âI look in the mirror, and I would say over and over to myself⌠Iâd take a deep breath, put my feet together, raise myself erect, strong like a⌠a hero warrior, and Iâd say, âBiggest-selling album of all time, greatest seller,â over and over to my mind, and look in my eyes. And Iâd mean it⌠I wouldnât accept anything unless this was exactly what I wanted. My attitude was: I want the biggest-selling album of all times, to break records, to do phenomenal work.â â Michael Jackson.
thereâs something almost unsettling about how precise that is. is it just me, or?
not dreamy, not vague, not âi hope this works out.â
itâs controlled.
a young Michael Jackson standing in front of a mirror, not just seeing himself, but rehearsing a future until it stopped feeling like a fantasy and started feeling like fact.
in 1979, at just 21, came alive MJâs manifesto. he wrote about becoming something âmagic,â about shedding the limits people had already placed on him and stepping into a version of himself that didnât exist yet, at least not in the world everyone else could see. but to him, it already did.
and he didnât treat it like a cute idea, rather obsessed over it, repeated it until it burned into him, writing â100 millionâ on mirrors so that every glance forced him to face the standard he set for himself.
with persistence like that, reality caught up.
âThrillerâ didnât just succeed, everyone knows that.. it rewrote what success even looked like. it became the best-selling album of all time, moving tens of millions of copies globally, breaking records that, decades later, are still standing.
a direct echo of something he had already decided years before.
MJ would also lie by the pool in silence, letting ideas come to him, describing it almost like tuning into something beyond himself. he spoke about asking god for inspiration, about feeling like ideas were moving through him, and if he didnât claim them, someone else would. he even named Prince as someone he felt in quiet competition with, like creativity itself was a current you had to catch before it passed you by.
call it imagination, call it discipline, he called it magic.
he didnât wait to believe it after it happened.
he believed it until it had no choice but to happen !!
and if MJ can do it, so can you. cue the receipts!
in another reality you are someone's comfort character. people say you are fake/fictional, but someone argues that you are real. they want nothing more than to shift so they could meet you. a hug from you would be soul healing. when times are tough and they don't have anybody to hug, you are the person they imagine.
you are the reason someone survived going through the depths of hell and back, just purely from the hope they get when thinking about you/ knowing that one day they can meet you. you are the reason someone keeps going. the reason someone decides not to give up.
somebody kins you. when they see you, they are reminded that they are not alone, and that someone out there understands what they are going through. someone understands what YOU are going through.
I know that this is almost common knowledge in the LOA community, however itâs what most people struggle to accept! Itâs something that I have to keep recalling when Iâm having negative thoughts and doubts. Manifestation is immediate and timeless, youâre always manifesting through your assumptions, be it about yourself, about others, about how much you have in your bank account, how youâre perceived. And the best thing is⌠you decide all of those things! I know sometimes itâs hard to maintain this specific state of mind, weâre human after all, of course sometimes weâre going to doubt the law or think negatively. But thatâs what it is, a law. That said, the 3D has to conform, and you also get to decide when.
You canât mess up your manifestation, if you decide you have it then you do!
âOh but I donât see it in the 3Dâ then affirm you do nonetheless!
âItâs taking too longâ affirm that you manifest super quickly!
âWhere are my results?â why are you looking for them when you decided you have it?
Just keep in mind that if you decide that you have it, itâs already yours. Keep reminding yourself of all the amazing things that youâve already manifested and keep going. Itâs okay to have doubts or let your feelings of lack take over, as long as you get back on track naturally, because you know that your desire is already in your reality, you decided it⌠then it is!
You are the creator in your reality, no one gets to decide anything if not you. The âhowâ or âwhenâ doesnât matter, if you decide it, then itâs yours. Keep affirming and in no time youâll see everything materialize right before your eyes!!
yes, that is because they donât change. when shifting the only thing that changes is what reality youâre aware of. shifting is easy, as long as you allow it to be. you are the one in control.
*.ËËË DEILD- The Quickest And Easiest Method To Lucid Dream That I know ´ËË.*
Listennnn, I love the lucid dream method down. It is AND ALWAYS WILL BE my favorite way to shift, apart from the void state.
BUT I know I cannot be the only one struggling to get lucidđŠđ At least I used to struggle before I found DEILD. I found other techniques tedious, having to do constant reality checks during the day felt like a chore and lying completely still in bed for 30+ minutes waiting for my body to fall asleep was quite literally torture to me. IF I could stay awake through it because most times I couldnât or just rolled over and gave up because nothing was happening and I was très uncomfortable.
Iâve tried mild, SSILD, fild, ALL THE âILDSâ every single one and while they are effective, Iâve finally found the technique that works best for me and takes the least amount of time so I thought I would share, just in case it may help someone else!
With this technique youâŚ..
Go from being awake directly into a lucid dream without falling asleep (this is called a wake initiated lucid dream and in my experience I feel more aware and in control with these vs when I randomly become aware in the middle of my dream. They are also easier to remember if you have poor dream recall. )
Are able to start the lucid dream scene in the privacy of your own room so you donât have to worry about trying to shift in the middle of distracting dream scenes or dealing with distracting dream characters
You can save a Lucid dream thatâs been cut short or even have several lucid dreams in one night using this method
Donât need to do reality checks during the day if you donât want to or do any other daytime prep
The whole thing takes 10-30 seconds START TO FINISH!
The techniqueâŚ
*.ËËË DEILD ´ËË.*
Dream Exit Initiated Lucid dream
StepsâŚ
Before bed set the intention that when you wake up you will immediately remember to perform DEILD
Set a touchless alarm to wake you up anywhere from 3-6 hours after falling asleep. I like this one! Maybe put it in a playlist with a lucid dreaming subliminal or theta waves set to play after the alarm goes off to boost your chances of becoming Lucidđ
Go to bed as normal. As I fall asleep I like to imagine myself waking up to the alarm and successfully performing DEILD. Then I imagine myself successfully entering the void from the LD and then successfully waking up in my wr. I loop this sequence until I fall asleep. I do this to help me remember to do the technique the second I wake up, but it is not at all necessary.
Immediately upon waking and hearing the alarm, I try to remember to stay still and not open my eyes. Minimal movement is fine, but weâre trying to convince our body that weâre still asleep! The alarm will shut off on its own.
Wait for what feels like 10 seconds without actually counting (Again, you donât want to activate your Brain and wake yourself up too much )
After it feels like 10 seconds have gone by, do a reality check like the nose pinch test EVEN IF YOU FEEL WIDE AWAKE and donât think you could possibly already be back asleep in only 10 seconds. Most of the time youâll already be in what is called a false awakening-when you think youâre awake in bed but youâre actually dreaming
If you were able to breathe through your closed nose you are now in a lucid dream starting out in your room. You can proceed to shift to your dr in any way you like-some of my go toâs are:
-creating a portal
-entering the void and shifting from there
-entering the astral realm and shifting from there
-waking myself up from the dream but intending to wake up in my dr not my cr
Editors note:
If when you do the nose pinch test, you are still awake, repeat step 6 up to 2 more times. If by this point, you still have not entered a lucid dream, it is best to go back to bed and try again the next time you wake up. This method is very effective but fragile, as it is best performed in that very small hypnopompic window right when you are teetering on the edge of awake and asleep.
