Nothing inspires homesickness like your sister telling you SHE IS HAVING A BABY!!!! I immediately started making plans to go back east. Whoa big news. I could not be happier for them if I tried. Snugly little baby in six months!

A Snow Day Report

I'd really love to take H out in the snow again, but seriously, wrangling him into his clothes was almost as taxing as carrying him uphill in the snow.

I've eaten too many cookies already. Thanks, new job and lack of customers due to snow. There were So Many Cookies Leftover at the end of the day, I could hardly throw them in the trash.

Really praying that the Thai food place, that is one of only three restaurants within walking distance (read: snow walking distance), to our house is open tonight. Saturday is my shopping day and we still can't drive anywhere...so its Thai food or beans and rice...which is fine. But, I'd really like Thai food.

Our internet keeps going out. Its frustrating because I am bored and tired and well...the internets are my friend.

We (C & I) took a "nap" (read: closed our eyes) in the living room and Henry ran amok. We awoke to every toy, everywhere. It was worth it. Felt so good to sleep for a minute without a small child pulling my hair or sticking his fingers up my nose.

Tonight, I do believe there will be beer.

I am supposed to be starting a load of laundry, but all I can do is sit here on the couch and take pictures of myself being exhausted.

Post Script - I did the damn laundry. Cause guilt will kick exhaustions behind four out of five times.

A week that was a week that was the longest, ever.

A child who slept in his own bed, not one time. I need a rescue babysitter to come and swoop in and send Chris and I on a date.

Oh, wait, Portland is COVERED in snow and the three snow plows that are apparently owned by the city have not once crossed our street.

There is no on top of all this…just tired and sleep and yoga pants and tomorrow I will play in the snow, as opposed to just trudging through it whilst mumbling curses under my breath.
