Summary:
blurb of the beginning of Peter and Y/N’s relationship in my version of Y/N Stark 💗 please read the intro linked above to understand some of the topics in this!!
————————————————————————
Y/N Stark was interested in Peter Parker the second her dad had so many stories to tell her about him.
He bragged all about how he knew who Spider-Man was: a genius 16 year old boy who just so happened to go to the same school as her. This perked her attention immediately— she begged for him to tell her, to show her photos, anything!!
Once Y/N figured out that Spider-Man was in fact Peter Parker, she immediately started her hunt. From that day on, Peter was the one she wanted: nerdy, handsome, funny, and so incredibly sweet. Y/N Stark was determined to get anything that she wanted.
The one catch was that he was so awkward. I mean, Y/N spent an entire month flirting, passing notes, bumping shoulders, saying hi, literally EVERYTHING, every single day before she got a full conversation out of this man.
And that one conversation? Completely created from Y/N’s frustration.
————————————————————————
It was 7:00 AM in May. A beautiful day, bright and early. Y/N had pent up anger from her attempts with Peter. She decided that today was the day that she would confront him.
When she entered school that morning, she approached him by his locker, number 279 (she had it memorized, of course). Peter’s best-friend, Ned Leeds, walked away as soon as he saw the angry look in her eyes, and how that angry look was darted right towards Peter Parker himself.
“Peter!” she started with a slightly loud tone, walking his way.
He looked in her direction and was immediately confused. She stopped him in his tracks and her frustration bursted out instantly.
“Why won’t you talk to me?” she asked, a little aggressively.
“What..? I don’t know what you’re say-”
She caught his bluff immediately. “I said, why won’t you talk to me? I’ve been trying to talk to you for so long, and all I get is a small ‘hi, Y/N…’” She mimicked his scaredy-cat greetings.
He was so stunned by this encounter that his words wouldn’t form correctly. Nearby locker-loiterers were even looking in their direction, confused with what Y/N Stark wanted with Peter Parker.
“I don’t… I didn’t know you wanted to talk to me?” Peter said. “I-I’m sorry if I made you angry.”
Y/N let out a light sigh after that. “I don’t need you to apologize…” She tried to think of something that would really make him talk to her. I mean, after all this time, that’s what she deserved, right? And one thing about Y/N Stark is that she will not hold back.
“I’ve just…I’ve been trying to tell you something, Pete…”
Peter, stunned by the new nickname Y/N adorned him and by her hand resting on his shoulder, was incredibly confused. Was she about to tell him the worst or best news of his life?
Even throughout this confusion, Peter couldn’t hide his attraction for Y/N— his bright red face gave it away. Y/N was everything Peter wanted and more in a girl. She was almost like a dream— too good to be true.
“What is it, Y/N?” he replied.
“Peter…” she brought her voice down to a whisper now, “I know your secret.” She said this mysteriously with a massive grin on her face, like she knew this would blow him away.
And to which it did. That sentence completely stunned Peter Parker. He lowered his voice as well and immediately changed his tone.
“W-What are you talking about?”
Y/N laughed. She had never seen Peter so anxious, and that’s saying a lot for Peter Parker!
“Don’t worry, it’s between you and me,” she took a pause and glanced around the hallway. Nobody was watching her. “Spidey…” she giggled as she added this part onto her Peter Parker torment session.
Great. She actually knew. Surprisingly, as much as Peter tried to be upset and scared, he didn’t seem to care too much— a new thing for him.
“I can’t talk to you about this here, Y/N!” Peter told her.
She giggled so hard it made Peter’s heart drop. Her beautiful green eyes and her sparkling brown hair just lit up the room— along with that laugh that sounds like heaven in his ears.
“I’m messing with you Peter, I’m sorry. I just wanted you to know… that I know!”
“I just…how did you find out?”
“Are you serious, Pete?” she deadpanned.
“I mean…I guess I’m not too surprised.” He smiled at her.
“Yeah, you definitely shouldn’t be. No secret is safe when you tell my dad. He just tells me!”
Y/N was right. She was completely and utterly her father’s best-friend: anything told to him was repeated to her the next day, sometimes even in the next few hours.
“Well, is my secret safe with you?” Peter asked, feeling confident.
Y/N caught straight onto this new confidence. She could tell by the glisten of his eyes when they made contact with hers, and the loosening of his posture. He was the most perfect man she’d ever seen. This confidence was the cherry on top that she had been waiting for.
“It depends, Parker…”
“Depends on what??” Peter asked, immediately getting defensive.
She giggled then said, “Depends….on how busy you are tonight?”
“Well, I am pretty busy because I stay out till…” she cut him off before he rambled far too much.
“Are you busy at 2 AM, Peter?”
“No, I shouldn’t be, but it’s a school night…”
“You’re up all night anyways, and so am I!”
“Won’t your dad get angry?”
“That’s why you’re gonna meet me on top of the Stark building.”
“I am?”
“Yep! I’m gonna see you at 2 AM on the dot, and I’m gonna make us chocolate chip cookies!”
“A-are you sure? You won’t be too tired?”
“I’m never tired, Peter. I’m like a ball of energy!” she hinted.
“Okay… it won’t be too out of your way to make the cookies?”
“It takes me about 20 minutes to make them. I’ll be okay, Pete.” She smiled while reassuring him. Y/N absolutely adores how considerate he is, even when he has no reason to be.
“Do you want me to bring anything?”
“I want you to just bring yourself,” she started, putting her hand on the collar of his shirt, “and to stop asking me all these questions. Just come hang out with me!”
“Okay, I’ll be there, Y/N.”
“Perfect. 2 AM.” she said, now playing with the button on his collar.
“2 AM. I’ll be there.” He repeated, looking down at the shorter girl to observe her getting closer to his body, very obviously blushing and still awkward against her touch.
She looked at him and smiled a most genuine smile. Peter could’ve swore his heart melted right then and there.
“I’ll see you later tonight, Parker.” She said, walking down the hall to her biology class.
“Oh- okay….bye Y/N!” He yelled down the hall, with a huge smile on his face.
The most stunning girl he’d ever laid his eyes on, Y/N Stark, wanted something to do with him? A sentence he never thought would be a reality in a million years.
He was always stunned by her beauty, constantly getting lost in her eyes, always noticing the beautiful waves in her hair that she puts so much effort into, the way she did her own nails every 2 weeks, how she dressed extra nice on days where she didn’t feel pretty (which, to Peter, is insane that you even think that). He noticed and observed every trait about her, every little thing she told her friends. He loved every part of her that he was observant enough to know.
Ned, of course, watched the whole interaction from down the hall.
“Dude, did you score a date with Y/N Stark?” He gasped
“Yeah, I think so.”