Why this method worksâŚ
When you wake up from sleep and donât move or open your eyes, it tricks your body into thinking that youâre still asleep and it puts you back in a dream, even though your mind is actually awake! This is why a touchless alarm is helpful, or you can use natural awakenings.
Troubleshooting the methodâŚ
The hardest part about this method is remembering to stay still as soon as you wake up.
You can set the intention to remember to do so before bed
You can also use prospective memory training during the day (every time you look in a mirror/ drink something/ plug in your phone/ enter a different room etc you can affirm âthe next time I wake up I will immediately remember to perform DEILDâ )
And if you move by mistake or have to use an alarm that needs manually turned off, all is not necessarily lost. itâs still worth trying anyway as long as you think youâll be able to fall back asleep! Just wait 30 seconds instead of 10 before doing a reality check and consider using an anchor to help keep you focused and awake (could be focusing on the sound of the subliminal if you made a playlist, or the sound of a fan etc)
TLDR OF THE TECHNIQUE:
Wake up either naturally or to a touch-less alarm. If you must use a manual alarm, keep movement minimal as to not activate your brain too much.
Lie still with your eyes closed and keep a blank mind for 10-30 seconds
Do a reality check to see if you are lucid dreaming
Shift from the lucid dream

me when I realise I actually donât have to conform to anything in this world or the shitty circumstances in it and I donât have to believe in stuff I donât align with because reality is purely an illusion and imagination is all source of creation so I can basically go and do whatever I want in the stream of the multiverse
whenever iâm unmotivated in my journey ,, i imagine iâm the pathetic / underpowered MC in an anime on the brink of a power arc, while some higher-ranking character yells sense into me over obnoxiously inspiring music. (âĽďšâĽ)

Hi! As I promised, hereâs my method post (the one that also made my friend shift to her DR on her very first try, proud mom mode on). Actually, I was planning to wait until I made it perfect, but it doesnât seem like thatâs gonna happen anytime soon.. (Also even though it did not satisfy me aesthetically, I am sharing it today because the important thing is the content) so if I ever notice something I forgot to add or decide to change later, Iâll just edit the post.
Itâs gonna be a long one, so Iâll try to divide it into sections (red ones), you can skip directly to the part youâre interested in! (But please donât forget to read the âsymptomsâ section first; itâs important so you donât freak out.) Still, Iâd love for you to hear the whole story before the actual method.
First things first, you need to know that you donât need any method to shift. Setting an intention is truly enough. This one isnât exactly a method either, itâs more like something that helps you set your intention more easily (whatever this means) or helps you catch that exact moment between being awake and falling asleep. (Thereâs no ârightâ moment, I just say that to describe it better.) Itâs kinda like wbtb, but not completely.
About this method / backstory: So, where did this method come from, and why is it called âNothingâ? Well, I actually discovered it by accident. I just realized it worked for me. As someone who used to fall asleep all the time and had wrong information about shifting back then, I was almost ready to give up, until I noticed I was getting symptoms again for the first time in ages. I think thatâs when it all started. At that time, I used to fall asleep listening to Alunirâs meditations, and I began experiencing the symptoms Iâll mention soon.
That was back in 2024. After a long break from shifting (you know, Iâm that person who tries to shift on and off, then takes long breaks), when I got back into my shifting era, I managed to make this method more effective for myself, and realized it actually helps me experience everything.
Again, you donât even need a method, finding what works best for you is what matters most. But maybe this could work for someone out there too (hopefully).
As for the name âNothingâ, itâs not because you literally do nothing, but because when I once asked myself, âWhat should I do to shift?â, the answer I got was simply âNothing.â So I said, âFine then, Iâll do nothing.â And thatâs how the âNothingâ method was born.
My Journey / Successes: What Iâm about to write now, everything from 2024, are things I had noted down back then. Iâll share them exactly as they were. So even if I had already shifted before (and honestly, some of these notes make it look like I did), my first intentional and proper shift (without grounding myself) was in 2025, after I opened my Tumblr account and started journaling here!
October 13, 2024: I dreamt about shifting and started getting symptoms (Iâll talk about these in the next section).
October 31, 2024: I got symptoms again, and the meditation sound in the background suddenly turned into a demonic voice (Iâll also explain why thatâs not actually scary in the next part).
November 5, 2024: Experienced the same symptoms again.
November 22, 2024: I shifted inside a dream (it was definitely a dream, but I donât remember it clearly).
December 8, 2024: I remember my ears ringing with pressure.
December 23, 2024: I had a dream where I thought, âIs this what shifting feels like?â Everything was so vivid and clear. (I even wrote in my notes that I could sense everything with all five senses. So if thatâs true, and I remembered it in detail, it was probably a shift, though I canât be 100% sure because itâs been such a long time.)
April 8, 2025: At night, I remember my mom opening my door and asking, âDid you fall asleep yet?â The next morning during breakfast, I asked her if she had really done that, and she said no, she only peeked in quietly but didnât even cover me up because she didnât want to wake me. But I know she asked me that. I saw and heard it clearly, and at that exact moment, I was already feeling the symptoms and even thought, âMom donât distract me, Iâm trying to shift.â So.. it was probably my first real shift. Because it wasnât a dream, and I only realized later that it might have been a shift.
From this point on, the rest of my experiences are from when I consciously started trying this method and I also shared them on Tumblr, so Iâll leave the links too.
October 7, 2025: my first astral experience and shift.
October 8, 2025: my first lucid dream experience.
October 25, 2025: my dream to shift to lucid dream experience.
October 26, 2025: my friendâs first shift.
I also experienced the void state a few times (not sure when though, I donât know why I didnât note it down, or maybe I did and just forgot where I put it).
PS: If I had known back then that I shouldnât be scared of the symptoms and shouldnât focus on them, Iâd probably have shifted intentionally a million times by now, maybe even permashifted. Thatâs why Iâm telling you now: donât focus on symptoms, donât freak out. Youâre safe, and you always will be. Thereâs nothing to be scared of. Iâm saying this because I once wished someone had told me these things.
Possible symptoms and my friendâs shared experiences: The reason I couldnât shift back in 2024 was because I kept focusing on the symptoms (yes, I experienced all of them). So again: Do NOT focus on symptoms. Do NOT freak out. Easier said than done, I know, but remember, none of these things are actually happening to your physical body.
Possible symptoms include:
Ear ringing or pressure in your ears
Heart beating like crazy
Feeling pressure even in your gums or head
Feeling like your body (or a part of it) is floating, my arm did once, but it wasnât physical
Hearing demonic voices or changes in the subliminal/melody youâre listening to
Feeling like you canât breathe
Spiraling (this oneâs kinda weird but itâs like.. leaving your body in a spiral motion, though technically, youâre not âleavingâ it)
Melting
Not feeling your body at all
All of these are normal. You might not feel any of them, or you might feel totally different ones, and thatâs okay too. But if you do feel them, please donât panic and donât focus on them. Just say things like: âIâm safe.â, âIâm able to shift / oobe / astral project.â
Personally, repeating âIâm safeâ throughout the whole process helps me a lot. Itâs what made me have my first oobe and shift. When I felt the symptoms, I didnât panic, I just told myself âIâm safe, I can do thisâ and let it happen.
