I’m looking into options, but it seems I am going to have to close my shop to orders from the US because of the new laws about shipping from Canada.

Unfortunately this may mean I have to close my shop completely. Without orders from the US I will not be able to make enough sales to fund my Shopify subscription.

I hope I’ll be able to figure something out but right now it’s not looking good.

I put my heart into this album. It’s truly some of my best work to this day across all artist mediums. It includes imagery of science fiction, with lots of beeps and boops, as well as themes of my experience as a disabled artist. The songs were made through a time where I have been heavily restricted by my disabilities, and the lyrics reflect the frustration, the loneliness, and the longing that comes along with missing out on your life.

Doing some intense research for my next big project (reading through a blog’s chronological list of articles for crowdfunding advice.)

I’m only part way through the section for “building an audience”, but I’ve got some thoughts I want to hear what you guys have to think about

This blog recommends lots of things, including writing your own blog, as well as doing youtube videos. I’m thinking about the options I have now for continuing to grow the following for my art, and feeling uncertain which direction I should be taking things.

In the past, TikTok and Tumblr have been my top 2 sources of traffic for my work. I’m definitely going to continue posting on both— But I think I need to find a specific place to focus my energy. If I am to make any high effort content related to my art, I need to decide which format I want to make it in, and stick to that.

I could start posting on YouTube with videos about my art, process, talking about my work, etc. But I’ve never really done that before. I could do the same with Tiktok, but I find TikTok to be less forgiving of “unengaging” videos.

I could also use my Tumblr like more of a proper blog, or make my own blog on my shop website. I worry that nobody would read the blog on my website, so I’d most likely stay here. I’m quite bad at treating Tumblr as a non-casual space however— my main account is attached to this one, which is… Very, very casual.

What do you think? How do you prefer to consume long-form/more high value type content? Would you be interested in more in depth posts about what I do and my life at all? I’m pondering. Pondering so hard.

Btw… I’m now prepping a new coin purse project! It’s not fish this time— there will be more fish in the future, but I had some great ideas for some fantasy themed designs :)

It’s most likely going to be a kickstarter campaign, rather than preorders, which is fun but also more ambitious. I hope you guys will be able to support the project!!
