The fact that the Church is the Bride of Christ is so well known that I was surprised to discover how little is said in the Bible about Christ’s Bride specifically.
Each festival or party had hidden in its rituals a message—a message about future events. The annual festivals of the Lord celebrated future events.
Time is a function of the solar system in which we live. A day is the length of time the earth takes to rotate on its axis. Hours, minutes and seconds are fractions of a day.
Jesus came and died as the ultimate sacrifice, the Lamb of God, making the temple sacrifices obsolete. God is still looking for men and women after His own heart.
Jesus was the ultimate and final sacrifice for sin, so we don’t have to slaughter an animal in order to commune with God.
Before looking at the Fellowship Offering, take an overview of all the animal sacrifices to see what they have in common and what we can learn from them.
The Old Testament story in Judges 17 gives us an example of syncretism. Studying the story gives us some clues as to how truth & faith can get so distorted.
Many Christ-followers dismiss the Old Testament sacrificial system, particularly the book of Leviticus,as irrelevant today.God is initiated by God Himself.
If man’s fellowship with God were portrayed on a graph, it would look like a rollercoaster. The highest point would be at the beginning.
I highly recommend spending extended time in studying God’s Word; going deeper into the words. The more time you spend in God’s Word, the more you will love it.
Begin your day in the Word of God so that it can influence you throughout the day. Just before you go to sleep, review your day with God.
I do not know what He wants to do or how He wants to do it, but I know that I cannot thwart His purposes—even with wrong motives. What I messed up God can clean up. And He will!
We need to accept by faith that God knows what lifestyle is good for us. We need to remember that God’s blessings are given for living within God’s boundaries.
Faith is a trigger that releases God’s power. The Bible tells two stories demonstrating the power of belief—or of unbelief. The people in both stories amazed Jesus.
Do you have real faith? Is it sufficient for salvation? Can you know? This Personal will explain how to have real, true faith.
