Charlie smiled slightly. “Clearing my head.” She sighs.
"...Half an hour's hike out?" he questioned, furrowing his brows with suspicion. "Especially with Jason running around..."

Charlie smiled slightly. “Clearing my head.” She sighs.
"...Half an hour's hike out?" he questioned, furrowing his brows with suspicion. "Especially with Jason running around..."
Glancing down at his skin, she cringed a bit, tugging harder on her sleeves to make sure she was adequately covered. “Don’t scratch,” she warned him.
"But it itches!" he groaned, stopping the scratching but continuing to rub the red welts with the palm of his hand furiously.
”You can’t be serious.”
"No one told me!"
Off would totally work for that.
"Do you have any on you?"
"Yeah I know, I think I have some OFF! in my room, would you like some?"
"Ugh, yes please," Emmett grumbled, furiously scratching his arm.
Charlie squinted at the boy. “I could ask you the same.”
"Thought I'd go exploring..." his voice trailed off in suspicion. "What about you?"
"Welcome to the woods," Danielle chuckled, pulling the sleeves of her sweatshirt down to protect her own arms from the bugs.
"I look like I have the chicken pox," Emmett grumbled to himself, glancing down at his arm raked with scratches and red bumps.
"Well, the woods tend to have loads of those, sadly for us."
"There aren't any mosquitoes in Washington."
"What you need is bug spray. Has no one offered you any?"
"We had bug spray this whole time?"
Charlie laughed as she overheard a boy talking. Following the noise, she looked at him and nodded. “That’s nature for ya.”
Emmett turned at the sound of the laugh, finding a slender blonde head making her way into the clearing. "What're you doing out here?" he asked. It wasn't as if he were a few minutes walk from the cabin - more like fifteen minutes.
Emmett’s excitement was contagious, and Marley just had to share his grin. She was extremely excited for Tuesday’s event, and she figured Emmett was too. Her knotted stomach turned into butterflies, and she scooted over so he could sit next to her.
"I love the idea of having a small picnic on the dock, but I kind of think Jensen, or the producers arrange the whole thing." Marley said shrugging her shoulders. "We could always skip out on what they have planned for us and do that?"
Emmett took Marley's butt-scootch as a sign she wanted him to sit, so he took the opportunity and slid onto the bench, his thigh just slightly resting against hers. She was even prettier from this view -her hair glowed, an almost halo around her head. An anxious hand ran through his hair. "Oh yeah..." he frowned. Emmett didn't necessarily trust Jensen's judgement, nor the producers'. "Um, I'll take care of it, okay?" He flashed her a reassuring smile, resisting the urge to slip his hand into hers and squeeze it.
"There are - freakin' mosquitoes everywhere!"
Do you like squirrels? Have you seen any today? How big were they? Were they eating? If so what?
"You sound like Doug from ‘Up’."
Gum or licorice?
"Licorice is gross - gum for sure."
Triangle or square?
"Squares, ‘cause they’re even."
Real or unreal? DO you believe life is a hallucination caused by oxygen?
"Uh, no."
F or T?
"If you mean feeling or thinking, I think a mix of both. Otherwise I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about.”