Before doing this method (Recommendations but not necessary to do it): This part has nothing to do with the method itself, but increasing your awareness for a few days or even a week before shifting (or as long as you want) might help. Throughout the day, you can say affirmations like: âIâm pure consciousness.â âIâm pure awareness.â âIâm more than this reality.â âIâm more than this body.â âIâm in control.â âI can shift anytime I want.â
You can also fall asleep while watching the âDream Machineâ visual (Iâll leave the link here, you donât have to do anything, just play the video, close your eyes, and keep watching the lights behind your eyelids).
Becoming aware of what youâre doing throughout the day can also help raise your awareness. Notice that youâre brushing your teeth when youâre brushing your teeth. Notice that youâre breathing when youâre breathing. Notice that youâre blinking when you blink. Do things consciously, not automatically.
You can also repeat affirmations like: âWith every conscious or unconscious blink, Iâm shifting to my chosen reality.â âWith every conscious or unconscious breath, Iâm becoming a master shifter.â (Which is true, because you already are a master shifter!) Of course, you can change the affirmations to whatever makes you feel more comfortable. The most important thing is to do what feels right for you!
These exercises will help you realize that you are pure consciousness and that you are the one in control. But again, you donât have to follow every single step. The point is to adapt this method to what feels comfortable and natural for you. Doing these steps or not doing them is completely up to you! They might help, or they might not, what truly matters is how they make you feel. Youâre free to skip them if you donât want to!
Method: Okay, about the method. Before you sleep (I recommend doing it before your night sleep, but itâs not necessary, whatever makes you feel comfortable is all that matters!), set your intention like: âIâm choosing to shift tonight, and Iâm sure about it.â It doesnât have to be perfect. Donât overthink whether itâll work or not, just say it and let it go!
And the position doesnât matter at all! You can literally sleep standing on your head if you want to. Â Do whatever makes you feel comfortable. But if you want to avoid focusing too much on your body, you can try lying on your back. (Personally, I just pick whatever position feels most comfortable at the moment.)
Then, before sleeping, weâre gonna play our list! (Which list, Aria?)
First of all, I want you to prepare a playlist on Youtube (or anywhere you prefer). It doesnât have to be super long actually, your shift will probably take around 3 hours max (honestly, not even that long, trust me), but something around 8â10 hours might be better.
So, what should this playlist include? Whatever you want! You can add songs, movies, or even random videos like âeverything you need to know about dinosaurs.â This part is completely personal, the key is that it should keep you slightly aware.
But honestly, I prefer subliminals. Youâre going to sleep with subliminals playing, and weâll also add some silent videos in between. The silence should last just long enough to let you drift into sleep, but not long enough to make you fully fall asleep, it keeps you right in that sweet spot between sleep and wakefulness.
But before that, donât fall asleep right away! You need to fall asleep without realizing it.
Now, there are two versions of this method: with headphones or without headphones.
You can start reading whichever version you want to try, theyâre almost the same except for a few small details.
Without Headphones Version: What I want you to do here is open your playlist and let it play softly in the background. Yes, without headphones. (For this, I really recommend Alunir! You can play one of Alunirâs audios since they also include affirmations, but honestly, it doesnât matter what you choose! Just make sure thereâs a bit of silence in between the sounds, enough to let you fall asleep but not too long. If youâre using Alunirâs meditations, you donât need to add extra silent parts.)
Once youâre lying down and the subliminals are playing in the background, relax your body completely. Donât focus on the subliminal itself. The important thing here is not to fall asleep right away (youâll do that later, but not yet). Just watch the darkness behind your eyelids, literally watch that darkness. And while you do that, you can think or affirm things like: âIâm shifting.â âIâm already in my desired reality.â âIâm pure consciousness.â
You can also say things like: âIâm freeing myself from ego, fear, and doubt.â âI accept and release them, and I allow myself to shift.â
Or anything else that feels comfortable for you. You can change the affirmations depending on your goal, whether itâs lucid dreaming, astral projection, the void, or shifting. But please make sure to say: âIâm pure consciousness.â and âIâm pure awareness.â
For shifting specifically: if possible, try to imagine where youâll wake up, sense the room, the atmosphere, how it feels, whatâs around you. Think about what youâll do when you wake up, whatâs your plan for tomorrow, etc.
If youâre not good at visualization, thatâs totally fine. Just try to stay awake for a bit, because the goal here is for your body to fall asleep while your awareness stays awake. You can remind yourself: âIâm pure consciousness.â
When you feel your current bedsheet, ask your mind: âHow do you even know this is real?â
Play little tricks on your brain, because your brain doesnât actually know whatâs real. If you say âIâm there right now,â itâll believe you. Say âIâm more than this body.â If you hear sounds or voices from your current reality, say: âItâs from my desired reality.â Or âHow do I even know itâs real?â
Trick your mind!
You can also count to 100 if you want, and if you start mixing up the numbers, thatâs fine! Just keep counting from a random number. Youâll probably notice yourself mixing up words or numbers while saying affirmations. When that happens, donât overthink it, donât try to remember where you left off, just continue from any random number or word.
You can move a little too, like turning to your side, thatâs totally okay. Just donât make yourself fully awake again.
At some point, your body will naturally fall asleep no matter how much you resist it. But please, donât say âugh, I canât sleepâ and turn off the subliminals, just let things be. Even if you get frustrated or feel like you canât fall asleep, keep the subliminals on. (As I said, it doesnât even have to be a subliminal, around one hour of audio is usually enough for your body to drift off.)
Because even when you think youâre not asleep, you actually are, your body will fall asleep, and your consciousness will remain aware.
At one point, youâll have that dozed-off moment. If the subliminals wake you up, every time that happens (and make sure you set this intention before sleeping), remind yourself:
âIâm shifting right now.â or âI choose to shift.â
Donât open your eyes, donât stop the music, just go back to sleep.
At some point, your body will fall asleep completely, thatâs basically the whole method. Whether you have a lucid dream, astral project, enter the void, or wake up directly in your DR, I donât know, so just go with whatever feels right for you.
And if you get any symptoms I mentioned earlier, please donât panic! Just tell yourself: âIâm safe. Shifting is safe for me, and I allow it.â
Donât focus on the symptoms! Feeling like youâre flying, floating, or swaying is totally normal, thereâs no earthquake. Just fall asleep again.
You can also set the intention to wake up directly there.
With Headphones Version: What I want you to do here is put on your headphones and start your playlist. (Make sure your headphones are comfortable and wonât bother you while lying down!) I recommend using 40â60 minute subliminals for this, but again, it really doesnât matter what you choose! Just make sure thereâs a bit of silence in between, long enough to help you fall asleep.
Once youâre lying down and the subliminals are playing, completely relax your body. Do not focus on subliminals! The important thing here is not to fall asleep right away (you will later, but not yet).
Just watch the darkness behind your eyelids, literally watch that darkness. While doing that, you can think or affirm things like: âIâm shifting.â âIâm already in my desired reality.â âIâm pure consciousness.â Say things like: âIâm freeing myself from ego, fear, and doubt.â âI accept and release them, and I allow myself to shift.â
Or anything else that feels comfortable for you. You can change the affirmations depending on your goal, lucid dream, astral projection, void, etc. But please make sure to say: âIâm pure consciousness.â and  âIâm pure awareness.â
For shifting: if possible, try to imagine where youâll wake up, sense the room, how it feels, whatâs around you, and what youâre going to do when you wake up. If youâre not great at visualization, thatâs totally fine, just try to stay aware for a while. The goal is for your body to fall asleep while you remain conscious.
