SASIN PLS
Rushing Waters - Elysium
[Sasin wasnât sure what else to say anymore. Elysium just kept our right denying it, and it was making it so much worse. Maybe in fact she did forget lying to her that time, or maybe she had forgotten that promise so many years ago. That thought was even worse though, to think something that sheâd take to heart Elysium had forget in a heartbeat.]
[With a shake of her head, she tried to form words, voice cracking as she did,] I donât get it Elysium, I just donât get it anymore, but I guess that doesnât matter does it..?
[Sasin tried to keep a strong face with what she did next. If Elysium didnât care for her that much, she should do that right thing for herself. Removing the red scarf from her neck, she moved towards Elysium before placing it in her hand.] Iâm sorry Elysium, I just canât handle it anymore. You can get your things from the house if you like.. Â I enjoyed our time together, I guess it just didnât matter to you as much me.. Goodbye..
[Even with looking like sheâd burst into tears right then, she turned and began to walk back towards Markarth.]
It took her a moment to realize what Sasin was doing.Â
The scarf.
The one she bought for her.Â
Leaving-- liar-- you did this-- alone-- you're alone-- you did this--
The moment the fabric touched her hand, something in her snapped. Any composure she had at this point suddenly left her and she stopped breathing.Â
As the mer turned around to leave (leave--she'sleaving--LEAVINGLEAVING) Elysium's mind suddenly caught up to her and the world stopped turning. She jolted, dropping the scarf, her body turning back to life. Her blood felt electric running through her veins, her frozen expression turning to one of fire.Â
"You-- no-- you...!" Her throat struggled to keep her from speaking, but her words fought savagely against it. She coughed harshly for a moment, almost sounding like a sob, before breathing in an almost hysteric manner. "Enjoyed our time together? You-- you're the liar here! You're the liar!" she pointed accusingly at Sasin, body shaking.Â
The nord let out a harsh growl, kicking the fallen scarf in a fit of rage. She looked around in a panic, hands cradling her head as if in pain.Â
After a dazed moment of frantically looking around, walking back and forth in a half-circle, arms failing to keep still, she seemed to come back to herself. She stopped, looked back at Sasin, still hysteric.Â
The ring on her finger glimmered in the moonlight as Elysium contemptuously took it off, clutching it tightly. Voice breaking, she screamed,Â
"I wish I'd never met you!"
Tears began to fall almost instantly, before she turned to her side and threw the piece of jewelry as far as she could down the river. Without hesitation she ran, cutting through the forest, never looking back.

Rushing Waters - Elysium
[A bitter laugh came from Sasin as Elysium tried to play that card. Really? Sheâd try this after so long? When she knew she could see right through all this? Sasin just shook her head before clenching her teeth together, trying to stop her from lashing out.]
Elysium, you know very well what you lied about. Iâm not ignorant anymore, I recall most of my life. I recall that certain night before we were split and your promise. [She turned her look at her friend, arms now spread to the side.]
Yet here we are again, you lying right to my face acting like you did nothing wrong. Â It makes me begin to wonder how much I really matter to you Elysium. [She took a step forward,] Stop lying to me and tell me the damn truth Elysium.
The corners of her mouth finally gave up under the invisible weight, dropping into a frown. Everything else about Elysium at this moment was eerily still, almost frozen in place.Â
The hurt in Sasin's voice made her limbs ache to reach out for Sasin-- to give up, surrender to her only friend, apologize, beg her not to leave--
And for the rest of her life, she will wish she had.Â
"Sasin, what are you talking about? What did I say to you?" her voice was climbing now, sharp and steadily growing louder towards the end.Â
She was being backed into a corner, and she knew it.Â
A throbbing pain stung the back of her throat as she realized just how much she was hurting the other girl, but it was too late.Â
Elysium held her ground as the world around her spun out of control.Â
Rushing Waters - Elysium
[At first, she just stood there, unsure if she should truly ask, but she already said they needed to talk so the aftermath if she said forget it would be worse. She needed to know, and this was killing her enough, more than when she thought Elysium was dead. She stopped herself from moving towards her friend, ignoring all the warning this wouldnât end well and looked towards the river slightly.]
