How to Be Confident by Spear Rhett Review

I just recently finished reading this book, one that I personally think is a wonderful guide to helping to boost up your self esteem and confidence and helping to change the way you perceive yourself. Throughout each chapter it gives steps to take to build your way up to feeling confident. There’s questions throughout the book to answer to help you reflect on your thoughts and feelings, and exercises that you can do as well. 

It talks about how media can effect our way of thinking, the way it makes some of us perceive ourselves and how it can effect our confidence. How we shouldn’t focus so much on what others think about us, and the biggest thing that really stood out for me because I do this often is how to replace negative self talk with good self talk instead. That’s just a few of the many topics that you kind find in this book. 

Overall, this book has helped me a lot. It helped me reflect a lot on myself and my feelings, how to set my own boundaries with what I’m comfortable and uncomfortable with, and how to let go of past negative experiences. If you’re looking to boost up your confidence again but feeling lost and not knowing how, you should definitely check out this book!

The Healing Power of Essential Oils by Eric Zielinski, D.C. Book Review

I’ve recently been interested in learning more about essential oils and the different benefits they have. This been has been a great guide, getting me familiar with all of the oils and their benefits. Aside from the many recipes it has, it gives information about what exactly essential oils are and how they are used. 

If you’re new to using essential oils or just wish to learn more about them then I think this is a book you should definitely check out. Throughout the many pages, there’s tons of information on what oils you can use for all sorts of different things whether it’s for aches and pains, anxiety, and so many other things. 

Definitely a great guide to all things regarding Essential Oils!

God Of Tomorrow by Caleb Kaltenbach Book Review

The world is constantly changing day by day, and sometimes not for the better. This book talks some of the different issues faced by society today and how we should approach these things. 

This book refers back to several pieces of scripture, and the author even talks about some of his experiences with people relating to the different topics throughout the book. 

Overall I think that this book is a great read. For many people, the thought of tomorrow can be pretty scary. We don’t know what tomorrow hold’s but throughout these pages, it reminds the reader that we shouldn’t be afraid of tomorrow, and that we should put in our trust in God and instead focus on today, and bring hope to the people around us.

Find Your Brave by Holly Wagner Book Review

Are you facing some tough storms in your life right now? 

There are days for many of us where we may feel like our whole world is falling apart like nothing is going right and that things will never get better. This book that I just finished reading, Find Your Brave, talks about how we should find our brave during those tough storms in our lives, and how we can stand tall through them. 

I’ve learned a lot from this book, and it has helped me a lot with the storms that I’m currently facing. One part of this book really spoke to me and it says this, 

“Together is a big deal to God. We were not created to function at our best in isolation. We were designed to function as a part of something bigger. We find our brave in being part of a team. A family. A community where everybody knows our name.” (Page 19)

We need to learn to put our trust in God through our storms and trials, and this book talks a lot about that.

You Are the Beloved by Henri J.M. Nouwen Review

I recently got the opportunity to get my hands on one of Heni J.M. Nowen’s books, and I’m so happy that I did. I’ve been reading this book each and every day since it arrived and wow many of the topics in it really spoke to me. Each page in this book has a daily meditation for you to read, one for each day of the year. One of the topics that really helped me a lot in this book was the topic of loneliness and how we shouldn’t be avoiding it. 

For anyone looking for a good book filled with daily devotionals, I’d definitely recommend this one. The readings aren’t too long, and should only take a few minutes out of your day to read. Those few minutes of reading could really help make your day better, as it has for me.

My Rad Life by Kate Schatz Book Review

Hi Everyone!

I’m back again with another book review, this one being about the journal, My Rad Life by which is written by Kate Schatz and illustrated by Miriam Klein Stahl. This is a wonderful journal that’s filled with many amazing quotes by many awesome women around the world and many prompts and quotes that allow you to write about yourself and the dreams that you have for your life. 

The illustrations are pretty rad, the book, in my opinion, is put together well. I like that it gives you some prompts and questions to answer in some parts, but it also leaves lots of space to write and draw whatever you wish. 

The quotes in the book are very inspiring, I find myself looking back on a number of the quotes very often. one of them being, 

“You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once. But don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have. History has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” - Michelle Obama

I believe this journal is great for many different age groups. Whether you’re a teenager or an adult this is a great journal to have!

Manga Art by Mark Crilley Review

I recently just finished reading and looking through one of Mark Crilley's book, Manga Art. This book is filled with many different styles and techniques and Mark explains what he used to create each drawing. I did try to do some of the drawing challenges that he has in the book (did not turn out too well, haha) but maybe in the future I'll try them again.

I really enjoyed looking at all the drawings and reading about them. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who's interested in manga art.

If you’re on the road a lot, especially if you’re traveling through different states and are looking for some good places to grab a bite to eat during your journey this is definitely a book that I’d recommend to you. There are so many different food destinations listed in this book, you are sure to find one that is to your liking! 

It includes different places to eat in each state, and it gives you a description of the place, their address, phone number and also how pricey the place is.

Glow VoxBox Review

Hey Everyone!

I am very happy to have gotten the Glow VoxBox complimentary of Influenster in the mail! It was filled was many amazing products, all of which I'm going to tell you a bit about below.  

SinfulColors Desert Divas Collection: I received the shade Super Cooper from the Desert Divas collection to try out and wow am I in love with the color! I really like the shade of green and the flakes that it has. I usually apply two coats of this and it doesn’t chip at all for a few days after applying it. 

Not Your Mother’s Royal Honey & Kalahari Desert Melon Repair + Protect Leave-In Conditioner: This conditioner is a must-have on my list of summer essentials. It leaves my hair feeling so soft, and it has an amazing scent. 

Flash Tattoos: I received the set Nikki, and wow these tats definitely are flashy! I didn’t have too much trouble with applying them, other than for the necklaces. For some reason, I had so much trouble with applying the necklaces but the bracelets and stars were easy to apply. They stayed on for a couple of days. These are great for wearing at parties, and concerts! 

SheaMoisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask and Problem Skin Facial Wash & Scrub: 

- the mud mask had a really nice scent, it didn’t irritate my skin at all while using it and it left my skin feeling so soft!

- I wasn't a big fan of the scrubs scent, it was a bit too much for me but thankfully the scent didn’t linger at all and it faded away soon after using it. It’s a great exfoliating scrub, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and not irritating it at all.

Customized Picture Oreo Cookies Review

I recently got the chance to try out some of the custom made cookies from Veronica’s Treats. These are one of the many different treats that they sell. 

These cookies came placed in individual bags and placed together in cute boxes. They taste so good, each bite is filled with lots of chocolatey goodness. They are sweet and addicting. I give a big thumbs up to the image quality. The pictures on the cookies printed well and are clear. 

They’re great for celebratory events and parties.

Hey everyone! I hope that you all are having a good week. Today I want to talk to you guys about this case that I have been using for the past couple of weeks. This is SaharaCase's iPhone 7 Rose Gold Case. It's a really nice looking case that provides a lot of protection to my phone without making it too bulky. The case has a good grip on the edges with helps keep the phone from slipping out of my hands. The button areas and ports of the case are cut out that way they can all be used with no problems. Aside from the protection it gives, I also really like the color of this case. It goes so nicely with my rose gold iPhone, the color is so pretty. Aside from the case itself, with it also comes with other accessories including a screen protector, an alcohol prep pad, microfiber cloth, dust removal tool and a squeegee. Overall, I really like this case and I would definitely recomend it for everyday use.