I want you to feel like you have an important exam tomorrow, and itâs already 3 a.m., and you only have a short time left to sleep, that exact kind of feeling. Like when youâre half asleep but still alert enough to hear your alarm. That light, sensitive sleep where youâre aware of everything, thatâs exactly what I want.
You can remind yourself: âIâm pure consciousness.â When you feel your bedsheet, ask your brain: âHow do you even know this is real?â Play little tricks on your mind, your brain doesnât actually know whatâs real. If you say âIâm there right now,â itâll believe you. Say: âIâm more than this body.â If you hear voices or sounds from your current reality, say: âItâs from my desired reality.â or âHow do you even know this is real?â
Trick your mind!
You can count to 100 if you want, and if you start mixing up the numbers, thatâs totally fine. Just keep counting from any random number. Youâll probably notice that while saying affirmations, you start mixing up words or numbers, thatâs completely okay. Donât think about where you left off or what comes next, just continue from anywhere.
You can move a little, like turning to your side, thatâs totally fine too. Just donât make yourself fully awake again.
At some point, your body will naturally fall asleep, no matter how much you try to resist it. But please, donât say âugh, I canât sleepâ and turn off the subliminals, just let it be. Even if you get frustrated or feel like you canât fall asleep, keep them playing. (As I said, it doesnât even have to be a subliminal, around 1 hour of sound is usually enough to make your body fall asleep.)
Because even when you think youâre not asleep, you actually are, your body will fall asleep while your consciousness stays awake.
At one point, youâll have that dozed-off moment. If the subliminals wake you up, and make sure you set this intention before sleeping, remind yourself: âIâm shifting right now.â or âI choose to shift.â
Donât open your eyes, donât stop the music, just go back to sleep.
Eventually, your body will fall asleep completely, thatâs basically the method. Whether you end up lucid dreaming, astral projecting, entering the void, or waking up directly in your dr, I donât know, so go with whatever feels right to you.
If you get any of the symptoms I mentioned earlier, please donât panic! Just tell yourself: âIâm safe. Shifting is safe for me, and I allow it.â
Donât focus on the symptoms! Feeling like youâre flying, floating, or swaying is totally normal, thereâs no earthquake. Just fall back asleep.
You can also set the intention to wake up directly there.
Oh, and when the silent subliminal or video starts playing, donât say âwait, did my playlist stop playing?â and check it. (Yes, thatâs from personal experience)
Also, if you shift to a version of your drself whoâs already awake and standing, itâs actually easier to tell that youâve shifted, youâll clearly notice the difference between a dream, lucid dream, astral projection, and a full shift. So donât worry about that!
This method can also work even if you donât do it exactly this way. If youâre super tired, just sleep without thinking anything. (Seriously, if youâre about to fall asleep in a second, do NOT think about anything, just sleep.)
It also works when you wake up during the night! For example, I usually go to bed around 8â9 pm, and when I naturally wake up around 3â4 am,and go back to sleep while thinking âIâm shiftingâ with my playlist still on, it works perfectly.
What should I do if I lucid dream: If it turns into a lucid dream, people usually say to make a portal, but for me, just thinking about my dr was enough. Just tell yourself youâre shifting, and youâll be there. The melting or spiraling feeling is totally normal, do not panic! (Also, to get out of the lucid state, you can shift to a random place first and then move from there to your dr, that was easier for me.)
What should I do if I astral/oobe: If it turns into astral projection, donât panic, especially if you feel ear ringing, pressure, or your heart beating fast. Those are all normal. Keep telling yourself youâre safe! Spiraling sensations are also normal. If your goal is to shift to your dr, just think about it, youâll get there. And believe me, youâll have plenty of time to think, so stay calm. DO NOT PANIC. Youâre not actually feeling those symptoms in your physical body. And even if it is astral, if you say âI want to shift to my drâ you will.
What should I do if I get into the void: If you see light or lights, focus on one of them and follow it, itâll keep growing, and youâll find yourself in the void. From there on, do whatever you want! Iâve never shifted from the void, but probably just thinking about your dr will be enough. (And donât forget to remind yourself that youâre safe and calm!)
I successfully shifted but my vision is blurry: If your vision is blurry (like youâre looking through frosted glass) when you shift or if you canât feel all five senses, donât freak out, stay calm and donât think about going back. Focus on your breathing, touch something hot or cold, or gently pinch yourself (not hard enough to hurt) thatâll help you ground yourself there. (I still havenât shifted to my dr, I did shift once, but I freaked out, didnât ground myself, and ended up in a random reality before realizing I was in my dr. Thatâs why I donât ground myself to random realities, but people say it helps, so if you shift, and you probably will, you can try it!)
If you ever feel panic like âitâs too real, how do I come back?â, donât say you want to return. Just remind yourself: âIâm safe, I can return whenever I want.â Also, be open to random shifts if you want! Just to prove to yourself that itâs real (itâs honestly funny, you should give it a try).
Ps 1: If I forget to mention something, Iâll edit this post later, no point in making you wait longer! And if you have any questions, please use the ask box since I sometimes miss the comments.
Ps 2: I worked really hard on this post, so I really hope youâll shift, otherwise, Iâll haunt you and make you shift. (I want everyone to experience shifting! Even if we have the same s/o, everyone deserves to feel it! And technically, we are shifting at any moment unintentionally, so shift intentionallt this time!) Especially try it on 11.11, please! And if it doesnât work on your first try (which it probably will), please give this method a few more chances. Try again after some time, because methods donât make you shift, they just help.
This one, though, isnât really a method, itâs more like a tool that helps you catch that thin line between sleep and wakefulness more easily.
Try it in different states: when youâre super tired, fully awake, or somewhere in between, adjust it to what feels best for you!
Thank you so much for reading and waiting for this post! And I truly appreciate you for trusting me.
Persistence for people who hate persistence (how to actually persist and feel like youâre doing something)
Is this a safe space for me to say I hate persistence? Because I do. I hate it. I hate it I hate it I hate it so much that every time I hear âjust persist!!â I want to scream.
You repeat âI already have itâ and then you immediately start scanning for evidence visually, physically, emotionally. Your awareness wants proof. And when it doesnât see proof, you start the mental loop again, reminding yourself that proof is the intention, that you have to persist, that you have to believe, etc. It becomes exhausting because itâs all happening in the head. Couple that with the thousand other things you already have going on in there, and yeah, it sucks lol.
Donât get me wrong, obviously persistence is vitalâ but theteâs more than one way to go about it. Itâs tedious because mental persistence exists only in the abstract (your thoughts), while awareness naturally anchors itself to the tangible (what you can see, touch, hear, etc). And it thrives on continuity.
We all know persistence isnât about forcing belief, but more so reminding yourself of whatâs already yours, right?
Well I took that literally a few days ago, and decided to test out a method. Usually when I want to remember something, I write it down on my hand. (Because I have the brain of a squirrel. If the task isnât right in front of my face, Iâll forget it).
So Iâve been persisting by turning my desire(s) into physical reminders. I literally write what I want (already have..) on my hand to make sure itâs âin-my-faceâ every time I move. That way it becomes part of the environment, part of the now. And when I canât write it on my hand, Iâll scribble it on a piece of paper or assign it to an object nearbyâwhateverâs closest.
