incredibly alone in this matter. But from the perspective of her friends they have jobs, families, one of them is expecting a baby, and then their friend says, "Yeah but how about leaving all this boring stuff behind and helping me open this dubious business? Wouldn't that be great?" No it wouldn't.

Oh what a wicked irony - unintentionally mistreating people the same way they mistreat you because that's the only way you've been taught.

Although I'm still angry that continues in Nevermore. "Eulalie believes in fairies lol," and you're turning into a huge anthropomorphic bat. What makes you think fairies don't exist.

I have to say, after my defense and graduation (yet not stopping at it with higher education), I expected I’d be finally doing more art now, but I guess i'm a little burned out after all of that. Hence maybe it’s time for a series of little doodles like this one here! Feel free to leave some ideas ;p

Anyways. Pluto and Duke bickering over the match. And Pluto proudly winning their fight while Duke is dying from the inside.
