It's been a while=D
Koodos to Bicky who sent me this link not so long ago. After reading the article, I suddenly had this AMAZING idea. Should we go on an eating spree and eat all the 50 different types of food presented by CNN without stepping a single foot outside of Montreal? Rather than looking for those specific 50 dishes (some are not even dishes-ketchup?), I will try my best to demonstrate Montreal's diversified and delicious food from a wider range of countries. This culinary experience will highlight Montreal's most well-hidden secret; its multiethnic society.
The truth is, I've already started my little adventure so I will update my Tumblr with photos and description really soon.
Lastly, since typical homemade food remains the best, I'll ask for your cooperation in helping me accomplish this challenge (by cooking for me?). I also forgot to mention...I take pictures, YOU eat=]

People say you only learn to cherish something once you have lost it. How big is your loss in the case where fate has deprived you from something yoy've been entitled to have just like every other human beings. When I was younger, I was never really able to put a price on what I've lost. However, as I gained wisdom with life experiences and age, I have discovered a very important fact...no matter how much one will try to make up for one's unfortunate loss in his/her everyday life decisions, the pain does not disappear. In many cases, it will strike deeper at the end since it will come back and haunt you. Indeed, every year on this fateful day, it strikes back and forces me to remember that I will never be able to celebrate mother's day and be thankful to the person who gave life to me, my mom. I truly believe that from where she is, she watches over my every steps and forgives me for misbehaving because like anyone's mom, mine will always be supportive of me. I used to be jealous of the people who could remember the sweetness and the warmness of the hugs that their moms gave them just because I can't remember how it feels...However, when I think about my younger brother I feel somewhat luckier and hence, I shall not complain for things that are impossible to change just to suit my perfect perception of the world. I am grateful for what I have and for the people around me. They are the pilars that will always be there for me <3. What does not break you apart only makes you stronger right? I shall abide by that motto like I have done so for the past 18 years.
Fiona & I were among the first batch of people to get in.

8:30am class? When? An Hour Ago Douche!
Great! I somehow managed to miss my first class. Stupid alarm clock!! My next class is at 10:05 so I should be leaving the house in 12 minutes. F*** my alarm clock=.=' I totally slept in and missed an amazingly boring (most probably boring...and Bicky will tell me about it=D) EAST: Intro to Korea class.
My Fred Perry shoes xD They are a must for this fall!
BORED!!
I hate how things are so unfair!! Instead of enjoying the weather, I'm stuck working in Chinatown today=.='' And well, it's boring. There's nothing fun in taking ID pictures! What's even worse is that I'll also be working for my dad tonight...developing wedding pictures! Perhaps I'll meet some of you if you're attending a wedding at Tong Por tonight! (I'll be the first to see your pictures xP) MUHAHAHAHAHA
On a completely different topic, at the end of this week, I would've worked more than freaking 62 hours! Sometimes I'm pretty amazed at the human body. How can it generates energy so much energy for us to spend! Someone should really start looking into that. I don't mind taking a few days of rest as you research on all the supernatural powers that I HAVE!
If you're coming dtown, come say hi to me! I haven't seen much of my friends lately!
Candi Bar
Last Thursday, Tram and I decided to go to Candi Bar. We knew that they served candies in their drinks but nothing more than that. It was quite a surprise when they presented us the drinks' menu on a lollipop! What's even more fun is that every drink has its own candies! It's a really nice marketing approach to make people come back. Seriously, I'll be coming back to try something other than the Sushi drink. It was wayyyy too strong for me. I guess I'm really getting old=.=' I had a lot of fun trying to retrieve my candies with chopsticks in a glass of Slush & Lychee Soho. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that every drink comes with a different type of slush. They have a big display of slush at the bar. On the tables in the back, every table is lighted up with a candy vending machine! It's soooo cute^_^
This bar was indeed conceived for ladies. Everything has been womanized; from the chairs to the bathrooms. There's a bathroom with two toilet bowls and a single door so that we can keep on chatting while pee-ing face to face...HILARIOUS! They EVEN have TVs in the bathrooms with short Betty Boop's movies!
As for the service, the waiters are super friendly. They make recommendations when you don't really know what to pick. Just make sure you're down for 2 1/2 oz of alcohol before coming in though! Also, the waiters look like kids with their butterfly knots! I'll be coming back really soon so let me know if you would like to come!!
Congratulations little bro!
My brother has officially graduated from high school. I’m a really bad sister since I never really thought he would finish in 5 years. But he did!
I wish him the best for his future plans!
Definition of a soul mate
As I was literally eating my ''Eat, Pray, Love'' book, I got completely mesmerized by a paragraph talking about one's soul mate. To put everyone in context, it is a conversation between Elizabeth Gilbert (the author) and her friend Richard whom she met in an asham in India. She's missing her ex-boyfriend.
Page 149
''So you fell in love with someone. Don't you see what happened? This guy touched a place in your heart deeper than you thought you were capable of reaching. I mean you got zapped, kiddo. But that love you felt, that's just the beginning. You just got a taste of love. That's just limited little rinky-dink mortal love. Wait till you see how much more deeply you can love than that. Heck, Groceries (Liz's nickname)-you have the capacity to someday love the whole world. It's your destiny, don't laugh.''
''I'm not laughing.'' I'm actually crying. ''And please don't laught at me now, but I think the reason it's so hard for me to get over this guy is because I seriously believed David was my soul mate.''
