It rained yesterday so my plants are quite pleased!
This my friends is a Yellow Onion! It's about the size of a Golf ball right now!
This is the white onion I planted next to it. It's much smaller but more potent when you pick it.
TEARS TEARS TEARS! THE SMALL WHITE ONES MAKE YOU CRY SO MUCH WORSE!
Also, The garlic is doing so well!!
The cloves have started forming and it's half the size of a full store bought clove.
I've been seeking out and picking a couple of these every few days for soups and such. Though they are only halfway grown they are delicious!!
POTATOES
Let me take you in closer
THAT MY FRIENDS IS A RUSSET POTATOE!!!
It's so small and cute!!!
The red pontiac are much smaller! Like a lil red pea.
The Yukon Gold are going nuts! So many pea-sized potatoes!
I am beyond pleased!! My hard work is paying off!! TTuTT
Look what sprung up in the weed patch! I didn't even seed this! Just goes to show how dedicated plants can be!
Well.. The heat was finally too much! You did well my darlings!!
They didn't get too big, but they were still delicious!! Good bye Brocoli amd Cauliflower, hello Pepers and Tomatoes!
I'll definitely be planting more towards the end of summer so I can get a bigger harvest!
on growing ada limón, trying // florence + the machine, south london forever // felicia chiao // phoebe bridgers, garden song // ada limón, the burying beetle // shinsyl, "an afternoon in the garden" // edvan munch // ada limón, sparrow what did you say? // mary oliver, letter to _____. // amandina catrala
I needed some new garden beds back in April... So over the course of two weeks I worked on this before work every day. Maybe 2 hrs each day in the morning before the sun started beating down too much.
The soil is turned over... Time to do a border around each box.
Now the stone is down!!! Muhahaha time to plant and mulch!!
So I tossed some potao, onions, and garlic in the beds and covered with straw mulch! I didn't add any soil! I just tuned over what was already there.
Total cost was $14 for straw, and about 28 hrs of work
Over time I'm going to replace the random rocks with proper stones, but this way I don't have to wait!
Guess who got an incredible deal on Chrysanthemums!!!
They were puting them out on sale after Memorial day!! Instead of $12 a piece they were $1 each!
Yes!! This is year 2 on the asparagus!! It's coming up fine!!!!
9" long!! The first one was so good! I just ate it raw! Tasted like a sugar snap pea!! And there are more along the way!! Muhahahah!!
My first time planting Brocoli and cauliflower!! They look so good!! Unfortunately the summer heat is checking in.... These maybe have two weeks left before the heat forces my hand. All well!! The fall harvest will be much bigger!!
