they're    here    to    see    him.    not    fabien,    no    matter    how    much    he    wishes.    his    boss;    who    looks    expensive    reclined    in    his    desk    chair    clad    in    a    dark    suit.    suave    and    sophisticated    compared    to    fabien's    grey    button    up.    he    watches    through    the    glass    wall,    waiting    till    his    boss    leaves    the    room    before    he    rushes    in,    quick    to    grab    a    hold    of    their    wrist.    â    i    thought    you    wanted    to    tell    him    what    happened.    â
Seeing Fabien on her way to visit William wasnât exactly what sheâd planned. Their eyes had met as she crossed the room and headed into her boyfriendâs office to greet him. There was a guilt that lay heavy in the pit of her stomach remembering the feel of his hands on her skin. The moment he left the room, Cheyenneâs wrist was pulled in the other direction. âI do!â She whispered, looking around to make sure no one was watching them. âWould you really like me to do it here where everyone can see? Sorry, baby, I cheated on you with one of your employees. Sounds like itâll go over real well for the both of us.âÂ

Everything was wrong. Dexter Hill was a private man with a very small social circle. He had exactly one close friend outside his family. Emphasis on had. A week ago he lost that friend and was unsure how he was going to cope with that loss. Heâd also lost his freedom - custody of his friendâs infant son was granted to Dexter and a woman he hardly knew, a friend of the childâs mother. Obviously this was the last thing he wanted to deal with, especially given the fact that he had to leave his apartment and move in with the woman and child. Life as he knew it was over.
Dexter had spent the last few days moping around, hardly saying a word to Alyssa. None of this was her fault, but it was easier for Dexter to remain detached. It was the only way he was getting out of bed each day. However, he couldnât remain aloof forever. The baby was crying and had been for awhile, so Dexter thought it was only fair he check in on the pair.
âFew people can. Ever notice how cranky new parents are?â he replied as he entered the room gingerly. Just one look at them made him want to turn around and never look back. But Isaac was the last remaining piece of his best friend, so instead of running he did the exact opposite. Sitting down next to Alyssa, he opened his arms. âCan I try? Maybe he just needs a change of face. Iâd be crying too if I was stuck looking at you all day.â
Dexter walked into the room and she could have praised whoever it was looking down on them. It was clear that she hadnât had much experience with babies before they were both thrown into this crazy new reality. One where her best friend was ripped from her, the only family she had left. Now she was stuck playing mom to an infant that couldnât even speak to tell her what he wanted. Not to mention the man who came along with the package. The two hadnât really gotten to know each other before everything happened but now they shared a small, very needy common ground.Â
Her head tilted, giving him that much. It was a common stereotype that most new parents were out of their mind and sleep deprived for pretty much the entirety of the first year of their childâs life. Alyssa sighed, not liking the fact that she failed in consoling the young boy as she handed him off to Dexter. âThatâs rude and you know it.â She was confident in the way she looked and there was no way he wasnât pulling her leg. Not that she cared what he thought about her anyways.Â
âIâve tried everything but Iâll be honest with you. Iâve never been around a baby like this.â Sheâd run away from her own home at the age of fifteen and had steered clear of anything resembling family since then. âHave you, uh, handled kids before?â They were as good as strangers.Â
Feeling like I wanna do a starter or two maybe? Hit that heart If youâd like one. Specify muse or Iâll probably throw Cheyenne at you
redemptivexheroicsâ:
âWhich is why I aspire to be a better man than my father and when the time comes a better father than he ever was, I would never abandoned my kids or their motherâ He sure as hell had enough motivation to be a better person by default.Â
âFunny, Iâm a bartender to, Iâm only twenty and Iâm already overworked and stressed outâ
Thinking about it, he nodded. âWould love a cupcake actuallyâ
There was something in the way he spoke that let Valerie know he meant every bit of it. She wondered if he was the type to want to settle down since he definitely didnât look like it but that was just from a quick look and a few words. âThatâs so sweet of you. Iâm sure when youâre ready for it thatâll be a fun adventure. And that you wouldnât be like him, for whatever my assurance is worth.â She snapped her fingers and turned to grab him one of the cupcakes sheâd finished up about an hour ago.Â
âAre you serious? Weâre like day and night then, huh?â She flashed him a smile and placed the immaculate cupcake in front of him. âThere. You look like the type to enjoy a simple vanilla bean cupcake.âÂ
@wingsandahaloâ That starter we discussed. You know the one.Â
To say that Alyssa was in over her head was the grossest understatement of the century. It was two am and in her arms was a seven month old infant that was crying out for what she could only assume was itâs mother. Which definitely wasnât her. The little boy in her arms actually belonged to her best friend who passed away in a car crash less than a week ago. There hadnât even been any time to figure out where her own head was. The hospital called her immediately and informed her that she would be sharing custody with another friend of theirs.Â
But now? She was dead tired, sitting in Issacâs small room and holding him close. âI miss her too, buddy. She would have known what you wanted.â Theyâd already tried a bottle and a diaper change. There was a good chance he was just as sad as she was. Footsteps could be heard down the hall and Alyssa looked up. âThis is hard. Who can think enough to take care of another human at two am?âÂ

