emma davis was adopted at birth by the davis family. she has no clue who her biological parents are but has no need to find out. she is close to her family and cares deeply. she is protective as heck, and certainly not one to mess with. she’s all giggles and smiles but will attack if needed. never underestimate her, she hates that.

recently got out of a long-term relationship, therefore is living her life and doing everything she held back on before. she is very independent and that shows. she doesn’t need anyone and never expects anything. if someone wants to walk out of her life, she will hold the door open for them. if you mean a lot to her she will fight for you, so never take that for granted. doesn’t care what others think of her nor regrets mistakes she makes. she learns from them and moves on.

“Oh, bloody hell.” It was clear Finley usually opted for contacts over his glasses, given the number of times he’d lost them over the course of the evening. His hand flew to the top of his head (where they’d been the last time he’d thought he’d lost them) but he was just met with his springy, blowdried curls. Melodramatic as usual, he turned to Emma with a overly pained expression, the colourful cocktail he’d made himself almost flying out of it’s glass. “I’ve lost my glasses again, Em. How am I supposed to do Cypress Hill on karaoke now? Can’t read the bloody screen. We’re going to have to pick something easier.” Finley whinged to his friend, entirely unaware that his glasses were poking out the top of his shirt pocket as he waved his hands about in front of her. Emma just watched him panic, completely amused at the scene unfolding in front of her, allowing it to last as long as possible. Her look of concern matched his until she couldn’t hold off any longer, a sly smile spreading across her face, “Oh, no. Whatever shall we do now?” A hint of sarcasm in her tone before she giggled, “You seriously are lucky your head is attached to the rest of your body,” she pointed out, reaching in to pull the glasses out from his front pocket and waving them towards him. “We are doing Cypress Hill, glasses or no glasses so you better take care of them,” she playfully threatened, narrowing her eyes at him.

                 “i seriously want to fight that dj for not playing 90s songs.” the redhead complained as she downs her whole drink. “he’s either playing too much 80s, or early 2000s. read the fucking room, derek!” she yelled from across the venue, causing giggles to erupt from her little crowd. “fifty bucks and i’ll go on that dj booth. who’s in?” @shstarters​

emma laughs at celeste’s words, enjoying whatever is being played. “has he not? i’m not even noticing anything anymore,” she admitted, taking a sip from the drink in her hand. she laughed along to the antics of the other, simply having fun with the night. “i am so in! i love you so much right now. and always of course!” she enthused.

                    “do you really think it’s a good idea for me to get so drunk in this place?” the songstress was trying so hard not get past her limit tonight. it was a very tempting situation, since the green room always served the best drinks– but the last thing she wanted was be get so wasted that the actual owners of the venue had to take care of her. “anyway, i think i can handle one more. so, let me know what you’re having. it’s on me!” @shstarters​

“it’s the best idea! come on, you’re with me, you can’t turn me down can you?” emma questioned, flashing her a pouting face to convince the other. whenever these two were together, well to say they had fun was an understatement. “yes!” she squealed in excitement as the other agreed to another drink, bringing her finger up to her lip to think. “you’re too kind my dear! i’ll have a mojito.”

He had been by the bar for the majority of the evening, not yet having enough alcohol in his system to join the mass of people on the dancefloor, and not exactly making any effort to get to that point. In fact, Drew had been ready to slip away into the night. And he would have, had his attention not been piqued by the girl calling out to him. Amidst the flashing, multi-coloured light, it took him a moment to make out her face, but once he had come to recognise the brunette, he had flashed her a beaming smile. “Hey! Yeah, yeah. I remember. Drew,” He reminded her. “You havin’ fun out there?” He questioned, chuckling at her slightly ragged appearance, “Who are you dressed up as tonight?” 

When he repeated him name for her, Emma grinned and nodded, knowing she remembered the first letter correctly but the rest of the name had escaped her amid the chaos of the event. “Drew! Yes, of course. I am, thank you. What about you?” She questioned, ordering another drink for herself and the bartender came her way before looking back at the male. “No one in particular but bucket hats and neon colors were like a thing, right? I just so happen to still love this attire,” she pointed out with a laugh, making the best of what she could find at home. “Let me guess, Nick Lachey?” She questioned, for absolutely no reason but that having been her crush growing up and it was the first name to come to mind.

          𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄, 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 out on the dance floor had never been much of an issue. The nineties had to be her favourite decade, and The Green Room’s first party under her reign seemed to be a pretty big hit with the locals so far. Yelling the lyrics to Deep Blue Something’s Breakfast At Tiffany’s chorus from the top of her lungs had quickly managed to find her a duet partner in someone she swore she’d already run into several different times before. She wasn’t entirely sure what the other girl’s name was. But they were having fun — and that was really all that mattered to the blonde. Her arms raised during all the good parts and the biggest grin etched across wild features once the song came to its inevitable end, swiftly changing into the equally iconic Lovefool by The Cardigans.  “What are you drinking?”  she yelled, trying desperately to be heard above the noise of the bustling crowd inside the music venue.  “Keeping a tune like that absolutely deserves to be rewarded.”  ( @emmadvs​ )

As Emma danced the night away, with no one in particular, she managed to join a few different people along the way. She was singing and dancing within the crowd, it never feeling odd since she knew most of the people there, and if she didn’t, she would make sure she did at the end of a song. The blonde that Emma joined in song looked familiar but with the amount of alcohol she already had in her system, so did everyone else in the venue. She didn’t overthink it and continued having fun as per usual. “Tequila sunrise,” Emma shouted in response over the music, before smiling wide. “You’re too kind! I didn’t mean to jump into your song but it looked like you could use a singing partner for fun! Singing alone is fun and all, but duets are much better.”

beth let herself be leaded by her friend and she entered to emma’s office. she did want to know more about emma’s life, since she’s one of the few people she really cared about, but since beth had to let all out she just waited for emma to let her talk. she couldn’t even sit since she was so upset and emberssed by what her father did to her and to matthew of course. “so my parents met matt, and i think matt doesn’t want anything to do with my family.” beth said with a sigh at the end. putting her hands on her waist, traveling in emma’s office. “and i’m trying to get away from my father cause all he does now is give more and more work to keep me busy.” she added, she was frustrated. “i mean there’s nothing wrong with matt, he is so nice and charming– god emma you should’ve seen my father face when matt told him about his daughter.”

seeing how anxious beth was about what she had to say made emma worry. whatever happened must not have been good, and it was bugging beth as she could tell. she let her friend speak, truly caring about what was going on with her. “wait, what? why? what happened?” she found herself asking before going quiet again to let beth finish her story. hearing what her friend had to say made emma feel bad for her. she knew her family, especially her father, was hard on others but to that extent? emma knew how much he cared about beth and wanted the best for her, but matt sounded like her perfect match whenever beth would speak of him. “is that what infuriated him? that he has a daughter? that’s kind of shallow, isn’t it? i mean, i love and respect your father but i’m a little shocked. i know he’s tough cause he cares but this is too much. you’re obviously happy and you deserve to be. after everything.”

Emma was right, Toni didn’t go out of her way to hurt her. Nor, did anything that happens to her a result of anything that had to do with Emma. But, if she was staying true to herself, Tonimarie knew that she cut her off and acted as if the friendship never existed. Thankfully due to the other’s willingness to forgive, Toni didn’t have to sit here and beg for her forgiveness, like she knew she would have to with some others. Her eyes moved between the ground beneath them, their hands intertwined, and Emma’s eyes. They kept shifting between each position to determine for herself if this was all real, where she was and who she was with. Plus, it probably didn’t help that she had helped herself to such a large amount of liquor in a short amount of time. “I would never. I might not give a shit but, I give a shit enough about you to not hurt you,” she admitted, although it wasn’t a surprise to herself. “We got so caught up in me that I had no idea how you’ve been, what your life has amounted too,” she said, her eyes fixating as best they could at the sight of her house in the distance. “Not to shift focus off of you but – Make sure you close the door behind you when we get there. Zelda is quite outdoorsy for a cat,” she mentioned. 

