This one is a special one. This was a collaboration on showing my love for my city, my home, by showing the best of what El Paso has to offer. Love will always triumph over hate! This piece was in display at the El Paso Art Association Crossland Gallery in collaboration with fellow artists "Fresh Faces & El Paso Strong" Exhibit on September 2019.

It’s the spooky season and Halloween is just around the corner, but my favorite day is also coming, Dia de los Muertos! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to participate Inktober due to stuff going around, especially that we just moved to a new studio space. But here I would love to throw a throwback on my past artworks, and try to convince my sister to do the same!  

So, here it is, La Lucha LIbre! This piece was made just a bit before the El Paso Comic Convention happened last year in 2019. Wanted to have some sort of identity different from the other art vendors, which worked! I’ve made it as a banner and it came out great!

Back at it again!

When I recently made the decision to make “El Taller Fuentes” as a collaborative studio between my sister and I - I went back to my social media outlets to change everything to the current brand, until it hit me. I haven’t really interactive as much as I should have in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong, I was delighted to see my old work again, back when I started college. How everything I documented had progressed throughout my college years and after graduation. However, I have also noticed how I disintegrated into silence all of the sudden.

Was it because I did not had the time?

Then a thought hit me. Social media had been a great help in exposure in many ways possible. But it’s a lot of work to keep up with it. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and so on. Even I haven’t check out my DeviantArt since 2014! 6 years ago!!! Do people even use DeviantArt now? Even Facebook and Tumblr, I heard, are dying as well. Is it even worth going back?

My biggest question: How can someone manage even one social outlet?

Now that my sister and I established ourselves in a studio within Downtown El Paso, I think it is time for us to come back into blogging again. Just to record all the projects we are working on, share our progress and process, all the events that we go to, just for the fun of it!

So here it goes for coming back to blogging again!
