A Poem For Palestine
It's Invasion Day today so let us remember that Australia today was built on colonialism and stolen land. They saw a land that belonged to the Aboriginal community yet declared 'Terra Nullius'. Remember that we still have a long way to go in reparations towards our Indigenous people.

Loss
Why is life so cruel? All I've ever wanted was too see the world, without any limits or restrictions put on me. But it seems i was born in a generation too late to experience the beauties of the world. I am separated from my ancestors who saw the true glory of the earth in its initial prime state, before it began to decline. Today we only see the devastation that the earth is forced to succumb to at our hands. I will never be able to the glorious mountaintops of the Himalayas or the towering frozen icebergs that would float like magic at the top of the water. The precious, innocent animals, are gone too over half a billion extinct in less than a year, whole ecosystems destroyed, where I will never see these organisms interacting with each other.
Even if i was be to travel to see the world. I am trapped. Trapped with these four walls, like a cage. Locked in, chained by society and driven to the depths of the endless underground, never to impact but just observe. The key to it hidden millions of miles away from me, where i am forced to conform and give into the artificial nature of the new emerging ‘human condition’. My chains withhold me, every action i take cannot be made unless it be approved by corrupt entities i am forced to trust without an opinion. Every beauty of gods creation is withheld from me and others, I can never experience the thrill nature as it is taken wrongfully by someone to claim Gods creation as their possession. Humans are hungry, greedy and lustful and we will continue to do this without restraint. I do wish for change in our nature, but i am afraid it will come about to late.
I weep for the current state of our planet, i weep for its past glory and i weep with sorrow it is yet to face.
And since i am unable to free myself from the confines of reality, i turn to my imagination to wonder and to forget.
Dreams
My own dreams
I have come to the realisation that I as a child had the aspiration to become a warrior. A skillful swordsman who wielded the sword with accuracy and struck the places where death would conspire. A warrior who would fight for glory and attain victory after pursuing its hungering tastes for centuries. A warrior who fought for a cause that would not allow the death of innocents and not a ploy in which the rich would utilise as a way to earn their own riches and solve their quarrels. A warrior fit to serve those who honoured them, who were not corrupt and pursued the good interests of their people. The thrill of a warrior to wield a sword to fight alongside the cavalry, the adrenaline that would course throughout the entirety of my body, the sounds of metal clanging against each other until silence fell with a victorious roar. Shields being held up in formation stopping the pursuit of the enemy from approaching the walls of defeat, fending them off to eradicate the disease they were so eager to spread.