Tell me- Why. Why did you lie to me the day I found you in Riften? Why lie after so long of finally seeing me? You told me you wouldnât lie to me anymore not long before we were split up long ago-
So why- [Her voice cracked, the lying she could handle to a point, but still it felt like Elysium was just.. Using her- But for what? Fun? games? The mere thought of that made her clench her hands tightly.]
Oh no.
Oh no.
Oh no no no no no--
El's blonde head slowly rose until her wide eyes met those of her friends-- this was not happening. Not yet.
The smile she so effortlessly slipped on every day suddenly felt heavy as the corners of her mouth twitched.Â
Nonononono--
"Ah... haha, lied to you? Sasin, I know I joke with you sometimes, but..." her voice suddenly caught, but Elysium refused to look away, staring almost as if looking at something a million miles away -- anything but at Sasin herself.Â
Her voice is the only thing she can keep cool now, slipping back into it easily,
"What did I lie to you about in Riften?" the usual laughter in her voice sounded so empty, even she had to draw her lips into a firm line to keep herself from flinching.Â
Rushing Waters - Elysium
[Sasin tried to giggle slightly at her friendâs remark about Markarth and it being a âcoincidenceâ. She knew Elysium was free to go wherever she wanted and for how long, but the last few times it just seemed like- She wasnât sure, just something was off here. Moreover, this wasnât helping her.]
Well given you live there with me, I donât see why you would after so long. [A smile, but it was clear it wasnât a happy one, in fact she was sure Elysium could tell she wasnât happy. Given the circumstance though, she was sure Elysium would know why afterwards. Unsure how to continue right then, she swallowed a bit before she fidgeted here and there. It was now or never, and if she didnât bring it up, she knew sheâd regret it.]
Elysium, thereâs something I want to talk to you about. And itâs very important so I just.. I need you to be completely honest with me during this conversation alright? [She looked her fried dead in the eye, knowing full well that Elysium lied on many occasions.]
Elysium tried to ignore the sad undercurrent of the Mer's voice and the obvious implications of her words, but the false sense of optimism was crushed as soon as the last words left her friends mouth.
Elysium could feel her stomach turn and fill with that searing hot, sour panic as she tried to respond,
"Of course Sasin, tell me what troubles you?" her amiable tone now sounded hallow.Â
She tightened her fist around her satchel strap in a feeble attempt to steady herself -- the situation -- her life-- the world -- everything seemed shaky in her mind.Â
Nothing about this was going to be good, she knew.Â
Rushing Waters - Elysium
[Sasin had been sitting at one of the little bridges in thought as she idly bit at her thumbnail. A certain thought, a memory more so that had been a little upsetting to her, along with a few certain words from a certain person. However, Sasin wasnât sure how to bring the topic up with Elysium, or for the matter of fact, where the woman was. It had been a good while since she had seen her, and she really wanted answers. Decided against her better judgment, the mer rose from the little bridge before she made her way out the gates, down the path past the farms and turned on the path towards Solitude. She needed to find Elysium, so any place was better than not looking at all. Sasin was rather amazed to find her friend making her way down the path she had chosen. She didnât like the idea maybe they were meant to have this talk, but it was possibleâŚ]
Elysium! [Sasin called out as she waved a hand to her friend. She wouldnât enjoy this at all.]
