The sound of a laugh had him gripping at the utensil, but he wasn't too startled. Working in a quiet atmosphere and becoming wrapped up in his work created such an aura of tranquility. "Oh, I did not expect company. I was simply capturing the landscape – and writing from memory."

Thranduil watched from the corner of his eye as the other man joined him in the bath. The water was quite warm and relaxing, and he gently dipped his fingertip into it and began swirling it around. "It is, isn’t it. A nice way to take a break.” He finally turned toward the other, offering a faint smile.

He watched the way the King's hair seemed to almost shine beneath the water. Strangely, he found it enjoyable to see Thranduil relax and was glad that they could do it together.

"I couldn't think of a better way. The water has many minerals."He mused and idly reached out to slide his fingers through the hair sticking to his back.

Taerion sat himself at the base of a tree, a book in hand and a well of ink nestled securely in the knotted roots of the tree. He was taking a rest, admiring the greenery and tranquility that it offered while he rested, scrawling deftly into that book of his.

Thranduil let his clothing fall off of his shoulders onto the floor, stepping into the large bath. He slowly lowered himself, gazing back only slightly at the other. He was regal and elegant in his motions, and gave the other a signal to join him in the bath. “The water is nice and warm.”

Taerion followed, his own clothes discarded as he slipped into the water after him. Despite how large the bathing pool was, he was glad that they could stay close and intimate even like this."Mmh, it is refreshing." He reached up and soothed a hand through his loose hair. "It would do us well to indulge and soak. These waters do wonders."

Thranduil could feel his mouth vibrate against his forehead with every word he spoke.

“Yes, it does. I will see to it that someone fetches us some candles for this eve.” He placed soft kisses against his forehead as he spoke.

“We may, for the time being. I have little to attend to at the moment. I can focus my attentions towards you now." He was quite proud of himself to have taken care of all of his regular duties for the day, and had little to worry about for now.

"There is no rush. I would not see our company interrupted." For now, this was their moment. He shifted, almost hesitating before he leaned his head on his shoulder.

"I admit to having watched you earlier - while taking a break myself. It was enthralling to watch you work."

Taking a bath together

Taerion’s lips parted as he watched the translucent robe fall from the king’s frame, it’s fine silk fabric seemingly weightless as it pooled at his feet. The water seemed still and undisturbed even as he dipped his foot into its depth. Thranduil was magnificent.