Emma cared about the other and would never hold a grudge because she simply wanted to live her life and explore the world. She was just happy Toni was back and they had their chance to get their friendship back on track and grow it. “I know you wouldn’t. You love me too much,” she teased, scrunching her nose before giggling. “I would never hurt you either. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s focus on the new shit we’re gonna mess up around here. I couldn’t do it all on my own anymore,” she added on as they continued walking. “Well, I’m a lawyer now. Family lawyer, to be exact. I’m a pretty bad bitch in the court room, not gonna lie. I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished. I owe it all to Beth, though. You remember Beth? My best friend? Well, we’re still inseparable, we even work together. She’ll be so happy to know you’re back,” Emma went on, a smile on her face. She heard Toni’s warning and nodded, “Yes ma'am. You got it, door closed. I love cats, please tell me Zelda’s affectionate.”

Emma was a few drinks in, dancing with no one in particular on the dance floor. When she wanted to have fun, she didn’t mind doing it solo. When the latest song came to an end, she made her way through the crowd and headed back to the bar. “Another tequila sunrise, please,” she requested from the bartender that knew her all too well by then. As she looked over to the male beside her, she focused on him until she realized why he looked familiar. “Hey, you’re Matt’s friend!” She exclaimed over the music, running a hand through her hair. “We met earlier, I’m Beth’s friend. Emma.” She added on, unsure if he needed that extra information to recall who she was, if he did at all. @drewinston​

beth let out a small laugh, now they looked like sixteen years old, just the screaming and the sobbing over each other is missing. “we do need to catch up, because i got burnt from the tea i have to tell you.” beth said taking a sip from her coffee. “let’s go to your office?” she asked, emma’s office was nearby so she thought it would be quick before someone being them more work than they already have. “but first tell me about your busy days.” beth said.

at the mention of her friend having  stuff to tell her, emma grinned and nodded, grabbing her friend’s hand to lead her to her office, but making sure to be careful with the coffee in her hand. “say no more,” she beamed as she led the way, closing the door behind them as soon as they were inside. she waved her hand at the topic beth was trying to bring up, “oh no, that’s not important. work work and one night stands, you know me. now you, tell me everything.”

“I swear to god, if you really believe in that shit – I might have to go back on me saying that I’ll kill you,” she joked, sticking her tongue out alongisde a few chuckles. “It’s not destiny but, I still stand my ground. I’m really lucky that you’re so forgiving.” Perhaps she could trust Emma, she always could before. They had, this bond, that at the time Toni didn’t understand back then. But now, she knew that it was definitely deeper than a surface level friendship. “Remember that one time when we skipped Algebra? Oh my god, Emma – you were so pissed at me. Well not me exactly but, I thought that you were never going to speak to me again just because I got us in trouble,” she laughed. “Thinking about it now, I can see why you wouldn’t leave me out to dry now. After this time, I should’ve known better.” Sure it was only skipping a class, — but it was such a big deal back then. If only Toni knew what more serious deals she would have to handle in her later life. Toni couldn’t wait to spend more time with Emma again, that’s all she really knew. “As long as I’m locked up with you, my love,” she played. “–Then I wouldn’t need the key,” she said matter of fact, swinging their hands while they walked at their sides. 

Emma couldn’t hold back her laughter, not caring who stared or how ridiculous she sounded. Toni’s response was just what she expected. Whether destiny actually existed or not, Emma believed more in making your own luck and decisions and if you want something, you have to make it happen for yourself. “Of course. I mean, you went to live your life, what’s to forgive? I support that, honestly. It’s not like you intentionally did something to hurt me. See, now those people would say I’m not so forgiving,” she pointed out truthfully. They were friends before and if Emma had been the one to leave Springhill to figure out her life and all, she would expect her friends to understand that. “Oh my god, yes! I’ve always had your back. And I always will, that will never change,” she added on, a smile on her face as the two walked hand in hand and reminisced about the past.

isabella may had, had-a bit too much to drink the night before, and walking home from her stay at the persons house she stayed at last night, she was stumbling home–her drunken tinge of delight and merriment still surrounding her. spotting a dog on the corner, a stray–it seemed. She picked it up softly, stroking it’s hair. “Im gonna’ call you tramp.” She pouted, giggling softly. Looking up, like she had been spotted she raised an eyebrow “Oh lemme’ keep him pleaaaaase.”

as emma was on her usual afternoon jog, she came to a stop when she recognized a familiar face across the street. she made her way over, a smile on her face as she grew closer to the figure. “if that makes you happy,” she responded, as the dog was not the reason she approached the other. “isabella right? it’s emma. we met the other day, not sure if you remember,” she asked, rambling on before realizing she should stop and let the other speak.

