RokuShi Week 2026: Day 6 - Travel

ao3 link Congratulations it's a- circus au?? preview: He’d buttered it up with the potential for a storyline, one that would require no acting on his or Xion’s part. He would introduce her as his sweetheart, play on the audiences’ sentimentalities. Everyone liked a good love story. 

Though he’d been hesitant, Xemnas finally, finally agreed. And now, here she was, ready for her first show. The ballerina for the ages. He couldn’t be more excited for her.

“Are you nervous?” Roxas asked, running his palms soothingly along her arms. Xion nodded.

“Yes, very.” She admitted. He leaned in to give her a sweet kiss. 

“It’s okay to be nervous.” He soothed. “But you’ve got nothing to worry about. You know exactly what you’re doing, and I’m gonna be right there beside you.”

She stared at him for a moment, her eyes clicking as they blinked again.

“What if they don’t like me..?” She asked in a small voice. He felt his chest pinch.

RokuShi Week 2026: Day 5 - Music Box

There was a beat of comfortable silence while the couple simply sat there, content and relaxed, pressed together in their bed with their baby girl, but a tiny voice pulled both of their attention.

“Mama? Daddy?” Stella’s little face peeked in from the doorway, blonde hair messy from sleep. Her voice was timid like something had spooked her, something both of her parents took note of immediately.

“Hi, sweetiepie.” Xion cooed. “Did you have a bad dream?”

Stella shook her head, holding onto the doorframe with tiny hands. Roxas opened his arms for her.

“C’mere, baby.” He beckoned to the three-year-old. “Come sit with Mama and Daddy.” 

She toddled over to her father’s call, letting him pull her up onto the bed and settle her in between him and her mother.

RokuShi Week 2026: Day 4 - Video

ao3 link Modern AU meetcute whoopee!! preview: Fridays weren’t just a kickstarter for the weekend, at least, not to Roxas. Fridays also meant that his favorite youtuber would be uploading, and lo and behold, as he booted up his computer and logged onto the website, he found the new video at the top of his home page, ready and waiting for him. 

He quietly let out a celebratory “yes” under his breath as he clicked on it, pleased to see she had already posted it while he had made his way home from class. 

Another sigh left his lungs as the video loaded, beautiful indigo eyes and silky onyx hair lighting up his screen. 

“Hi lovelies, I’m Xion! Happy Friday! Today I’m gonna show you how I created this beach inspired makeup look, perfect for summer!”

Xion…

Roxas’s lips curled into a goofy, lovesick grin as her sweet voice filled his ear. He could feel all the tension in his shoulders start to ease. This was his favorite thing about Fridays.

RokuShi Week 2026: Day 3 - Sleep

A heavy fabric sits on his skin. Leather? Maybe. It wraps around him and makes him sticky with sweat. Is he wearing gloves? It’s too warm for them.

“Roxas, hey.” Her voice cuts through everything else again. “You here with me?”

His lips pull into a smile that he can’t understand.

“Yeah.” He answers her, like it’s the easiest thing in the world, despite feeling foreign on his tongue. “Always, ____.”

She scoots a little closer, falling more into focus, less blurred. Her lips are strawberry pink and he has the strangest urge to taste them, to test if any sea salt lingered on them.

“Stay with me for a while.” She requests, voice quiet against the wind, but it’s all he hears anyway. “Don’t go back yet.”

How many takes did roxas and xion have to do for her death scene? it really sad and devastating but also i imagine a little hard to take swriously when until the special effects are applied, and the additional difficulty of the line being 'but who else will i have ice cream with?!' being easily joked about-

basically a long way of asking if they laughed and had to do retakes lmao

“Oh yeah~?” Roxas goaded. “What’re you gonna- agh!”  She was cut off by a swift whack to the side of her face with the same pillow, courtesy of Xion. The blonde cradled the side of her cheek as if wounded, but her best friend knew she was full of shit.

“Betrayed by my closest friend…” Roxas lamented, shaking her head. 

“You started it, you little brat!” Xion said with a scoff. 

“I’m a brat, huh?” The other girl smirked, tone dropping to something Xion swore was flirty, but it was probably just her lovesick brain playing tricks on her. She bit the inside of her cheek to ground herself.

“The brattiest.” She deadpanned, impressively flat for someone who was deep in “the crush zone,” as Olette had dubbed it.

For a moment, nothing happened. Axel stared at the spot where Saïx had just been, Sora looked between the three former Organization members curiously, Kairi dusted herself off, but Roxas didn’t pay attention to any of them, not even his best friend. His eyes were fixed on the black haired girl standing several feet away from him, her eyes downcast, her posture hunched.

Xion.

He slowly stepped closer to her, afraid he was in some sort of trance, a dream he’d beg to never wake up from. There had been no time to take her in when they’d been in battle, but now there was nothing stopping him from staring, even shame itself could be damned.

I don't use tiktok and I'm admittedly not super active in the fandom, so I was hoping you could maybe elaborate on what's going on if you don't mind?

Sure, I can do that. 👍

Basically, there’s been a lot of nasty and bigoted behavior towards g3 and its fans. Fatphobia, transphobia, general complaints about “forced diversity”, etc. Which is absolutely insane considering it’s Monster High.

From what I’ve noticed, the vast majority of these people are not in the community and never have been, but rather are trend hoppers. MH had a huge renaissance during the pandemic which drew in a lot of the nostalgia crowd, who view g1 through rose colored glasses despite not actually being there to experience it.

There’s a lot of entitlement. They want “the old dolls back”, but ignore skullectors and creepros. They want more g1 media but don’t support the comics. They want the fashion in g3 to be “better” without acknowledging their best lines (core refresh, scary sweet bday, etc.)

It bleeds into every comment section. Entitled older teens and young adults saying vile things, claiming MH g1 would “bully” their g3 counterparts, fatshaming the curvier dolls, complaining about anything and everything all in the name of g1 while in the same breath completely ignoring the message of it. Not to mention getting key details about the franchise wrong, proving that they were never in the community in the first place.

I want it to be known that this is a loud minority. MH g3 is crushing it right now. It’s popular with kids and collectors. The numbers are up and the designs keep getting better. This hatred is by no means an indicator of the public opinion on g3.

But as a MH collector of nearly 15 years, the comments and vitriol are exhausting. People are constantly invading our spaces only to complain when they are not specifically catered to. Many MH fans are frustrated and disgusted by the constant negativity.

So yeah, sorry for the essay, but that is the situation summarized.

Genuinely heartbreaking watching the Monster High community be invaded by some of the most hateful, vile people on earth.
