I would like you to imagine a dog collar... Can you see it? Good. Please understand this is a special kind of collar. it has all the usual things of course, emergency contact number, licenses, immunization records and such. It also has very accurate GPS and cameras, all for safety. It is even AI controlled. Geewhiz that’s exciting!
It does lots of other things as well. It is tied to your bank account, your car, your smart home, your passport, drivers license, health records, insurance information, and even other collars. It tracks so much data that it makes your smart watch look like a friendship bracelet by comparison.
It is also an E-collar. It can shock the wearer into submission, you know, for training. it might also have a small bit of explosive material for when the training fails. Most importantly, there is no way to take it off. In fact, it is illegal to try and take it off. Still with me?
Now I would like you to imagine putting this collar on. I would like you to imagine giving the remote control for it to your worst enemy. Even imagine giving the remote control to your best friend, but understand that the next time your best friend switches jobs, the remote control goes to whoever gets the job next, even if it is your worst enemy.