There was something I wanted resolved as quickly as possible, so I wrote down on my hand âXYZ isnât a problem anymoreâ and glanced at it consciously every few minutes until the action became unconscious. Seriously, I would just glance at it for less than a second, acknowledge it was there, nod and go about my day. I wasnât hung up on what was written, and I genuinely did use this as a reminder. Not a magic thing that was going to grant me my desire. The point of this is to treat it as a reminder, or like test answers you scribbled on your palm before an exam.
Then, as of yesterday, it worked! The thing I wanted actually came true. Though Iâm not surprised, since I essentially tricked my awareness into literally observing the desired outcome 24/7. Until it stopped feeling like something I wanted, and just felt like something that was.
Why this works:
First of all, it feels like youâre DOING something, because every time you glance at your physical cue, itâs like pressing a button. This is because the action instantly re-orients your awareness, and acts like an anchor to your chosen outcome.
Second, your awareness doesnât care about whatâs âtrue,â it cares about whatâs present. Whateverâs in front of your eyes, your awareness treats as real. This is why songs and movies can make you cry, dreams trigger adrenaline, and imagination sparks strong emotions such as anger.
That means when youâre looping affirmations in your head, youâre basically trying to talk awareness into something,, but language isnât its natural format. Perception is. Awareness speaks in what you sense as being there.
When you loop affirmations, awareness doesnât care how you feel about them, it cares how you perceive them. You can say âIâm richâ all you want, but if your awareness still perceives that as something distant or hypothetical, itâll keep generating the version of reality where itâs distant or hypothetical. But if you say âIâm richâ from the stance that itâs already part of whatâs real, part of whatâs happening, in the process of unfolding âthen thatâs what awareness picks up as continuity.
So instead of affirming âI have the ability to shiftâ in your mind, you could write it down/turn it into a visual anchor. Every time you look, awareness reaffirms: âThis exists right now, this is whatâs happening.â
Thatâs because awareness thrives on continuity. It craves consistency the way gravity craves mass, and like toddlers crave cheetos. Whatever falls into your perception, it treats as a constant,, like a fixed variable it has to keep generating to preserve the continuity flow of your reality. In other words, awareness keeps rendering what itâs already observing (Or, for the multiverse crowd, it keeps you anchored to the version of reality where those constants make sense.)
Thatâs why when you adopt a cat, it doesnât just appear once and vanish. Awareness registers: âoh hey this cat exists here now and we have to take care of itâ âand from that moment on, it keeps placing you in realities where the cat continues to exist.
The same thing happens when you write your end goal on your hand. Awareness registers it as a new variable, then immediately files it under âconstant,â something that belongs to the fabric of your reality. From that point on, it keeps generating versions of reality where that cue remains true, and by extension, so does the outcome it symbolizes.
Kinda like youâre guiding awareness and telling it exactly which reality itâs in. Itâs like hanging a family photo on your wall. Your awareness doesnât just register âa photo exists,â it registers âthese people exist,â âthis relationship exists,â âthis home exists.â The image implies the story behind it, so the awareness keeps seeking a world where that story stays consistent.
Itâs also like having the answer key sitting next to your exam. Normally, persistence is like trying to remember the answer and wracking your brain to recall what you already studied. But visual persistence is like glancing at the paper and going âOhh right, itâs B.â
Your awareness only ever confirms what you feed it. If you show it lack in perception, it confirms lack. If you show it the desire being presentâliterally, visually, physicallyâit syncs to that.
So when you create a visual anchor like a phrase on your hand, a note on your wall, an object tied to your intention,, youâve already placed yourself in the version of reality where that thing exists. Awareness doesnât question whether itâs symbolic or literal, because it just registers âthis is here.â
And once something is here, awareness has no choice but to seek the matching conditions that make sense of it.
In sum
You keep seeing the cue â awareness absorbs it, recognizes it as part of this reality â so the next rendered moment/reality youâre in, has to include it too. Thatâs how persistence works!! Through sustained presence.
And no, it doesnât mean youâll just keep seeing the same hand with the same phrase forever. The point isnât the object, but the observation. The cue keeps you anchored in a version of reality where that statement is real, so everything else naturally reorganizes around it. Reality shifts because your awareness does, not because you stared at your hand long enough.
My method as a girl whoâs shifted more times than she can count .
cute lil disclaimer, i do not believe methods can bring you to your dr on its own, but i do think they can help you get into a good place mentally when trying!
Also, my previous account was terminated, so if this looks familiar, itâs because itâs a repost (third repost to be exactâŚ)
Last thing, if this doesnât work for you, donât fret . It probably just wasnât your cup of tea, and thatâs fine . Now, onto the method !
001. make a playlist . It doesnât matter what songs you put, as long as they resonate with you/your dr, itâs fine . I recommend making a pretty lengthy playlist cause youâre gonna be there a while .
002. Close your eyes and meditate for a bit . Think about what you did that day in your cr, how you felt, what you smelt, doesnât matter . let your mind roam freely about your cr , because this will be the last time you think about it for the rest of the method .
003. After a few songs, begin to count to 100 . It doesnât matter how, just get to 100 . i typically count up with my breaths, but it doesnât matter .
004. as you count, begin to affirm you are in your dr . say where you are, what your name is, what youâre currently doing, etc . â i am in my dr.â âMy name is.â
005. Now, once youâre done affirming, i want you to think exactly like your dr self . think about what youâre gonna do that day, who youâre gonna be with, what youâre gonna do, etc . speak in first person here . âIâm so excited to go to that bakery ___ was telling me about.â âMe and my mom ____.â
006. Sooo, by this point, you should be in your dr!
You can also make this an asleep method and just sleep as your saying where you are and what youâre doing !!
3 things Iâd tell past me who was struggling with shifting/manifesting
This is pretty harsh and definitely not sugar-coated, because itâs legitimately what I would tell MYSELF in the past. If you donât like yelling ⌠please skip this one lol. Iâm the pseudo-target, because she had some ridiculous views of herself, her journey and reality. Written after reading some old journal entries, so this is what Iâd tell that past version of me to snap myself out of it if I couldâknowing what I know now that I shift frequently. Could be helpful for someone else too, but donât take anything to heart, because these are pretty opinion-specific <3
1) Why are you accepting anything else?
Shifting isnât some magical teleportation to another place. Manifesting isnât gaining magical powers and being done with it. Itâs a metamorphosis, like it or not. Itâs an identity-level mutation, because now youâre no longer a part of the crowd who has accepted one singular reality. Or that manifestation is âtoo good to be true.â Hello?? Thatâs not you anymore!
Why are you accepting that youâre just lost and the answer is out there somewhere? That youâre this doomed person whoâs been trying for years? Why are you accepting this identity?? And donât even come at me with the excuses that youâve âdone everything but nothing works,â because right there you ARE accepting it as an identityâsaying âhey yeah, Iâm the person who keeps trying but nothing works and Iâm lost.â Why is THAT the identity youâre giving yourself??
For lack of better words: have some dignity! Lead with arrogant pride! Be stubbborn! Inflate your ego and refuse to label whatever youâre going through as failure. This is not the time to be humble and accepting, even in definition. âIâm someone whoâs struggling and canât get anything right.â HELLO?
I know youâre someone whoâs honest and logical, so letâs put aside the law of assumption for a second here and look at it âlogicallyâ because it is basic.