“I don’t see why people would be dicks to their bartenders.” Flint started, “Do they really not get that I have the power to control how much liquor they get? Jokes on the people who get mad because they’ll have to see a lot more of me to get drunk.” He gave a crooked smile, "Likewise someone tipped me a twenty tonight, you better believe they had a time they will not remember.”

“Why do you think I’m always such a sweetheart when I’m around you?” Emma posed the question, batting her eyelashes at the other before letting out a laugh. “I mean, that’s not the only reason of course, I’m teasing. Some people are just assholes, hun. They’re idiots for not realizing you can make or break their night,” she pointed out with a shrug, smiling at her friend.

“I was gonna go solo with my trying one of everything.” James grinned back over at her, his eyes once more making their way to the menu. He was so tempted to go with what he knew he liked, Mint Chocolate Chip or Oreo but really, where was the fun in that. “Oh, strawberry cheesecake? That sounds like it would be really good?” Having not even considered that flavor at all. But he was open to try anything at least once, so why not do that this time? “No, no, makes sense. Ti each their own, right?” At least he hoped that was how the saying went. “I think I’m gonna go with your suggestion, try something new.” James said with a nod of his head, stepping up to place his order. He paused for a second before looking over at the girl, giving her a smile, and waved in her direction. “You can add whatever she wants to my order. My treat.” James said to her, a smile still on his face. “Everyone deserves something nice, even if it’s just having their milkshake paid for.” 

“I mean, if you could handle all that sweet, go for it. Don’t let me stop you. I might want to see the outcome though, not gonna lie,” Emma responded, a smile working its way across her face. “Exactly. To each their own. I definitely have a mind of my own. Strange and all,” she said with a chuckle and a shrug, not really caring about that. She gave a small clap of her hands when he said he would take her suggestion, “You won’t regret it, I’m sure. And since you’re taking a walk on the wild - or not so wild - side with my suggestion, I’ll do the same. So tell me, what should I go for?” She asked, once he offered to pay for her milkshake. She definitely appreciated the kind gesture and was ready to try something new herself.

It was a name that so many could easily have given her but, for Toni, it was a way that made her feel closer to her. Em and Toni were younger then, where the smallest thing that shouldn’t have made such an impact, really did. “You’re so special – I didn’t deserve your frendship then and I certainly don’t deserve it now,” she shook her head. Toni believed it too, with the way the lines were drawn in the sand with the previous events in her life. There was no hope in Toni’s sights. At least, there wasn’t before. Now, certainly more optimistic. “Thank god, I thought I was going to have to do some serious convincing and I knew my drunk ass wasn’t prepared to do that,” she laughed at herself. Toni extended her free hand out to grasp onto Emma’s hand, lacing their fingers together to begin pulling her gently in the direction toward her place. “I’m really glad I ran into you, “ she admitted, gently resting her head on Emma’s shoulder and soon picking it back up to pick up their speed. 

“Oh stop it. You are more than deserving of me. I’m the lucky one here. Of all places I could have been today, I ended up here, running into you. If that’s not destiny, well fuck,” Emma responded with a laugh, shaking her head slightly. There was never anything a person could do that Emma would think less of them for. Unless it was done towards her or to harm her in some way, she never defined anyone by their past mistakes. She knew if people did that with her, well she would be very much disliked and friendless. “Oh, please. You had me at hello. Or whatever your first word was. You get the point,” she said with a wave of her hand, not recalling how the woman began to speak but she knew what she was getting at. Hopefully. Taking the woman’s inviting hand in hers, feeling their fingers laced up so naturally almost brought back memories as if they were yesterday’s. Butterflies even? She didn’t even know but she liked having Toni back in her life. “Me too, it’s been long enough. Next time you try leaving me, I’ll lock you up and throw away the key,” she teased, resting her head for a mere second over Toni’s before lifting it up again.