She hadn't meant to stay away for so long. And, truly, she wasn't sure why she did.Â
She wasn't sure why she did a lot of things anymore.Â
In the end, she decided like most things that she did not want to dwell on it and instead, forced herself to make the way back to Markarth. Her wanderings had taken her over halfway to Solitude, and sadly, that meant she had the entire trip back to soak in her guilt.Â
She hadn't exactly told Sasin about her sudden vacation.Â
The Nord sighed upon realizing she was but a half hour away from her destination, deliberately slowing her pace to put off the inevitable, and willing the nearby stream to calm her nerves.Â
Within moments she was swept away in her own thoughts of what she would say and wondering how things had taken such a wrong turn. The sudden calling of her name down the previously quiet path nearly shocked her with surprise.Â
Only cruel Irony would have it that Sasin would be the one to find her.
She was sure her expression was one of a deer caught in the cross-hairs, but the woman was able to compose herself only a moment after.
"A-ah! Sasin-- my friend!" she called back, stretching her arms out wide in a perhaps too excited greeting, "What a coincidence, I was just on my way to Markarth."Â

((Ok, not doing anon because I'm lazy. I haven't RPed with your character any, but I've read her bio. The one thing I would suggest, and you don't by any means have to follow this, is to make sure and let her develop. Emphasis on flaws and issues isn't a bad thing, as long as there's development with those flaws. Not saying you're doing anything wrong, just something to think about.))
{Thank you for the critique! I've been thinking of different ways to do this myself, but Sasin!Mun and I have most of the thread ideas that show this (since El's backstory relies heavily on Sasin) but you're right, I should show it in more ways than that... For some reason I've also been afraid of shoving it in people's faces but I should get over that -w-; I'll be keeping that in mind in future replies!}

Haaki looked up from his bottle of mead. It was untouched as yet, although he had been staring over it at the top of the bar for some time, and until he saw the stranger he was frowning.
That was replaced with a smile when he looked up, along with a short, friendly nod.
âWarmth, miss. That and a drink.â
"Oh? You are not the first person here to say the exact thing! I do hope it's not as dull here as you all make it seem! Aha--" she chuckled. There was a short pause before she continued.Â
"Although, are you sure that is all you are here for? You have been here for quite some time and you have had the same drink since. Not to your liking, is it?"Â
ಠ___ŕ˛
... Ah, hello!
Sigyn downed another without even trying. âThen lets begin.â She said with a grin. The Dunmerâs smile was cheshire as she placed a large amount of coin on the table. âKeep! Let the drinks flow until one of us cannot hold!â
After a few rounds, Elysium still refused to lose, downing each glass easily and her signature, ever-present smile never faltering Every now and again others would give a supporting cheer to the two women.Â
"It has been a while since I've had a good drinking companion. Make sure not to disappoint, yes?"Â
Normally she wasn't so cocky, competition seemed to change things.Â
A Gift
[Sasin raised an eyebrow slightly when the inns were mentioned. It didnât seem El had gotten drunk enough for anyone to come notify Sasin, but still. She leaned back onto the edge of the bedâs frame and brought one leg up, hugging it somewhat while she listened.] You know I donât mind you going just.. Donât come crying to me when youâre drunk off your arse. [She tilted her head a little when asked about herself.]
Iâve been fine. Getting into the swing of dancing again so it shouldnât be much longer until Iâm all right with performing in front of others.
The Nord tilted her head and made a humming sound, "Yes, well, I do try to keep my self in order as to not cause you trouble, you know!" -- Other than those accidental bar fights and maybe a drinking game or two. Or three. And she definitely didn't convince half the town she was staying in to get piss drunk that one time and accidentally nearly caused a riot.Â
...
Well, no one was perfect.Â
El gave a nostalgic smile, "Dancing, hm? Ah, it has been such a long time since I have seen you dance... I remember it well. Heh, those were fun times."
Headcanon #2
The real reason El wants to learn Destruction magic so badly, is because as a child she had a phobia of fire. After she left Riften and time went by, it became less obvious and she learned to manage it as well as, to a point, ignore it. None the less, she still has the subconscious need to control destructive forces like fire-- but her past experiences may also be the reason why she seems to have a block when it comes to learning it.
She's yet to find an actual teacher so far.Â
