Delicate hands followed a delighted gasp as the plushie came into his view. A worn-looking navi -- one that might be mistaken for a ghost -- knelt down to look at what he'd just found. Dull white hair framed an ethereal face frozen in time. Eyes that were normally hollow were now lit up with curiosity and amusement as he plucked the little plushie from its bed of beautiful Lycoris Radiata flowers. He knew very well what the flowers symbolized, and it piqued his interest.

"Such a sad flower for such a darling little thing," he mused, letting his bangs shade his eyes as he viewed the little plush's soft hair, ornate clothing, and the ethereal energy wisps that surrounded it.

"But I, too, have lost a dearly loved one," he murmured. His father was, unfortunately, very very human, and that meant that he himself was destined to out-live the brilliant man from the start.

"You can stay with me in my Elysian Fields if you like," he said, cuddling the plushie close to his chest. "My name is X. What's yours?"

The small wisp would shout "Messiah!" as they saw a perplexed X!

"He is our family who is looking out for us!" The small little wisp added! Though gentle footsteps being heard a voice said, "Don't listen to what they are saying... they call me names because of how they see me.. it is Spirit Hikari though that is not my true name either."

It is the same Navi who looks like the plush. Though he would add "My apologies... it seems their favorite toy drifted off somewhere. This place is something I never saw before. Even you as a Navi... never appeared in the graveyard either... I wonder how you arrived here?"

He would smile at him with his hands clapped.

X waited for the mysterious being to finish speaking before rising to his feet with the plushie still in his hands. "How do you do, then, Spirit Hikari?"

His eyes softened as the last name confirmed his suspicions. This one was related to his own creator -- Tadashi Hikari.

X gave a shallow, polite bow. "I would love to hear your story, Spirit. You bear the family name of my creator, Tadashi Hikari. I have heard rumors that his son and grandson may have carried on his vision, but I never imagined I would meet his family one day."

"I doubt you have ever heard of me. My name is X. I am also of the Hikari family."

He held one hand aloft and a digital flower manifested in his hand. It was white iridescent, shimmering rainbow and softly glowing. X extended it to Spirit. "A gift."

"This flower is from my home -- they grow all over, meadows upon meadows of them. They are my precious treasure. Please, I want you to have one."

Spirit would feel a profound sense of peace radiating from the flower if he accepted the gift.

Spirit eyes widen! What a beautiful flower, he accepted the small gift with a bright smile! Though, he would frown about his... story. He would sway left and right softly as to how to drop down the bomb of his origin.

Spirit keeps listening to the small wisp on his shoulder repeating 'Flower! Flower!' as he was thinking about forming his words.

Ultimately, he would answer " I ... was not supposed to even exist. You see.. my host, used to be human but, thanks to a condition, he was made as a Navi to keep living. Sadly the process did not go well.. and we are separated... I am the human part that is deceased. So.... " He would frown as he kept looking at X, his older brother? However, in the end, he would look away.

X listened patiently to the child. If what he was saying was the story he had heard rumors of, this child was...Saito Hikari? Or perhaps just a fragment of him...

X steadied his expression. "Are you by yourself out here? I do believe we are brothers," he said with warm gentleness, " and as such, I do not wish to see you wandering alone."

X sent forth the secret link to reach his home. "This link will take you to Elysium, where I live. You are always welcome there, little Spirit. You will find many souls of departed navis resting there. I do my best to keep them company."

He reached forward and ruffled the child's hair.

im curious if the gaurdians would exist/ how they would react to x.exe and vice versa :o? now this makes me think of what they would look like in this universe.

This is a SUPER OLD ask, I'm so sorry I didn't answer right away!! ;0; I am forgetful!

I would love for the EXE-verse's Guardians to never have to encounter the copy, and have full loyalties towards the Original X.

If we're going with my X.exe lore, I would say that X's reaction to Dr. Light's death would be the catalyst that split his soul into 5 (or 6? huehuehuehue) pieces, leaving him looking ghostly and wearing ragged clothing the way I draw him.

Losing so many piece of himself, and not knowing where they all went, he would retreat to the quietest portions of the web to create his "Elysium" -- an afterlife of sorts for abandoned or deteriorating navis to reside in until they became nothing but drifting data.

If the Guardians were to find him again, now being fully realized persons of their own, it would be marvelous if they would join him in protecting the realm of rest that is Elysium.

Whats your hcs about Zero.EXE?

SUPER SUPER late response, I'm so sorry! ;0; My memory is extra bad, but I love questions!

Zero.exe... I've heard rumor that he was supposed to be the navi of a certain boss figure, and that they scrapped that idea and gave him some other navi instead.

I love that Zero.exe is a wild navi, able to connect to the world through viruses in order to gather information far and wide, and not really belonging to any one person.

To me, Zero is a force. He isn't something to own, capture, tie down or constrain. It's like seeing a beautiful bird in a cramped cage -- it breaks my heart. I want him wild and belonging only to himself. I want him giving loyalty only to whom he chooses, not some Generic Human Dude that isn't smart enough to see how special Zero is -- how he's more than just a tool of destruction.

So...I headcanon that Zero.exe seeks calm, quiet spaces where he can't hear the constant noise of hyperactive kids with their net navis out roaming the net, or the invasive questions he might get from people and navis savvy enough to recognize that something's off about him.

I also headcanon that X.exe exudes the sound of chimes, and Zero likes that sound.

I'll think of more sooner or later, but this seems good for now. :D Thank you for asking!
