Forest Chicken ~ @kickingastral
She was traveling through the woods, as she was naturally prone to be doing. If you ever needed to find her, just walk through the forest for a bit, it’s hard to miss the sun gleaming off of the rosy colored scales.
On such a occasion, she had a pillow in her arms as she was making her way to her special cave. She found it a long time ago, and had begun steadily moving things from her residence to this place instead. the cold made it difficult to do it quickly, but she was diligent enough.
Something caught her attention very quickly. A certain smell that she hadn’t smelled in the forest before. She became distracted and followed the scent. She found a human in the woods, he seemed to be minding his own business, but it was undeniable that the scent was coming from him.
Chicken wings. Her absolute most favorite food of all time.
She didn’t want to approach at first, unsure of who the stranger was or what he was doing here. So she watched him from a distance, pillow in hand as her stomach growled ever so lightly.
This city was still a mess to you, a grey slab of futuristic arcana that confused your senses. Praise the lords that there are still areas that reminded you of home. Verdant forests away from the towering lamps and droning of those horseless carriages. It was good for you to step back and take a breath. Just like Althealand. You feel your lungs fill with the fresh air, the cold air and dew replaced with the warming beacon of the sun above.
Lunch time, you thought as you looked up to seen the noon sky. The venture into the woods had brought a hunger to you but luckily you were prepared for moments like. Finding a small clearing you stick your hand into your left breast pocket and pull out a small wing, a remnant of a party you attended the night before. The skin no longer crispy, and now a memory of itself at peak taste rubbery and cold.
As you begin to start your meal you felt an odd feeling in your gut.