''He probably was. Your problem is you don't understand what that word means. People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true sould mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that's holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then they leave. And thank God for it. Your problem is, you just can't let this one go. It's over, Groceries. David's purpose was to shake you up, drive you out of that marriage that you needed to leave, tear apart your ego a little bitm show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light could get in, make you desperate and out of control that you had to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master and beat it. That was his job, and he did great, but now it's over. Problem ism you can'T accept that this relationship had a real short shelf life. You're like a dog at the dump, baby-you're just lickin' at an empty tin can, trying to get more nutrition out of it. And if you're not careful, that can's gonna get struck on your snout forever and make your life miserable. So drop it.''
''But I love him.''
''So love him.''
''But I miss him.''
''So miss him. Send him some love and light every time you think about him, and then drop it. You'Re just afraid to let go of the last bits of David because then you'll really be alone, and Liz Gilbert is scared to death of what will happen if she's really alone. But here'S what you gotta understand, Groceries. If you clear out all that space in your mind that you're using right now to obsess about this guy, you'll have a vacuum there, an open spot-a doorway. And guess what the universes will do with that doorway? It will rush in-God will rush in-and fill you with more love than you ever dreamed.
What's amazing about the conversation between Richard and Liz is the whole idea that you shouldn't see losing your soul mate as a loss. Rather, Richard encourages you to see it as if you were winning the lottery. You're opening yourself to the world and to a whole new bunch of challenges!
Everyone needs someone to destabilize them, to make them realize that life goes on and that although some things are harder to get over, we get stronger. Hopefully, this paragraph has helped many of you move on with your lives while cherishing the last bits of memories that you have of your old love!
Eat, Pray, Love
I bought this AMAZING book yesterday after my morning gym session. I'm completely hooked on it. I can't stop myself from reading it. It makes me want to fly away to Rome and start eating ALL the food that Rome has to offer. It might even cure my pickiness! I also want to meet a friend whose family name is FUNNY...something along the lines of Spaghetti? I'm only at page 71 so I'll keep you guys updated as I read through the book. Now I understand why Oprah can't stop talking about this book xD
Cheers!!
Gym & Work
I went to the gym this morning without JESS! She slept in so she couldn't make it for our meeting time. SHAME ON HER! Nam actually taught be how to use two machines. I'm pretty sure he was laughing all my himself as I was trying to learn how to use the machines. Then, I headed to work. What have I done so far? Well, almost nothing...I made 2 phone calls and went on YouTube for most of the day xD I finish work in 45 minutes!!!
Let's go out!!!!!!
FOOD and SOME MORE FOOD!
Tram is currently in Chinatown. Since we both had nothing to do, we decided to go eat...PHO!!
We're meeting Jess & Lisa later on tonight and we're planning on drinking! Meet us up!
It didn't matter where I was or who I was with, I basically spent the whole day eating HAHAHA. No wonder I'm hitting the gym at least 3 times a week>.<''
I started my afternoon with a stop at Roberto for their super yummy gelato. Lisa used to hate gelato but now, she LOVES gelato. Then, we met up with Tram on Belanger street for some Vietnamese food on St-Denis. Then, Tram and I headed downtown in order to find a GPS for my dad. He managed to knock the first one out in 3 days HAHAHA. Thank god, I was still able to return it. Hopefully, he'll take care of this one...
Then, we both headed to work where we did nothing beside eating and talking. Since we got off early (11pm), we went out to drink 3 pitchers of sangria with Darryl, Benoit and Michelle. Epic Night! No one was drunk...but everyone was high. By the way, Villa Rouge's waiter is our new friend=] Which means that working in the Gay Village helps us create friendships...we're friends with the bouncer at Sports' Station!
Crappy Rogers. I've been talking to them more than to my dad on the phone this month. And gosh, I do talk to my dad every single day. He wakes me up in the morning! That's how much time I've been spending time with their representatives. I've been making changes to my plan at the beginning of last month. I made sure to call in 3 FREAKING DAYS before my billing cycle in order to make it effective...but since it was a student plan, I had to go in store. Well, for your information ROGERS, I have a life...i.e I work in order to pay for MY CRAPPY PLAN. I can't just drop in a Rogers store the following morning just because you forgot to mention I had to do it before the 6th! Surprise! I just went on Rogers to look at my so-called plan and it made me crazy. Not only am I paying almost $63 this month, nothing IS CREDITED! I'm paying for a MY5 that costs me $63 whereas next month, I'll be paying $35 for a MY10 with MORE OPTIONS?! HELLO!!??!! I don't even have a DATA PLAN! No one is stupid enough to keep on being ripped off by Rogers like that. They can be sure I'll be calling in EVERY SINGLE DAY until I get something out of this. I called two representatives today and the only thing they were able to tell me was..."I'm sorry...I can't do anything for you. That's how our system works. You had to call in before June 6th." Basically they meant...you got SCREWED OVER B*TCH!
That's it for now. I can't even focus properly at work>.<'' Rogers rapes you every month since it gives you nothing back in return.
Happy 21st Birthday Simon!
A friend of mine turned 21 yesterday. Instead of partying it out, he decided to wait till he goes to the States next week to celebrate...I wonder why?! Hahahaha. Jess and I wanted to take him to 281 for his legalization. The guy used EVERY single excuse possible at the door. He totally didn't want to go in. Too bad for him, he promised us that he'll come the next time we bring another guy along. We started the evening with a visit to Sports Station...where we drank a LOT due to the tap. We met up with Tram only for a while since she had to go to work. I decided I wasn't feeling like working at all and since I had to wait for Simon to actually show up, I skipped work xD Then, we headed to the Jazz Festival venue to meet Julia! Some more beer were drank on site LOL. Instead of going to 281 as planned, we finished off the night with my first visit ever at the Foufs. It's not exactly the crowd I'm used to but it was fun. I wonder why people like Coors Light so much...it ain't that good! I hope he had a great time with a bunch of girls!!
