Congratulations Dr. Seon Yul or do you prefer Dr. Jacob? Not only you are the most famous cardiologist in Germany but voted also as the sexiest man in the Medical world here, too, and your fans especially your students were a bit sad when you were erased from the most eligible bachelor's list this year.
Seon Yul's other name in Germany is Jacob.
"Well, thank you, Mia. I am sorry if I made them sad, you have to blame my wife for that mainly" He laughed so hard and blushed.
People were shocked you are married already- the interviewer said. Seon Yul smiled and answered back while showing his ring "Yes, 2 years now". I didn't know this is a thing in Germany, this list. I came here only to work. So, I was married already when I began teaching and made this splash if you will.
And work you did and more, Doctor Genius. You are the youngest cardiologist to be voted number one this month and nominee for a prestigious award. They call you Doctor AI now. Tell us about this invention of yours, Professor.
"Well, I still do have heart problems and when I was young, I nearly died because of it. Now, I feel better and I am better. That is why I choose cardiology as my specialization. The heart is like the sum of all fears and joy. It reminds us we are alive. I also love photography. I was thinking of Artificial intelligence and how it can help and not scare us. I made this predictive analytics for personalized therapy that increases image acquisition, as well as robotics for better diagnosis, rehabilitation and treatment. We shouldn't be scared of AI. AI is here we should embrace it. Besides, he continued while looking at someone, AI is just an assistant, a helper if you will, what matters most is still us, our brain, our hand and our humane feelings. AI wouldn’t do something we don’t want. It is here to help.
Across the room, Soo Hyun or as she is called here now, Sophia. Dr. Sophia and Professor Sophia, too. She looks at him with extreme pride of what he has become. Not only pride but admiration of not just what he accomplished but by what he looks now- hot. He looks like a model straight from a photo shoot, wearing black suit and his glasses only adds to his sexiness and confidence which actually is very fitting as the sexiest man alive in Germany. Her belly is having butterflies just thinking and looking at her husband. Looking at her wedding ring, she reminisce their intimate wedding. When she followed him here in Germany, the next month they got married. It was just the two of them, the Las Vegas kind but of course, legal. Seon Yul wanted a bigger one, with her family but she thought otherwise, she aren't ready yet to go back to those memories of home. She wanted this for them alone, and that is all that matters and so they did.
What was the inspiration of your innovation and of everything that's been happening in your life? To add, what is your advice for medical students like you as they go on their journey?
Never give up, Seon yul said. "As for the inspiration, Hmmm, my family is in heaven and I hope I am making them proud. Then, I met a woman who at first I didn't really like. That woman never left me alone and I realized I was in love with her. She gave me another reason to live and feel alive. I thought that we are the same and if I can heal her heart then maybe I can heal mine. So, I want to spend my life healing my wife's heart as I continue to heal mine "

The interview ended. Seon Yul shook hand with Mia, the interviewer from the magazine. He then reached for Soo Hyun and hugged her. She wanted to break away for there are some people in the room but he held her tightly and she was helpless. She kissed his cheek and both smile shyly. They held hands and went home.
For 2 years, they cuddled, made love, made new names for themselves, made new friends but never forgetting home. A year after their 1st Christmas together, they received news that Kim Joon died after he collapsed during the hearing. He was for the most part in comatose at that time. As their 2nd holidays season approaches, near the fireplace with Christmas decorations and gifts for each other, sitting side by side, well Soo Hyun sitting in Seon Yul's lap, his favorite position as he calls it, she asked if he wanted to have a family. "I am sorry that I cannot bear a child anymore. I know you want to have a family. I am getting old too". Seon Yul touched her face and put her extra hair back at her ear, and said "All my life, I only wanted one thing- YOU. My family is YOU. With baby or not, you are my baby. You will never grow old. You will always be my baby. Besides, you already have a son. I am ok with that. He can be my son, too." Soo Hyun's chest is about to explode by his words and started crying. She missed Gun woo , she missed home, the orphanage but most importantly she cries of how lucky she is to be loved by such a good man. Seon Yul kissed her slowly and passionately. Slow kisses are their thing and they sure do take their time. Seon Yul stopped , rasing eyebrows from Soo Hyun, "what is wrong? she asked. "Do you want to go home? " She was surprised by the question. Before she can answered he said "Let us go home, then".
But your life is here, Seon Yul. He replied "My life is wherever you are. Always remember that. As long as we are together. Mind, body and soul. As long as we have each other. Nothing else matters.
Seon Yul and Soo Hyun lived the rest of their lives loving each other while healing each other. At last, now, they are both at peace. They still have nightmares but now they have each other and together they face it and sleep through it forever. They went home after 2 years but Seon Yul continued his practice in Germany and goes back home every 3 months and during the holiday season.
Gun woo, this is Seon Yul, my husband. You will always have your Dad but can he be your friend, at least? Soo Hyun asked while putting flowers in his grave. Despite of everything that has happened over the last 10 years of their lives, here they are back to where it started.
"I love you, Soo hyun. I love you, Seon Yul".
Two worlds, two souls beat as one. All the hurt in the world couldn't break the one thing that makes us whole- love. Indeed, it is still a wonderful world.
