the irony of saying to yourself “I can’t do it unless is perfect and beyond any reproach or else I’ll be a fraud at this thing I love doing”, while you go on believing that is a realistic expectation to have…and then feeling miserable you can’t actually achieve that perfect standard you have set 😵‍💫

it is better to get things done than it is to wait for it to be perfect

imposter syndrome is being like “sure someone can totally do something ordinary, what matters is that they got it done, that they’re fulfilled, that they are putting themselves out there, that they’re doing something you wish you could do. but you??? you can’t do that, because everyone can be mid except you, you have to do things perfectly, of course!

it must be beyond reproach, or else you are a fraud at this thing you enjoy doing. your demands can become so high they are impossible to achieve, because you convinced yourself you might spontaneously combust if you don’t do things perfectly.

but at the end of the day no one is judging you as harshly as you are judging yourself, and if they do, they’re assholes whose opinions don’t truly matter. you don’t have to be great. you can be ordinary, if it means you get it done, if it makes you happy to do whatever it is you have been waiting to do but pulled off because it needed to be perfected

A while ago I hosted a poll of various TADC related things I wanted to draw, and what you guys wanted to see next. I did not expect a short, informational, comic involving Theater Etiquette to come in 2nd place. So here it is!!

This was meant to be simple, but, as expected, I went waaaay overboard lol. I'm actually super happy with how it turned out! has anyone noticed that after the porn ban of 2018 tumblr was essentially killed from the mainstream and everyone flocked to other social media sites like twitter and meta. then those sites got enshittified to where twitter became Nazi Central and meta sites had an entire meme around getting “zucced” aka mark zuckerberg himself would ban you for saying a no-no word like fuck. and then the mainstream shifted to tiktok where infamous toddlerspeak sentences like “he got unalived by a pew pew” were born because if you once again say a no-no word like kill or gun or any other word that isn’t corporate i mean kid friendly then the algorithm will bury your post into the ground. and somehow we’ve come full circle and tumblr is now the most bearable social media site because although we can’t have female presenting nipples we can at least talk to each other like adults. has anyone noticed that at all or is it just me and the flaming skull
