Erfan Esfandiari, executed by the regime in Iran. His face blue and purple from lack of oxygen. No words.

The systematic extermination of the Jews began, not with gas, but with the “Holocaust by Bullets” via mobile death squads called Einsatzgruppen that followed the German army into the Soviet Union. And the Allies knew about it from minute one.
On June 22, 1941, Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa and invaded the USSR. Five days earlier, Reinhard Heydrich briefed the commanders of the Einsatzgruppen on their mission: follow the Wehrmacht and murder every Jew they could find.
In village after village and town after town, they dragged Jews from their homes, marched them to pits or ravines, forced them to dig their own graves, and shot them. Men first.
Then, from August 1941 onward, all women, children, and even infants too.
Local antisemites, particularly from Lithuania, Ukraine and Latvia, often enthusiastically collaborated and even joined in on the mass slaughter of the Jews.
And the level of bloodthirsty butchery was truly savage.
Babies were torn from mothers’ arms and shot or smashed against trees. Entire families were machine-gunned into ditches. Jews were forced to watch their loved ones die before their own turn came. Germans experimented with lining Jews up two, three, four Jews at a time and trying to shoot them all through the neck with a single bullet. It was sick sport.
Nothing about the Einsatzgruppen’s “mission” was “war." This was industrialized extermination with pistols, shovels, and some of the most sadistic mass human behavior ever recorded.
By the end of 1941, the Einsatzgruppen had murdered more than 1 million Jews.
By December of 1941, the Nazis began their first large-scale gassings using mobile gas vans at Chelmno, the first extermination camp. More death camps followed with Belzec (March 1942), Auschwitz II (March 1942) Sobibor (May 1942), and Treblinka (July 1942).
But the Einsatzgruppen kept on killing. Gassing would become the main method of extermination by the Summer of 1942.
Current estimates (especially following the groundbreaking work of Father Patrick Desbois’ Yahad-In Unum project) place the total number of Jews murdered just by the Einsatzgrupppen by war’s end at between 1.5-2 million.
Now, here's the part almost no one talks about: the Allies knew about the extermination campaign against the Jews almost immediately.
British codebreakers at Bletchley Park were reading the Germans’ own radio traffic in real time, and the Einsatzgruppen and Order Police sent daily tallies back to Berlin that included the exact numbers of Jews shot in specific towns and villages (the recordings got sloppier as time went on with some going unreported - especially those carried out by local collaborators instead of Germans).
Every detailed report sent back to Berlin was intercepted and deciphered by the British within days, and sometimes within mere hours, of the mass killings.
That’s right. The Allies had precise, irrefutable intelligence on the “Holocaust by Bullets” from the very first days of the invasion in June of 1941.
And yet, the Allies refused to name what the Germans were doing publicly. They buried the reports. They spoke only in vague terms about “atrocities” or “Nazi brutality.” They never highlighted that this was a deliberate campaign to exterminate the Jewish people. The Allies knew their efforts could lose support if it was seen as a “Jewish war.”
And so, there was no public declaration, there were no urgent warnings to Jewish communities, and there were no serious efforts to reverse the illegal White Paper of 1939 that closed British Mandate Palestine to further Jewish immigration.
The horror was known to the Allies and was deliberately downplayed.
Why? The answer was always the same: saving the Jews wasn’t a “military priority,” only "winning the war" was a military priority.
Regardless, it is historical fact that the systematic murder of Jews began in June 1941, and the free world looked away.
So, Jews take it seriously when people and groups and countries threaten to and try to once again annihilate us. And now that we are a sovereign people again, we don’t have to rely on foreign codebreakers, foreign politicians, and foreign generals to decide whether we live or die. Now, we like having friends, but we ultimately defend ourselves.