If you say youâre stuckâyouâll talk, think, and act like someone whoâs stuck.
If you say youâre lostâyouâll start moving through life like a person whoâs lost, second-guessing and looking for signs instead of making decisions. Because if you accept that youâre lost, youâre going to take the actions and think like someone whoâs lost.
The way you translate reality cues your mind; your mind cues your behavior; your behavior cues your reality. Like an ouroboros. Yes, Clover, how unfortunate it is that you canât act like you donât know shit 24/7, and then MAGICALLY KNOW SHIT. YOUâRE NOT EVEN MANIFESTING TO MAGICALLY KNOW SHIT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING.
The moment you decide youâre not stuck, not lost, not tryingâyou will start to take actions accordingly. This means that, for example, youâll decide what needs to be done next instead of searching for the key outside of you. Youâll perceive the lack, mixed signals or signs as part of your intention being fulfilled. Instead of treating it as evidence that you're stuck or don't know what you're doing.
But then you sit there and think âGee, I already did everything. And everything I do wonât give me results, so I need a key, an answer, a light.â WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? THATâS THE IDENTITY YOUâRE GOING TO ACCEPT?? Youâre going to excuse this as âOh, but this isnât helpful because I donât know what to do anyway, so I guess Iâm stuck.â
I need you. To wake up. Like actually wake up.
2) Youâve been given the key a hundred damn times already. A hundred.
Sometimes itâs called the law of assumption, sometimes itâs called letting go and trusting itâs already yours, sometimes itâs a method that tells you to just know itâs already working, sometimes itâs âact as if,â sometimes itâs âlive in the end,â sometimes itâs âpersist,â sometimes itâs try to achieve this altered state through trial and error. But itâs all the same truth dressed in different costumes: what you want is already yours in some form, and you align by knowing that. YOU. No one else can do it for you.
You sitting there wearing the identity of someone whoâs lost, hopeless, searching, waiting for a savior will not cut it. It never did. Itâs not about effortâbecause effort is hit or miss, and sometimes it happens in the moments you least expect it, without lifting a finger.
But do you know why that happens without lifting a finger?? Itâs because for a split second, you dropped the damn story and you werenât TRYING, you were beingâeven if you were being exhausted and over it. At least you werenât begging and rehearsing that youâre the âone who canât shift.â You just existed in a state where the prediction of failure didnât interfere anymore. Why else do you think you can go to sleep randomly, not expecting anything, and shift?? Manifest without trying??
There is no time, no space, no justification for dropping the assumption, intention, identity, observationâwhatever name you give itâjust because it didnât yield instant results. None. Zero. Why? Because, again, this shit is a metamorphosis. You are no longer the person constrained to one reality, one outcome, one timeline. YOU UNCOVERED THE TRUTH.
Every time that you slip back into the old story, youâre rehearsing your defeat. I do not mean you have to ignore your reality, or your circumstances. Thatâs not necessary. Whatâs necessary is waking up and altering how you perceive whatâs going on around you. Because the moment you intend to have something:
3) You are never not in the process of getting what you want. Never. Ever ever ever ever.
You may hate the term âprocess,â let this be my filthy propaganda to indoctrinate you. Please let shifting be a process. Let manifestation be a process. Because the answer to everything is to treat it like itâs part of the process. And I do mean everything.
âThe shifting method didnât work.â Part of the process.
âIâm manifesting this person but they wonât text me back.â Part of the process.
âI fell asleep before finishing the method.â Part of the process.
âI feel nothingâs happening.â Still the process.
âI reacted. I cried. I spiraled.â All of it, part of the process.
Every high, every relapse, every agonizing day that feels like nothingâs changing and you donât know what youâre doingâpart of the process. Why? Because:
The second you decide youâre in the reality where it works and start acting accordingly. You claim every single thing that happens as part of the process confirming that your intention is being fulfilled, so thatâs now the world you live in.
Awareness begins filtering the world through that lens. Literally. Because youâve signaled to your awareness that âhey weâre in the reality where we get what we intend, so everything we see from now on is a part of that,â now the yellow brick road path opens up and reality has no choice BUT to lead you where you want.
The trick is to stop treating whatâs happening as a mistake. The moment you drop that label, your awareness stops scanning for failure, starts validating progress and observing reality accordingly.
Intention is actionâ not metaphorically, but functionally. The instant you set an intention, awareness shifts its focal point and reorganizes perception, behavior, and probability around the new reference. And action inevitability breeds what? AN OUTCOME. How the flying fuck are you gonna intend to shift and not shift? What are you worried about?? Never learning the âhowâ ?? News flash: the how is born from the intention, never the other way around.
When you set an intention, you create a reference point that awareness now has to bridge itself toward. That bridge (the sequence of events, ideas, coincidences, impulses, whatever) is the âhow.â
But how are you going to cross that bridge if you still identify with being doomed and stuck?? Youâre allowed to have any self concept you want. A negative one wonât stop you from shifting, least of all manifestingâ BUT LEAST acknowledge youâre in the process of shifting.
And donât acknowledge anything else!! BECAUSE NOW THE BRIDGE TOWARDS THAT IS BEING BUILT INSTEAD!!
âI feel stuck and miserable, but at least Itâs already unfoldingâ >> âI feel stuck and miserable, plus I donât know what to do.â
The former is gonna lead you towards the âhowâ.
âBut a process implies that I donât have it yet,â âa process implies itâs not instant.â
Dude, even instant things are a process. Blinking is âinstant,â and yet if you take into account the muscles contracting, the nerves, the brain signalingâitâs still a process. The second you intended to have it, instantly it became yours in your awareness, in your reality. But even if it were to show up 1 second or 1 week laterâ it would be a process either way.
Let yourself breathe and accept that youâre in the process of shifting/manifesting. The alternative is constantly flipping between âshiftedâ and ânot shifted,â âmanifestedâ and âdidnât manifest.â As if itâs that black and white. Itâs not. It never is. What feels better? Sitting there telling yourself you donât have your manifestation yet, that you donât know what youâre doing wrongâor saying that you do have it, youâre just in the process of it unfolding?
Why are you accepting anything else?? Why would you, now knowing that itâs unfolding, approach advice hoping itâll be the key thatâll make you shiftâ and then abandon it 2 seconds later when the words you read didnât magically spawn you into your DR? Do you have any idea how insane you look? When you know that reality is literally whatever you make it to be? Do you? (yâall, I didnât).
The way you observe realityâ be it through the law of assumption, law of attraction, non-duality, idkâit matters. It unfortunately matters. My god I wish it didnât, but it matters.
So at least, AT LEAST acknowledge that youâre in the process of it unfolding. Just like wavering, contradicting yourself, doubting, and crying wonât stop you from shifting, calling this thing a process wonât delay it.
If anything, it makes it happen faster. Because now youâre defining every moment (the wins, the fails, the lows, the breakthroughs) as part of the process of getting what you want. That automatically tells your awareness itâs observing a reality where itâs inevitably yours. So itâs already guaranteed.
Your ONLY job is to not accept anything else. ... OH! There you go again, saying you âdonât understand, donât know what to do, that youâre lostâ when YOU KNOW FULL WELL THAT âMETAPHYSICS ASIDEâ IF YOU ACT LIKE A PERSON WHOâS LOST, YOUâRE GOING TO TAKE ACTIONS OF A PERSON WHOâS LOST MOTHER FUCJCJDHSHS
Anyway yeah this is what Iâd tell myself. And then Iâd go make myself coffee and dump Baileys in it....
