Honestly I don't think her fans care if she is a good actress or not, they care about her beauty and image, that's wha the Emma fandom is all about. As long as she continues to look pretty and wear pretty clothes while attending events and doesn't do anything to tarnish her image (Emma is to smart to do that because she knows her image is all she has) they are satisfied.

Exactly, I totally agree. Honestly, her fans are just delusional she was never a great actress to begin with. Yeah, you can blame the early Harry Potter movies for her stiff delivery back then, but the problem is she never really progressed. Even in her later films, she still felt so boxed in, like she was afraid to push past a certain point.And I’ve always wondered if that rumor about one of her teachers telling her to quit acting was actually true, hahahaha. Because honestly… do we think all that “school time” she’s had has helped her at all? I personally don’t think she even likes acting she just likes the fame that comes with it.I hate to say it, but Hollywood is brutal with female actresses and age. They move on so quickly, or they box you into limited roles. Maybe that’s exactly what’s happening to her she’s just not getting booked for the roles she wants.

It's not really a rumor. She said herself that a teacher told her to quit (lol) and that she used that as a drive to prove people like him wrong. And yes, it's true that the older actresses get, the less Hollywood is interested in them or gives them certain types of roles. Even Meryl Streep said that she started getting offered different types of roles after she reached a certain age.

They like to think that she's so popular, that she can take a long break and still come back and get good roles. - she didn't get good, juicy roles when she was still in acting circles. That's just a pure delusion at this point to believe that big name directors (hell, anyone really) were anxiously waiting for her return. She will always be tied to HP and this is why many people will know her, but that's it. It was never enough to sustain an a-lister's career, not without an actual talent.

I remember her doing an interview back in the day and her sending a list of all the directors she wanted to work with. They weren't interested then and they aren't interested now.

Let’s FACE it: If Emma were talented and sought after, they’d offer her role after role. Look at Dan, he just begged another role on Broadway (2nd Tony Award incoming maybe haha) in “Every Brilliant Thing” and it’s a SOLO play! Like … they’d offer her smth like that if she’d be more talented. They don’t. Fans need to face that.

Even if Dan isn't really up there when it comes to acting talent, he puts in the work. He absolutely loves acting and you can tell. You can't see the same drive or love for acting. It's the way she talks about the characters. About how she can or can't relate to them. It's like she's trying to make the characters more adjustable for her instead of her trying to embody those characters. That's not how acting works.

Now now let's put some respect on Olivia Hussey, she's iconic

Definitely agree she’s well-known but not really sought out. I mean, she only went to this fashion show because of her friend, who has great connections in the fashion industry. If she were truly in demand, trust me, we’d be seeing her at a lot more fashion events. But we’re not. She just pops up here and there it’s never consistent.And honestly, when you hear Emma Watson, you instantly think of Hermione. Even in news articles, they can’t write a headline about her without cramming in a Harry Potter reference somewhere. It’s like she’ll never escape that role no matter how hard she tries, Hermione is her permanent shadow. The thing is, her fans are completely delusional. Sure, she’ll always have fame, but fame doesn’t automatically translate to work or invitations. Hollywood moves on fast, and she just hasn’t kept up.

I’m dead Olivia Hussey’s acting had me crying laughing, lol. But honestly? At least Olivia actually improved with time. Emma Watson still acts like she’s stuck in Harry Potter same expressions, same delivery, same everything. 😂 Her “acting” is just her eyebrows doing all the work. Every emotion happy, sad, angry, confused it’s all in the eyebrows. And for the people saying she should “try theater”? Please. Theater takes real skill and discipline you only get one take. She’d crumble halfway through the first monologue.

Emma may have a lot of popularity but she is not being talked about much on a regular basis. Daisy Edgar-Jones is a British actress who is classier and more sophisticated than Emma and she is being talked about more and she is also getting acting gigs. She is also getting plenty of high profile fashion brand gigs. There is also Florence Pugh if we are talking about another British actress whose big popularity is focused on her acting career. Emma is not that relevant.

True, Emma does turn out to be the villain in Regression but notice how she basically wins in the end and suffers no repercussions. The lasting image is basically of a young beautiful girl that many think is just brainwashed.

It's still a character that turns out the be the villain of the story. I remember reading fans who were disappointed that she played a character like that.
