So today was another busy day. We actually went into the city centre where I sorted out a mobile phone contract and some other boring document-y stuff. I love Groningen city centre it's just beautiful and diverse and lovely. 

Also pub this evening. The Ugly Duck is a good place for food and drink. I am very tired and the wrath of my cold rages onwards and please. I've been drinking orange juice (and wine) to make it go away. Please, cold, please stop making me snotty.

8th August 2013

Today I arrived in Groningen where I'll be spending the next few years at university. We had to get up at 2am to catch the Euro tunnel and now I'm just tired and cranky. I like my accommodation. My room is a nice size and after unpacking I think I've made it homely enough... It's actually bigger than my bedroom at home, so that's something. I'll post some photos later. 

We went shopping, so hopefully I've got enough supplies for a little while. I'll mostly be living off pasta and soup. Clothes washing is a thing that may happen depending on how lazy I am. Obviously I'll keep on top of my dish washing otherwise that's just gross (although I will be doing things like just brushing the crumbs off if I've only eaten a sandwich because that doesn't need washing). 

It's creepy quiet here though, as most people won't get here until the end of August.
