To all my midwestern follows

On Wednesday, January 30th, will be one of the coldest days ever to strike the midwest in recent history. It will be colder than Siberia. It will be colder than Antarctica. It will be colder than the summit of Mt. Everest. It will be -23 Degrees with a windchill of -55. I urge all of you to keep your birds indoors as well as any other pets because they will all die in minutes.

If you dont have the space indoors to place your birds in, I urge you to get a heater and pack snow around the coops. if you dont, YOUR BIRDS WILL ALL DIE. depending on the size of your coop it will take from 30 minutes. Ive already spent 4 hours shoveling snow onto mine and all my birds are warm. I wish you all the best.

I’m a Wisconsinite who has lived through this level of cold before. This cold does not fuck around. Bring all animals into shelters and stay inside yourself unless you absolutely must go out because of an emergency or your employer is full of capitalist pigs like mine and makes you come in despite the cold. Cold like this will cause frostbite within two to three minutes, longer than that and flesh can and will start to die.

Long story short, bring your pets in, wear a hat and gloves, and for the love of Santa do not be that one asshole who wears shorts in this weather and says “Ha ha, yeah, I grew up here so I’m used to it!”
