Ten Years, Still Non-Stop

Ten years ago, the lights went up, And history began to rap. A scrappy, hungry orphan son And my feet started to tap... And every theatre kid was sold— We breathed the magic in the air.

Now it’s ten years—TEN!—and my heart Is doing cabinet battle flips, I hum “My Shot” in grocery lines, And air-write lyrics on my lips.

I dream of spinning turntables, And of duels at dawn, Of the Schuyler sisters arm in arm...

sometimes i get worried that if i listen to or watch too much hamilton ill eventually get sick of it but then i remember thayne jasperson has worked in the hamilton cast for 10 years for more than 3000 shows and still isnt planning on leaving anytime soon. to be fair, being in the show is probably vastly different from simply watching it, but i think i can watch hamilton maybe 300 more times and not get tired of it.