A collection of hacks/techniques/ methods/ whatever you wanna call it to let the body fall asleep while you stay aware. Iâve built this over the past year of shifting to different realities and learning how to control what my awareness experiences. They also work super well for lucid dreaming, the void state, astral projection, sleep paralysis, deep meditationâbasically anything that requires consciousness without a body. There are probably better ones online, but these are the ones that worked for me.
Iâll probably expand on specific ones in this list in the future, but for now I just want them all compiled into a list. Once your physical form and surroundings dissolve, awareness has nothing to cling to. Whatâs left is blank and perfect as an open canvas for whatever you want to project onto your awareness :)
1. Counting
The most basic no-brainer. Iâm only adding this here because I recently discovered a little hack to stop yourself from drifting off and losing track of the numbers. What helps is to hold the next ten in your mind as the entire goal. For example, if youâre at 23, focus on reaching 30 and even visualize it in your mind if you can. It keeps the mind just active enough to stay engaged while the body falls asleep.
2. Working with your eyes
Too many ways to do this. Focusing on the black behind your eyelids and directing all your focus and attention to it until it feels infinite is a great one. Gently moving your eyes up, down, left, right when they start to slacken (your eyes slacking, getting comfortable, or zoning out is your cue: body wants sleep). Doing fake blinks is another great one (doing the blinking motions with them closed, causing them to twitch). Thereâs also keeping them half-open or even fully open in the darkâopening and closing them periodically every time you feel yourself start to fade. Fun fact: if you keep staring at the darkness long enough, that darkness starts to move back :)
3. Moving your head...moving any limb actually
This oneâs weird but gold. I came across it recently and tried it again to see if it was a set-in-stone thing. Turns out it is. You wake up in the middle of the night when youâre tired as hell and barely awakeâ then you lightly roll your head side to side, not really moving your neck but more like rocking your head on the pillow. Idk what this can do for you, but for me it triggers that slide-to-the-side feeling people talk about in astral projection, like your consciousness slipping sideways out of your skull. Iâve also had astral projection/lucid dream entries in the past where Iâve lightly moved my foot during WBTB, and that also triggered something....so,, itâ,s effective.
4. Committing to a single position in bed
Whether youâre on your back, side, whateverâpick one and refuse to move. Donât roll over, donât try to find comfort. If youâre like me and instantly fall asleep after adjusting once, this oneâs a godsend. Staying locked in one position, especially when youâre a little uncomfortable, lets the body give up faster. It drifts off while your mind keeps running in the background, perfectly awake, because youâre uncomfortable as hell.
5. Treating hypnagogia as a signpost
UNDERRATED. You know when you feel all the symptoms, like your body floating, hearing shit, feeling tilted, seeing weird shapes or visuals behind your eyes? Thatâs already your bodyâs natural, normal way of saying âhey, Iâm falling tf asleep.â Itâs free, comes with the system built in. The issue is people treat the symptoms as âI have to shift/AP/etc NOW because this is my only chance,â and then when they fade, you get mad because it didnât work, and you roll over and go to sleep. Yeah, thatâs like mining and reaching diamonds, but because the diamonds arenât already cut into the shape of a star, you throw them out. Iâd love to rip a hole through time, reach back and grab past-me who used to give up after hypnagogia symptoms faded, and slap her, because IF MY GOAL WAS MIND AWAKE/BODY ASLEEP, AND I REACHED THE SIGN THAT SAID âHEY CLO YOUR BODY IS FALLING ASLEEP WHILE YOUR MIND IS AWAKEââ WHY. TF. DIDNâT I JUST KEEP GOING?
6. Setting alarms every hour of the night
Okay listen, this one is chaotic but genius. If your main problem is knocking out too fast, this hell-bent hack makes sure you donât. Set alarms for every hour of the night. Yes, every hour. You run the real risk of not getting a wink of sleep, but if youâve ever tried WBTB and been struck by +100 instant sleep, this is the way. I tested it recently: drifted off once, alarm woke me up, but then because I knew another alarm was coming, I couldnât fully fall back asleep. So I just lied there, mind running, body done for and needing sleep. By the next alarm cycle, my body was desperate to sleep but my mind refused because it was completely alert, waitingâso I fell straight into the void just by existing.
7. Saying âfuck it, Iâm not going to sleepâ and committing to it
This one works too well, lol. Basically, you mentally commit to full-on sleep deprivation and genuinely accept that your goal is to not fall asleep at allâto stay awake the entire night. Forget about shifting, astral projection, void, whatever. Just decide youâre not sleeping. And your body goes âI think tf not,â and promptly knocks itself out while your mind stays awake. Best done during WBTB, imo.
8. Music
Ridiculously good for MABA because you can reach hypnagogia with it so easily. You donât even have to do anything, just listen to whatever song you wantâ but itâd be great if the song reminds you of your end-goal (shifting, the void, w/e). You can be deep in thought, zoning out and daydreaming to the song, when suddenly you feel hypnagogia symptoms and/or straight up falling into an altered state. Also, donât worry about the actual sound; your awareness adjusts, and the music fades naturally as your perception shifts.
9. REM rebound
Beloved REM rebound <3 Sleep deprivationâs golden child. You stay awake way past your normal bedtime until youâve only got around 2â3 hours left before you have to get up. By then, your brain is starving for REM sleep. When you finally lie down, your body plummets straight into REM almost instantly instead of cycling through the usual sleep stages. And because your mind is so primed for dreaming, this is a perfect time to induce MABA.
10. Lying still and not moving
But not in the 2020 shifttok âif you move you failedâ way. Lying still is golden, especially when itâs WBTB and you wake up almost falling asleep. But you can move. The world wonât end if you do. I learned that focusing on making your body fall asleep >> making your mind stay awake. What slips me into MABA is waking up during some fuck-ass hour for WBTB, when my eyes feel all scratchy and want to close (you know that feeling when theyâll barely even open?). Then I just lie really still, but the point is to get comfortable and watch the body. Youâll literally feel it go numb as it falls asleep. After that, the surroundings start to fade, weird sensations start happening, you might feel pressure, sinking, floating, vibrationsâor nothing at all, and then out of nowhere youâre in an altered state.
11. Trying to sleep with light in the room
You can go full overhead light if youâre brave, but personally Iâve had the weirdest results using my phone flashlight face up on the pillow beside me. It keeps the room dim enough for comfort, but bright enough for discomfort. If youâve got fairy lights, those work great too! (Iâd try mine, but I have an irrational fear theyâll catch fire) Anyway, just lie there and try to sleep with the light on. I always end up getting all the hypnagogic symptoms with the mind wanting to sleep but getting confused by the light. Usually I drift off and wake up a few times because of it, but I keep refusing to give in. Eventually, the mind says âfuck itâ and stays awake while the body says âfuck itâ and goes to sleep.
12. Listening to affirmations while you sleep
Iâll link the two Alunir affirmation videos Iâve actually shifted with (here) and (here). Basically, Iâd either fall asleep with them on or use them after WBTB. The only problem was that I hated them at first, because theyâd keep me awake and uncomfortable. But every single time I slept with them on, Iâd start hearing affirmations inside my dream, then wake up in the dream, fall into an altered state, OR Iâd wake up hypnopompic and the affirmations were like anchors that plunged me into a lucid dream or the void.
