it’s a sunday afternoon

you haven’t been online in 9 hours and

i try not to imagine you laying in bed with another woman.

the two of you ask each other “did you sleep ok?” and you both say the same thing.

the rain is steady outside, and the window is cracked open to let the heat out.

seconds pass into minutes the breeze wanders around the room and when you

suggest making coffee, her face lights up.

she looks beautiful.

a chill from the open window in my room

sends thousands of little bumps racing across the surface of my skin as i stand still.