Dee was tired, between working the fields and at the shop he was ready to have a nap, however his niece was there and he was also looking forward to that as well. Even still he took his time kicking the mud off his boots and removing his coat before going inside.Â
The chatter from the other room made him smile, and the idea of them having one or two of their own made him smile. Stopping in the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, he sagged a couple of cookies before heading into the other room. âWell if it isnât mâ favorite lassâ.â He murmured as he leaned against the wall, watching his soon to be wife and niece.
The sounds of Deagan re-entering the house made her smile even more as she played with their niece. He loved his family and it was undoubtedly that he was about to swoop in here and steal both girls attention without even trying. She looked back over her shoulder to see the man she loved leaning into the wall, his hands full.Â
The little girl on her lap cooed at the sight of her uncle. âKeep telling her that and I might get a little jealous, Dee.â Saraâs voice was soft and playful as she offered him a smile. âWe were just talking about you.â She wasnât sure if heâd heard them or not but it wasnât exactly like it was a secret that she was ready to settle down with the man whoâd stolen her heart.Â
redemptivexheroicsâ:
âItâs fine, I stopped expecting him to pop up after years of being disappointed so Iâm over it, I just want to tell him off for leaving my mom. Itâs a struggle just to help her these days. She got sick so I pick up every shift I can at my job to help pay for her hospital visits and her medicine. Being a CEO of a huge tech company he could spare money for the expenses, I have to believe that thereâs some love still there for her, I donât care how he feels about me, but Iâll be damned if I lose the only parent that gives a damn about meâÂ
He didnât mean to unload that on someone. âSorry, I tend to rant when I get frustratedâÂ
Talk about a crazy world. Never in a million years would she take Malcolm as the type of man to have a family and drop them without a second thought. It only served to reiterate that the versions of people that she saw were just that. Versions that she saw for a short amount of time before they headed off to their lives. âNo, Iâm not judging at all. Iâm like a bartender which basically makes me a discount therapist. Iâm so sorry for what youâre going through. You and your mother. No one deserves that.â Her eyes narrowed as she tried to size him up. âDo you like cupcakes? I donât mean to brag but I make the best in town and maybe one would make you feel a smidge better.âÂ

The air in the garage is stale and heavy, sticking to the back of his throat. The reek of engine fluid mixed with the pungent aroma of cheap aftershave is almost too much for his sensitive nose to bare.
Michael realises he isnât alone.
Fast on his feet, he twists around in every direction, dark curls flying as he tries to see where the other person is hiding.
âI know yer there,â he calls aggressively. "And if itâs money I owe yeh then Iâm afraid yer shit outta luck.â
Claire had happened on the old auto garage entirely by accident. Sheâd pulled over to see if they could point her in the direction of the nearest hotel so that she could crash for the night. Her dead cellphone sitting in the front seat of her car wasnât doing anyone a bit of good.Â
There was movement off to the left so the writer moved in that direction, half to have an excuse to explore and the other half to get some help. The voice wasnât something sheâd expected though. âIf youâre gonna hand out money then Iâm not gonna turn that down.â She answered easily, the man finally coming into view. âYou donât look like youâre the owner of this shithole so care to tell me where the nearest hotel is?â Driving as long as she had sucked.