13. Physical anchors
Look, Iâm not condoning this one, but Iâm being honest. There are tons of physical anchors that work if you stay awake easilyâ like sleeping in too many layers, putting a marble in your sock, not using a pillow, falling asleep with something heavy on you like a book, or sleeping too hot or too cold. Those all can work, and thereâs probably more. I, unfortunately, can sleep through anything, so most of them did nothing for me.....all except for one.
I fell asleep with a clothespin on my finger (yes, the wise among us are already going âoh noâ). It kept me awake for a bit, I got all the symptoms, but eventually I did fall asleep. Three hours later I woke up to find my finger completely drained of blood. I unclipped the pin, lied there half-asleep, half-freaking-out, trying to get circulation back while thinking âfuck fuck fuck fuckâ and SOMEHOW, that mix of adrenaline and exhaustion slipped me right into an altered state. I actually shifted that night.
âWow Clover, the things you did to try to shift early on were crazy.â Friend this was two months ago. Iâm a dumbass. Part of the fun of shifting for me is finding new ways to do it. Anyway, do I recommend this? Absolutely not. What I do recommend is finding a physical anchor thatâs safe and sustainable for you. Theyâre annoyingly effective. Just...seriously....donât try the clothespin thing and then come blaming me for any disasters. âOh I lost a finger because this strange girl on the internet told me I could shift realities this wayâ this is not a conversation I want to have with CNN.
14. Use the reticular activating system
The reticular activating system is the part of your brain that keeps track of your surroundings even while you sleep. It filters through sounds, touch, light, even emotional significance, and flags what might be important enough to wake you up or keep you half-awake. So when you put something under your pillow (like a notebook, a coin, a note, any object) your RAS says âhuh thatâs different.â It keeps awareness running even while the rest of your body falls asleep. Itâs the same reason you can sleep through one thing but instantly wake up because of another.
To use this, put something your awareness canât ignore under your pillow. I put my (annoying, thick) shifting notebook there, and it automatically made me think about it even half-asleep. Iâve hit MABA twice this week from that alone. But it could be anything, like a random spoon, a coin, a piece of jewelry, a note with something written on it, ....or even your phone, turned on, maybe with the flashlight (help is that a fire hazard?). The key is that your RAS keeps pinging that object in the background.
15. Pavlov yourself with a song
I swear by this one but I never really talk about it because it sounds a little insane until you try it. Basically, loop one song all day nonstop. Same song over and over while you go about your day, until your brain gets sick of it but itâs still playing in your head anyway. Youâre basically conditioning yourself so by the time night hits, the song is burned into your skull. So when you lie down and start drifting off, it keeps auto-playing in your head without effort, like your brain canât let it go. And because youâre mentally singing or hearing it on repeat, your mind stays just active enough to avoid shutting down with your body. The most recent one for me was with Misery Business , I listened to it the entire day because I get hyper-fixated on songs that give me DR memories, the emotions, all of it. I had it on repeat for hours,, then when I went to bed (at like 3 am lmao), I was still hearing it in my head. That automatic loop pulled me straight into MABA, and from there I actually managed to shift back to my main DR.
Pointers (in my opinion)
For people who fall asleep easily: your mission is to make the sleep setup hostile, not ideal, just enough that your body craves sleep but your mind keeps screaming âAHHHH.â
For people who donât fall asleep easily: focus on comfort and commitment to resting, but not sleeping. Insomnia can actually be your secret weapon if youâre stubborn enough to choose sleep deprivation over not (insert desire).
For some god-forsaken reason, not caring about the outcome and being open to failure is highly effective. If you approach things with âeh, fuck it, Iâm okay with failureâ, youâre not forcing your awareness to perform a life-or-death coin tossâ where if you get heads instead of tails, the little tricycle puppet from SAW will appear to collect your soul. Youâre allowing the possibility of letting the coin roll under the couch, because for all you know, there could be a pot of gold under there.
Will any of these guarantee anything? Letâs be real, the path to failure is paved with ignorance. Your road will stay foggy if you keep putting blind faith in methods instead of yourself. Thinking something outside of you will get you to your destination is a hamster wheelâ and not a fun one. Donât be a passenger complaining about the route while the self-driving Tesla drives you straight into a lake.
The way Iâve been shifting/ lucid dreaming/ even accidentally reaching the void lately isnât by doing a specific method. I honestly just have the intention to shift, then lie down with âwhatever tf happens is part of me shiftingâ so I treat everything as such. Everything I listed here are just things that happened to come up in the moment, or experiments I ran out of curiosity. The best course of action to take is ALWAYS, always to not put pressure on yourself. Unless youâre shifting to be a helium balloon, you donât need pressure.
Law of assumption, religion, non-duality, law of attraction, shifting, manifestation = all just frameworks through which you observe reality, and those observations determine your experience.
Your current circumstances = not your fault, and entirely subject to change.
Acknowledging that reality can be changed = observing the timeline where change is possible.
Acknowledging that it cannot be changed and that youâre stuck = observing the timeline where thatâs true, where nothing moves because youâve decided it canât.
Having an intention to shift, manifest, or receive something = the moment it becomes inevitable, no matter how long it takes to materialize.
If weâre talking inevitability, you immediately slap the evitability label on it with âbut itâll take three years, but itâll take time, but I canât do it nowâ
The point is that either way, itâs coming, because itâs inevitable. Whether something you intend happens in 3 hours, 3 minutes, or 3 weeks, the fact remains: it was going to happen either way, and thereâs nothing you can do to stop it if you want it.
That alone should dissolve the whole obsession with âwhat do I do,â âhow do I do it,â and all that, because once you fully accept that itâs inevitable and your work is done, you start observing reality as it already is: the shift is inevitable and hurtling toward you at 100 mph.
And that mindset, ironically, is what makes it âhappen faster,â because youâre no longer denying the arrival, youâre just bracing for it.
But the moment you start filtering it through the âitâs inevitable, but itâll take timeâ lens, youâre sabotaging yourself. Youâre not just observing inevitability, but now youâre assigning a timeframe to it.
Which, if reality= whatever you observe,,,ᒊ($;":"!*crashing out noises*
Instead of letting it flow in naturally, youâre building a schedule around it. The second you stop caring about the time, you erase it as an observed factor, and thatâs when everything starts sliding into place.
NOW.
Sure, you can respond to all of this with a âyeah, butââ and list every reason why it doesnât apply to you. BUT THE MOMENT YOU DO THAT, youâre observing the but as justification for why you canât, why youâre stuck, why youâre the exception. Instead of realizing that you can still change despite whatever conditions youâre naming. The âbutâ doesnât negate the point, it just reveals where youâve decided to stop observing possibility.
AND, WHILE IâM AT IT
People think manifestation or shifting requires this massive leap in observation. It doesnât. The moment you recognize your ability (not the final result, not the perfect scenario, just your capacity to alter things) youâve already changed them. And when you look back later, itâll look like a huge jump. But it always started from that tiny decision to observe your own power instead of your own limitation despite what your surroundings tell you.
Now, if youâre already doing all this and have been for a whileâ then your only job now is to finally believe that itâs all enough. Anything beyond that is you observing that itâs not enough.