25 years ago today, March 26, 2001, a Palestinian sniper deliberately put a baby in his crosshairs and pulled the trigger.
Ten-month-old Shalhevet Pass was in her stroller near a public playground when the sniper’s bullet struck her tiny head, killing her instantly.
When her father, Yitzhak, tried to shield his daughter's body, the sniper fired two more times and wounded him in both legs.
This terrorist specifically chose a Jewish infant as his target.
This was pure, premeditated brutality - the kind Palestinian terrorists have shown again and again by targeting children and even babies in strollers, playgrounds, and bedrooms. It wasn’t collateral damage. It was the point.
The timing made it even more grotesque. Just months earlier, at Camp David, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered Yasser Arafat a Palestinian state with a capital in East Jerusalem; Arafat walked away without a counteroffer, ignited the Second Intifada, and unleashed a wave of terror that included this monstrous act.
The murder of Shalhevet Pass shook Israeli society to its core. An innocent baby in diapers, executed in broad daylight in front of her parents. Memorial candles blanketed the neighborhood. Her mother clung to her daughter’s lifeless body for hours.
Making matters even worse, the killer was Mahmud Amru, a member of Tanzim - the armed militia that reports directly to Fatah, the party founded by Arafat and still led today by Mahmoud Abbas. This wasn’t Hamas. This was the “moderate” Palestinian leadership’s own terrorist arm.
And here’s the part that exposes the moral rot at the heart of the Palestinian Authority: under its official “pay for slay” policy, the PA has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars — likely half a million or more over two decades — in monthly salaries and benefits to Amru for murdering a Jewish baby. The more Jews you kill, the bigger the reward. It’s not welfare. It’s blood money, paid straight from the PA budget, incentivizing exactly this kind of savagery.
Shalhevet Pass was not a “settler” or a “soldier.” She was a baby. Her only “crime” was being Jewish in the Jewish homeland. Twenty-five years later, the same PA that glorifies her murderer still runs the same system, still funds the same hatred, and still pretends to want peace.

MEET AN UNKNOWN ISRAELI HERO His name is Ido. He lives in a building that doesn’t have safe rooms or a bomb shelter. When there is a siren everyone in his neighborhood goes to the shelter of the local school. An elderly woman lives next door to Ido. And every time there is a siren he takes her downstairs and wheels her to the shelter in the school. Including all hours of the night. And if Ido leaves home he makes sure that someone else will take care of her during an attack. Thank you Ido. For your kindness and your inspiration.

A 16-year-old Jewish teen was attacked while returning from yeshiva on a central street in Antwerp on Friday. Members of the volunteer Jewish security group Shomrim detained the attacker and handed him over to police for questioning. Authorities confirmed the suspect is known to them.
The attack is part of an alarming surge in antisemitic violence in Belgium, with at least eight assaults against Jews recorded in Antwerp in recent weeks, four of them targeting children. Shomrim reports the incidents have increased dramatically since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israeli operations against the Iranian regime. The heightened threat comes after an explosion outside a synagogue in Liege last week, which the mayor described as "criminal and antisemitic." Jewish security patrols have been stepped up across Antwerp's ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods as community leaders call on authorities to increase protection before a potential tragedy occurs.
Thank you! Refuah Shelemah.
There are no "two sides" to the image of a kidnapped 12-year-old child. Yagil Yaakov was stolen from his home on October 7th. His father was murdered. Before the world’s eyes, this boy was stripped, paraded, and subjected to psychological and physical abuse—all filmed and broadcast by his captors as a trophy of their "glory." When the wife of a New York City mayoral candidate "likes" or celebrates this image, we aren't just looking at a political disagreement. We are looking at a profound moral rot. To celebrate this is to celebrate the terrorizing of children. To call this "resistance" is to justify the systematic rape and torture of Jewish women. To double down is to tell every parent in this city that their child’s safety is secondary to a hateful ideology. How can someone seek to lead a city as diverse and vibrant as New York when those closest to them find joy in the snapshots of a child’s living nightmare? This isn't activism. It is the endorsement of depravity. NYC deserves better than leaders who remain silent while their inner circle applauds the darkest acts of human history. We cannot let "resistance" become a synonym for the exploitation and execution of the innocent.