â    đđđ'đđ đđđ đđđđđđ đđđđđđđđđ đđ đđ.   â   hannela all but whinged at the other, hoping that theyâd drop everything and give her their full focus. she hated having competition for anything. her father had spoilt her rotten from birth and sheâd grown to expect to be the centre of everyoneâs world.     â   come on, what do i have to do for you to put that stupid thing down and come pay attention to me? what was the point in you even coming over if you werenât going to talk to me? i feel like you only want to talk when itâs about my dad. like maybe you should go get him to give you head instead of me since youâre so obsessed with him.   â   huffing childishly, the brunette rolled onto her back and pouted.    â   you donât even like me, do you?   â
By any other means, Max shouldnât have been fucking around with her. There was the fact that he used to work for her father but there was also the giant point that Hannela was pure trouble. His eyes stayed on the screen, all too familiar with the way this game played out. Once he heard the magic words, a crooked smile found itâs way to his lips and he looked at her over the phone. âYou think heâd really hook me up like that? Dude has that blowjob mouth. You know the one.â His eyebrows made a show of moving up and down before he blew out some air at the question. âI like you plenty. Youâre like Tinkerbell, you know that?âHis hand reached out to rest on her thigh, squeezing gently. âWhat has you all worked up?â
hEy gimme a plot where thereâs a single dad who lives alone with his kid in a cheap apartment and heâs reserved and keeps to himself and is pretty shy and thereâs a girl who moves into the apartment across from his and they each have their windows open all the time and she just gets amused watching him interact with his kid and sheâs so amazed by it and they communicate through their windows a lot, looking up every so often and waving or chuckling and making little faces at each other, but never actually talk until thereâs a false fire alarm at three in the morning and theyâre standing out in the cold and she offers his kid her jacket because they at the time thought there was a real fire and he was too worried about getting the two of them outside to think about jackets and it just kind of takes off from theRE !!

plot: McKaylee is the last remaining heir to the kingdomâs throne, who was lost as a child, forgot her life as a royal, and then was raised as an outlaw. Your muse is the prince of a neighboring kingdom, who was betrothed to her when they were children. Now that the king, her birth father, has died, the two of them are supposed to take over. Your muse was told that he could choose someone else from her kingdom to marry and make queen as the princess has been assumed dead for years, but he insisted on looking for her anyway. And then he found her. (medieval verse) open to: males
When theyâd heard that a very wealthy looking man had set up camp in their territory, it was an opportunity that theyâd refused to pass up. McKayleeâs had set into the forest in the dead of night to find him on her own. Sheâd always been independent anyway, and the rest of the little band of thieves that was the only family that sheâd ever known had made no move to stop her. It wasnât like she couldnât handle one very stupid rich man. They all knew that she was plenty capable. In the early morning light, sheâd returned to his camp after scouting it the night before, armored in molded leather and armed with blades and prepared to take everything that he had. Before anything else, she took a few moments to slide on his horseâs bridle. The last thing that she needed was him trying to run off. With a firm grip on the rather beautiful animalâs reigns, she turned at the sound of footsteps snapping twigs and crunching leaves that had fallen during the crisp autumn months. For a moment, she felt confusion. He almost lookedâŠfamiliar. Of course, the answer to that was just that they all looked the same. Once sheâd insisted on that explanation to herself, her expression turned smug. Confident. âDid nobody tell you that this forest is littered with thieves? You must be out of your mind to spend the night hereâŠalone.â
All his life, Aaron had been pointed in the direction he was meant to go, done what was asked of him with not so much as a question. When his father announced the betrothal between him and the princess, they had been but children and knew nothing of what it meant. Shortly after the news, the princess had disappeared without so much as a trace. Aaronâs father initially had doubts that the king hadnât just ferreted his precious daughter but all that went out the window when they witnessed the very real panic her parents demonstrated. It was for that reason that when the time came for the two to marry and take their rightful places he decided it was time to search her out.Â
There were whispers of a band of thieves who lived in these woods and he was hoping that if he made enough noise about going that they would hear about it and he would hardly have to do any searching at all. Not even two days into his journey, a young woman stood with his horse, looking like she owned the damn thing. âAnd who are you to say that Iâm not capable of protecting myself from anything out here? Are your numbers so bleak they had to send the smallest thief they had to attempt to rob me of my earthly belongings?â His lips curved at the corners, shifting his weight onto the other foot as he eyed the woman.Â
multi-musedâ:
She wanted to be a part of something, and she thought that this was the life she thought she wanted to be a part of. âGrow a dick, women arenât prospects. Thatâs just it honey. Women are either married in or born in.â There was no other way. âThe barflies they want to be an olâlady, to marry in is a honour if this is the lifestyle you really want.â Cause there was no out, not a good one anyway. âIâm telling you, you donât want this.â If she knew the real shit that happened, the things heâd done and would continue to do. Sheâd run.
Whether he was trying to be funny or not, Alyssa found herself laughing at his crude suggestion of growing a whole new appendage. That would be the day. âKeep calling me honey and I might start thinking youâre sweet on me.â The last thing she was going to do was become a barfly so that was definitely out of the question. She crossed one leg over the other, still seated on the counter that she had no business being on. âFine, Iâll drop it. But only because I know youâre not going to budge.â Fuck. What reason to stick around was she going to dig up now? âYou really want me gone, huh?â
