Nerina, the cat of the Colosseum, is dead. She arrived at the Flavian Amphitheatre when she was just a kitten and she spent the past decade protecting the place from mice, birds and the tourists who tried to pet her. She had been nicknamed “the last panther of the Colosseum” because of her black fur and fierce temperament.
