So my business cards came in yesterday. Feel free to check out my website emilynorry.com. It’s still a work in progress but most of it is together.

A pair of works in progress
Further progress on my watercolour figure. This is my first time using watercolour ground on wood. I absolutely love it. More photos to come.
I inked one of those sketches as further practice.
Here are the photos of me and my art at the Fake Geek Girls Like Us pop up event in Toronto at the Annex Art Centre this past Friday. It was awesome to see my art in a gallery space and the event was fantastic.
Check out fakegeekgirlslikeus for more awesome art and female nerd culture stuff.
Now lightly shaded. Maybe I’ll ink them.
Sketches of myself. May play with these more.
Another life drawing.
This was one of my favourite sessions. Our model was this lovely trans man, and he was sitting nude in this chair embroidering a unicorn while a skeleton hung next to him. It was absolutely lovely.
Life drawings.
I’ve never uploaded many of the nudes and figures I’ve done’ I quite like many of them. Here you go.
Here’s a poster series I made about the art history and how poorly handled it can be. This references a particularly awful class I have. Art history should be diverse and should talk about artists’ identities and world views, always.
A diptych of Julie D’Aubigny, the most bad ass bisexual swords woman and opera singer ever.
Also I totally doodled Xena and Gabrielle last night because they are the loveliest of bisexual girlfriends.
Had my final critique for my gauntlet. In the end the inside straps were lacey and delicate and there wasn’t any traditionally feminine details on the outside. I’m proud of it.
Some details of my gauntlet.
Here’s a video of my now fully functional gauntlet. Just going to add some details.
